Data Battle Tower MkII (For all your Match-Seeking Needs!) [SEE POST #6786]

I guess I need a fite. :|

4v4 LC Doubles
3 Day DQ Time
∞ Recoveries/∞ Chills per Pokémon
2 Substitutions per Pokémon
Arena: Moody Arena
Field Type
: Neutral
Complexity: Intense
Format: All

Restrictions: No Restrictions

Description: Scientists have managed to create a Moody Ray which they are testing today on an arena that looks very similar to the ASB Tournament Arena, except smaller & no grandstands. The ray itself is very large, but a small barrel where Moody Beams are shot out of. Do not worry, the beams themselves are harmless & will not damage the Pokémon. The scientists are testing the effects of Moody on Pokémon & their stacking effects. Whenever a Pokémon is sent in, a beam is fired, & it gains the Moody Ability, even if it already had the ability. Be careful as the Moody Ray is on the arena floor on the side, & any damage to it can make it go unstable, forcing it to fire beams at random targets, raising or lowering stats permanently (While out in battle) until the scientists can fix the ray & make it stable again.

Mechanics:
  • All Pokémon in the arena have the Moody Ability in addition to their regular abilities, even those that already have Moody.
  • Moody cannot be Skill Swapped, removed, or negated by any means.
  • The effects of Moody are maintained, that is, if a Pokémon inherits a Brave Moody Nature, then it will have it for the rest of the battle. If it then gets Timid, then it will inherit the benefits of both Brave & Timid Moody Natures, & so on, only rolling for Moody Natures that have not been inherited yet.
    • If the Pokémon naturally has the Moody Ability, & it is used in battle, then they inherit two Moody Natures every round instead of one.
  • If the Moody Ray is damaged either by being targeted by an attack, or damaged by a damaging move that hits all other targets bar the user, then the Moody Ray will become unstable & go out of control for six actions.
    • At the end of each action, a beam is fired at a random Pokémon, which hits the target, boosting a random stat (Out of Atk/Def/SpA/SpD/Spe/Acc/Eva) by two stages. Another beam is then fired at a random Pokémon, which hits the target, lowering a random stat (Out of Atk/Def/SpA/SpD/Spe/Acc/Eva) by one stage.
    • These boosts are maintained at the end of each round. The same Pokémon can be hit by both beams in the same action, & the beam will still attempt to raise a stat that is at a stage of ±6.
Summary: The battles here are rather... inconsistent.
Anyone?

Field Type: Neutral
Complexity: Intense

Restrictions: No Digging

Pick the Greek and the Persian either randomly or by agreement.

