Pokémon XY Leaks

Y'all are missing the point, it's a significant drop off
They could just, you know, be tired of playing. Without guides, some of the postgame stuff can be really obscure. Does anybody remember getting Heatran in Platinum? It was ridiculously confusing even with a guide.

Again, missing the point. I don't mind the drop off, I'm in favor of it (if there is one). They were getting caught up in just how high the amount of legendaries was in Gen V and discrediting some of the ones I listed. The list is still in double digits, which exemplifies my point. It's a drop off that I understand would piss people off, though I like a smaller amount of legendaries. That being said, I would want a break too after so many people expecting so much nonstop info 24/7

dat orgia mode.

Mega Evolve when you're inflicted with any sort of status to heal it and get a second shot and terrorizing the opponent.

I personally hope it does that, but I doubt it.

If it's anything like Orgia Mode I'd have to cry, watching my Mega Pokemon "overheat" and then take crazy damage from all fronts.

Also, Persona x Pokemon is a crossover waiting to happen, I would be so happy.

I'm actually quite happy to sacrifice number of new Pokemon and number of Legendaries for more Mega Evolutions and a new type.

Legendaries in Gen IV and V were outrageous. I liked it much more in Gen I / II when legendaries were actually rare. I also really like Mega Evolutions, it seems like a really legitimate way to breath new life in old Pokemon. I'm much happier having a wider selection of viable Pokemon then having a huge number of Pokemon but half of them are awful. It seems like Gamefreak put a lot of thought into the Pokemon they did release. Few of them seem like garbage, and lots of old Pokemon seem like they could be viable again with Mega Evolutions. I'm fully expecting more Mega Evolutions to come from events, or even DLC. There could be Megas that simply aren't accessible now, but a quick download activates some text from an NPC who provides hint for a newly hidden Mega Stone. Just like that, we get to hunt for a new stone, which leads to a previously unattainable Mega Evo.

Plus, lets not forget the time it took to build a FULLY 3D world and flesh out all the Pokemon.

I think this Gen is fantastic, personally.

It's hardly about the smaller amount of legendaries, it's that we didn't even get the most basic of legendaries this time around. The bare-minimum for every gen should be the mascot trio, the ingame trio, and at least 1 600 BST. While the 600 BST should be event-only and unknown to people right now, the fact that we didn't even get the traditional trio turned people off. How is this hard to get?

I have to agree with so many legendaries was very odd, even if V gen is 1 of my favourities. By far this new gen looks amaizing... I want my X version NOW!

Technically, Gen. I only had 1 trio, and 2 other Legendaries. I'd put money down that that is the route they will be going this gen.

Gen 1 had 5 legendaries, Gen 2 had 6. We have 3 known right now, but the game's not even out yet. People shouldn't judge it as a complete game when they haven't even touched it. How is that hard to get?

yeah i was hoping for zero legendaries except for the cover ones or even none at all, most of the gen 5 ones ended up being broken and took forever to kick out of Ou. there have been way to many lately, gen 5 had a stupid amount. seeing a ton of legendaries everywhere you go doesnt even make them seem special. its not like you cant import all the old ones, there are tons. I like the attempts to actually improve the metagame and make use of pokemon that aready exist instead of just throwing a few hundred crappy designs together. these games will have way better graphics, a whole new metagame, a new type, retyping of old pokemon, new moves, new abilities, mega evolution, sky battles and yet people all people can do is complain about there only being 3 legendaries.
The problem with this logic is that it assumes that all legendary pokemon are overpowered which is untrue and it depends on the format. Besides Mega pokemon have legendary pokemon like stats and most of them didn't even need it.

Bear in mind that we don't know anything about events yet either. The single-room cave screams event. I could see us getting 2-3 event legendaries this time around given how easy they are to distribute compared to previous generations. As far as megas go, I highly doubt Blaziken will be the only event mega evolution. There's no telling how many others there will be. We won't know for sure until someone actually looks at the game files.

I'm ok with no trio. No trio means there isn't a repeat of Thundurus at VGC, and since no RNG abuse in 6th gen (for a while at least), it helps even out the competition.

THEY SAID THERE WOULDN'T BE ANY DLC, SO STOPPING SAYING THERE WILL BE!!!

I just need to see some confirmation on Mega Tyranitar, just want to know for sure that it is real, so hopefully one of the leakers can find the Tyranitarite and we can see this guy up close! Really excited about this game, more than any other Pokemon game, and the leaks just help pass the time!

How does NOT being able to guarantee you have the best Pokémon possible for your team when other people will probably only show up with Max IV mons anyway do anything to even the playing field? RNG made it significantly easier to get perfect stats legitimately without sinking so much time into the game and praying for a perfect spread. Being unable to RNG means people will get shafted on their IV spreads and will be less powerful than the lucky bastards who got good/perfect spreads.

EDIT: Also, you want a specific Hidden Power? Pray that the Random Number God decides to bless you.

To be quite frank, I would probably scream in joy if there was no mascot legendary - what was novel with Gen II and taken to its fullest with Gens III to V is now just tired. No villainous team trying to rule the world with a small god. Just... A boy or a girl on a journey, their friends and rivals, and the dangers and excitement of the uncharted. Legendaries would feel a lot more special if Game Freak put more effort into making them legendary rather than just adding new shiny toys on the block.

I mean, this is the imaginary conversation I keep seeing pop-up when I read these remarks:
  • A: We need new demigod monsters in this game.
  • B: Well, what happened to the last ones you had?
  • A: What last ones?
  • B: Didn't you have some flaming feathered dragon with a fusion engine for a tail that represented hope or ideals or something thanks to a boy of destiny?
  • A: Oh. Her. ... I guess. Kinda boring now.
  • B: Well, what about that creepy, still not fully explained anti-matter dragon?
  • A: That was forever ago! Shit's old news!
  • B: Well, technically they never really brought out the god of the uni-
  • A: Yawn. Been there, done that, new things!
Don't get me wrong - I am all for more options for gameplay. I just feel that limiting the number of legendaries in this game was a really wise decision. I remember when I viewed the legendary birds and beasts with a kind of awe when approaching them in-game. Now they feel infinitesimally ... pointless, because they're never involved in the plot (that'd be too much legend saturation), they show up for one generation, and after that, they're merely boxes to check off on your PokeDex list.

They're locked off breeding and you get them late in the game, too, so you never really can 'customize' them. They're there for the "awe" factor, and yet... they just don't have an 'awe' factor when they're everywhere.

It helps even out the competition because if there were a legend on the level of Thundurus again, everyone would have to pray for good IVs.
