Pokémon XY Leaks

So do we have any actual proof of Mega Aggron and Tyranitar other than the balloons? I mean, any mega stones or anything?

Just want to make sure I'm not getting hyped up over some over-stylized balloon.

...is this sarcasm?
Last I checked Mawile and Absol are preeetty popular
They are really realllllly not.
Before now Mawile was a weak underused pokemon rarely found anywhere. Absol is slightly less extreme.
Do they have fans? Of course! All pokemon have fans.

But would you seriously call them popular among people? In general? Near the same level as starters, various "cooler" Pokemon (particularily from the height of its popularity) like Gyarados, legendaries, or shoot even the inexplicable popularity of Stunfisk in Japan (now there's a mega evolution that should happen).
Popular enough that gamefreak was looking through pokemon, saw Mawile vs I don't know... how about Weavile and decided the former was more popular?
e: Wait Zoroark is a better example let's go with that

I wish one of the leakers would look into why Gourgeist has a "small form" in the Pokedex. Is there a large form? How mysterious.

Just balloons.

I find your lack of faith disturbing...

Mega Tyranitar confirmed

Also, to clarify, yes, I was talking about the trademarked list. I discarded it at first, but sure enough, every mega revealed from leaks so far since it has been brought up was revealed, barring Venusaur (It was brought up soon after the original 6 were revealed.)while I'm sure it won't cover every mega, 14/22 is more than enough to at least warrant at least a good amount of consideration, at least in the same vein as the pokebeach leaks before they got the seal of legitimacy from the Smogon admins.

Mawile and Absol are fairly popular among a lot of my friends. Though I see your point.

im positive meddle isn't being serious.

also has it been confirmed how clauncher evolves? I don't think it has anything to do with crabhammer considering it was a known move for it when images and information about it was released

Heh. This is what the thread has devolved into.

Re: Clauncher evolution - it's most definitely an evolve-by-known-move 'mon. Not sure if it was Crabhammer (that seems right?) but Clauncher's analogue in Y is Skrelp and I highly doubt they wouldn't share evolution methods. Clawitzer might not have had Crabhammer if the leaker overwrote it with a move that it learned upon evolving.

Especially when they just so happen to learn these moves at the same level at which point they seem to evolve...I believe, anyway

Guy are we sure that they're mega evos? In the corner it says tyranitar balloon not mega tyranitar. Are there any pics of confirmed mega evo balloons so we can see if they say the name only or mega name?

I like how Mega Macy's Day Paraditar seems like it's just wearing a Pupitar on its chest. We need more Mevos that armament themselves with their young. If Mega SlowBro is a thing, it needs to have full Shellder armor and swing an actual Slowpoke around like a flail.

I'd rather MegaSlowbro just be a regular Slowbro but with a Cloyster on its tail.

R_N how is this not awesome?

I've loved Aggron since Ruby/Sapphire. Regardless, it definitely fits the design characteristic of mega evolutions and might fit the game balance aspect as well.

Doubt they would do a redesign of Tyranitar just to be a balloon. Unless those images are fake, which I doubt at this point, safe to say Tyranitar gets a mega, and I'm loving every moment of it.

I don't know what to say, other than in my time on the internet Mawile and Absol seem to be among Pokemon that a significant number of people really like, and also often see cited as Pokemon that deserve evolutions. Maybe not on the level of Gyarados and Charizard, or Aggron for that matter, but certainly up there in my opinion.

It's one of the things which has always confounded me about pokemon fans, since I personally care for neither.

Aggron happened because someone drawing mega evolutions likes Aggron. Well, I'm glad we figured that one out. The charts and formulas were exhausting, but we reached the complicated conclusion.

Farfetch'd is also cited as wanting evolutions
Because it's awful

really, it's all relative. I've never really seen a large fanbase for Mawile, for instance, at least until the popularity arguments started cropping up

Don't forget that when a Pokemon mega evolves, it doesn't say Mega Lucario or whatever. It's still Lucario.
Also none of hte other balloons (magneton, for instance) are altered like this. And it doesn't seem like they're altered in such a way that would make the training harder, either.

I wonder where they would go with MegaAggron stat-wise.
I'm thinking major boosts to its SpD and Atk along with improved SpA while it remains slow.
The Dragon/Steel typing someone suggested would be amazing.
