Xerneas

Why would aegislash ever kings shield against xerneas? I'm almost positive iron head + shadow sneak is a ko on it while shrugging off the rest of its attacks. And even if xerneas switches it's still a win for you

Both a SE HP Ground and a NVE Moonblast cannot get the OHKO on Aegislash, and Aegislash win either way. Not running Focus Miss means you get walled by Steel Arceus, Ferrothorn, Dialga, among other steels

Dialga is dragon , u dont need to run the focus blast on it ~

252/0 variants can take a +2 Moonblast and OHKO back
I dont know how u calculate

397*1.5*1.3*95*2*42=6177717*0.85~1.00=5251059~6177717

dialga 252hp/0sdef
404*236*50=4767200 , 100% dead
dialga 252hp/252sdef
404*299*50=6039800 , 15% dead , 85% alive

so only the full sdef/hp dialga can survive a +2 moon blast

I forgot to factor in Fairy Aura, and essentially ran a calc for +2 Latios Dragon Pulse on Dialga

How many speed EVs are we estimating we'll want for a Geomancy set?
I guess everyone will has different PM to outspeed in their mind

for example

if u want to outspeed the scarf Garchomp , u need only 250speed for Xerneas , so u will only need 64 speed EVs

So Xerneas is shaping up to be one terrifying sweeper. With one Geomancy boost down there are very few things that could potentially beat or phaze this thing out. Moonblast/Focus Blast/Tbolt gives you coverage against pretty much everything in the Ubers tier, and many Pokemon you somehow might not be able to OHKO cannot do anything back due to the +2 SDef boost. Not to mention conventional Choice Scarf revenge killers fall flat against this too! This is definitely a Mon you don't want to see set-up late game, and I'm thinking getting this thing weakened or setting-up too early will be one of the ways to deal with it. Expect to see a lot more Poison Arceus being used.

On another note this gets Aromatherapy which is a really good move that's only been seen on Chansey in Ubers, it's a shame it's really hard to fit in.

So... You guys think Xerneas will be the first suspect tested pokémon in ubers tier because "Power Herb Geomancy"? I see this behemoth centralizing ubers like hell because this typing and superoverpowered move.

Amazing late game sweeper no doubt. Wide array of setup targets, amazing power after setup, and ability to outspeed any relevant Choice Scarf user are all amazing traits for a sweeper. However, Mega Scizor, Assault Vest Dialga, Aegislash (if it doesn't get Earth Power), Arceus Poison, Assault Vest Metagross, and Chansey will keep it in check.

Fundamentally we can't do that as it goes against the point of Ubers and Ubers policy. I mean if we could do that and wanted to Kyogre would've been banned long ago.

alexwolf slightly off topic but what does Assault Vest do?

+1 SpD boost and the holder gets perma-Taunted.

A resisted Moonblast is stronger than a neutral Thunderbolt, which means Thunderbolt is really only better on Ho-oh, and Heatran.
248/252+ Heatran with Assault Vest is 2HKOed by +2 Focus Blast
248/252+ Heatran without Assault Vest is immediately cleanly OHKOed.
And Heatran cannot OHKO back with Iron Head
Hence I think Psyshock should always be used over Thunderbolt because it hits Ho-oh, bulky poisons and pink blobs harder than any of its other coverage moves, and also providing almost unresisted coverage.

Good point about Psyshock, although we were talking about Assault Vest Dialga. Thunderbolt 2HKOes Aegislash though, which would otherwise completely wall you. It really depends on which of the two, Poison Arceus or Aegislash, becomes more common.

The thing about Geomancy is, it's one-shot. If Xerneas gets forced out just once after using it, it's lost its item and a move slot. It could end up Uber regardless, but there's no way to tell yet, and we're not supposed to assume.

The mixed set in the OP has too many slashes IMO. Moonblast/Thunder(bolt)/Close Combat/Psyshock is all Xerneas needs, and any other move listed there is honestly filler.

Oh sorry I'm not used to this new item lol

About Psyshock vs Tbolt, Psyshock seems like the superior option if you can OHKO Ho-Oh with it. At this point it's getting really scary if it can smash Poison Arceus.

Dialga still takes a shitload from +2 Focus Blast (71.78 - 84.65%) with Assault Vest and 252/200, but even 56 Atk Iron Tail cannot OHKO Xerneas in return

So hard to find a check for this thing. I guess the most reliable so far should be Red Card. About time it gets some use

EDIT: WAIT! Did I just find the check for this thing? Just slap Red Card on something, let it die to force Xerneas out. Then it loses its Power Herb. Now you can actually wall it with stuff.

Any calcs with scizor switching in geomancy? How about metagross doing so? We already know this sucker gets psyshock, so poison-ceus might not be a nice answer... Who will ever force this out? Coz kyogre and normal arceus we could be forcing it out many times, but this one seems kinda impossible.
