YES, I know that I should be posting this in the Tech Support, but I feel its too long to post as a reply. So here is what I have to say:


As we all know, Pokemon Showdown's server has been crashing much more recently. Dr Ceil Said:

This got me thinking. And it came up with a thought more nasty than nasty plot. Could the hacker that defaced Pokemon Showdown/Smogon before (Root in a Box) be at it? If so, PS needs to up their Security, and bring that **** to justice. If not, we must improve the servers! This is the second time I had experienced this. Normally, I would think that I have a crappy computer (Which I do :P), or its just an overload. But this. This is madness! THIS, IS, POKEMON SHOWDOWN!
 
Yeah I'm pretty annoyed right now. Just downloaded PS for the first time and spent an hour building my dream team, just so I got a message saying I can't connect to the server. Dunno if my problem is related to this one... but still UGH. Waiting for a reply to my post on the tech support thread.

Yes, it is. I know how you feel bro.
 
Just to point out, don't post stuff like this in Tech Support not because it's long, but because it doesn't belong there (or anywhere really) as it's not a problem on your end. Yes the server's down, but it's not necessarily a hacker - it could be Gen 6 implementation or other dev work. User counts are through the roof recently, which is great (!) but brings stress on the server too. Trust me, it's being worked on as you read this and will be up as soon as is feasible.
 
To put that into perspective, we had over 6600 users online at one point yesterday.

The most we had before XY was... 4500, maybe pushing 5000?

Thanks, and sorry. Glad that ***** is not back. I can understand.
Speaking of Gen VI, when will the sprites be animated and when will the cries be implemented
