How truly useful is Ninjask+Octillery/Cradily?

I've been thinking of using this combo for several days now. The only problem is that Ninjask doesn't hold up well against Scarfers while in Advance he could outspeed everything. The good part is though that both Cradily and Octillery benefited from this new gen. Octillery gained Physical attacks to use in tandem with Jask's Sword Dances (Waterfall,Gunk Shot...). So the question is...how usable is it in today's metagame with the ability of resisting Roar/Whirlwind?

Ninjask works just fine against Scarfers. Max speed + Protect first turn means you're running 628 (non beneficial nature) next turn. Can't say I've seen many Scarfers that fast.

Works better now then it did in Advance, just watch out for heavy hitters on the pass. Dily can take a hit, Octillery not as much.

There's no point in using absolute max Speed if you have Protect, unless you also have Aerial Ace and are scared of other Ninjask. You might as well pump Attack and Defense (to take Fighting hits).

The real question is, can Octillery or Cradily really sweep with just Speed Boost?

Sure, but only if you're not running Sub, as surely it would then make sense to run 324 HP to pass the biggest possible Subs. Also, how many people do you know that attack Ninjask with Fighting attacks? That only seems to make sense when trying to switch in, which given the abundance of Stealth Rock and Sandstorm doesn't appear to be a strategy that would work in the long term.
The big question I'd ask is, in the D/P metagame, does Speed Boost passing work at all, never mind with Suction Cups? I for one would not be fooled by it anymore, and Trick Room teams are becoming more popular by the day it seems, so I don't believe any other intelligent battler would either.

Well, He can baton pass a Swords dance, but a Tauntdos can predict it and taunt.

Non-Taunt Gyarados still Intimidates Ninjask, which means it will be BPing a -1Atk, preventing the recepient from sweeping, unless they were using only special attacks.

Octillery could be fun with with Sniper and 105 in the attack stats, Cradily definitely can't sweep though.

I've seen one kind in Scarlet's team, that generally, if you want to just sweep and take out Blissey, generally a mixed set tends to be the most effective, Waterfall / Energy Ball / Flamethrower / Charge Beam, which is also handy in eliminating threats like Gyarados.