- Only bring the amount of Pokemon they can send in in the battle, so in 2v2, for example, they can only bring 2 Pokemon
- No Chill or Recovery
- All Pokemon get +1 to each rank (Atk, Def, Spa, Spd), and +10 HP and Spe
- All energy usage is halved
- Every seven rounds, at the beginning of the round the Greeks get reinforcements. A random one of their Pokemon is fully healed and gets +60 Energy.
- Prayer
At the beginning of every round, the Greeks may chose to make a prayer to one of the Olympians. They chose to do so at the beginning of the round when they order. No energy costs are halved. All costs are taken off of an active Greek Pokemon of the Greek’s choice.
Olympian - Cost - Benefit
Zeus - 10 EN - A random opponent is hit by Thunderbolt off of a rank 4 Spa.
Poseidon - 10 EN - All opponents are hit by Surf off of a rank 2 Spa.
Hades - x EN - A random opponent is hit by Toxic. The condition goes away after x/3 rounds.
Hera - x EN - you heal x/2 HP.
Hestia - 10 EN - A random opponent is struck by a Mystical Fire off of a rank 3 Spa.
Athena - 15 EN - Gain an extra Substitution this round.
Ares - 15+x EN - One random Greek Pokemon in play gains +2 attack rank for x actions.
Apollo - 15+x EN - All physical non-contact moves used by the Greeks gain 15% accuracy for x actions.
Artemis - 20 EN - The next attack made by a random female Greek Pokemon will automatically crit.
Demeter - 10 EN - A random opponent is hit by a Bullet Seed that hits 3 times off of a rank 4 Atk.
Hermes - x EN - All Greek Pokemon will go first in their priority bracket for x/10 turns. If multiple are in the same bracket, they will move based on speed.
Dionysus - x HP - The Pokemon gains x/2 EN.
Hephaestus - 10 EN - A random opponent is hit by Flamethrower off a base 4 Spa.
To make a prayer, you must say so in your orders. The format is:
Prayer(God)(Pokemon cost is taken from)~A1~A2~A3
If there is a variable in the cost, the format is:
Prayer(God)(Pokemon cost is taken from)(Variable)~A1~A2~A3
So if I wanted to make a prayer to Dionysus off of my Sunkern and regain 5 energy, I would write:
Prayer(Dionysus)(Sunkern)(10 HP)~A1~A2~A3
- Can bring the normally legal amount of Pokemon (so 3 in a 2v2, for example), AND CAN USE THAT MANY
- Infinite Chill and Recovery
- Energy use is doubled
- Prayer Substitutions
The Persian can make a substitution based on if the Greek prays of not. The Persian can do:
IF Prayer THEN ___, which will activate any time the Greeks pray.
IF Prayer(God) THEN ___, which will activate any time the Greeks pray to that God
IF Prayer(Pokemon) THEN ___, which will activate any time the Greeks pray, with the cost being paid by that Pokemon if it’s Greek or with the effect hitting that Pokemon if its Persian.
IF Prayer(Variable) THEN ___, which will activate any time the Greeks pray with that variable.
Or any combination of the above, ex. IF Prayer(God)(Pokemon) means that in order for the Substitution to activate, the Greeks have to pray to that God, with the cost being paid by that Pokemon if it’s Greek or with the effect hitting that Pokemon if its Persian.

Description:
Thermopylae is a narrow mountain pass in eastern Greece. It is the only way to travel along the Balkan peninsula, and therefore a key strategic location to anyone wanting to attack Greece. To the west are mountains and to the east is the Malian Gulf. On the Persian side of the pass are the floodplains of the Spercheios River, and on the Greek side is a direct route to Athens.
It is only natural, therefore, that the pass would be the site of several battles. The first and most famous of these battles took place in 480 BC. Ten years ago, the Persian army had been dealt its first defeat in battle in over three centuries, at the hands of the brilliant Athenian general Themistocles. After the battle, General Datis ordered a Persian retreat. King of Kings Darius I began planning a new attack, with he himself at the helm. However, a rebellion in Egypt lead to his death, and he was succeeded by his son, Xerxes. It fell to Xerxes to launch the attack, and he did so, launching an invasion in the spring of 480, from Sardis. After crossing the Hellespont, Xerxes set off for Athens.
He encountered no real resistance until September of 480. His scouts had located the first Greek layer of defenses, a mere 7000 Greeks defending the pass at Thermopylae. Xerxes failed to listen to his generals, who suggested that he should attempt to negotiate with the Greeks, or find another way to Athens. He allegedly said (translated from Persian), “I am Xerxes the Great, King of Kings, Ruler of the Four Corners of the World! Not the Greeks, nor the Egyptians, nor anyone else can stand in my way, as they did to my weak father! I will not negotiate with my rightful subjects!” And so, Xerxes decided to attack the Greeks with the full force of the greatest war machine the world had ever known.
The Greek force was under the command of one of the greatest warriors in the history of the Greek people, King Leonidas I the Brave of Sparta. What he lacked in caution he more that made up for in charisma, rhetoric, and skill. Indeed, Leonidas was supposedly the descendant of the great Greek hero Hercules. He had recieved a prophecy from the Oracle at Delphi:
For you, inhabitants of wide-wayed Sparta,
Either your great and glorious city must be wasted by Persian men,
Or if not that, then the bound of Lacedaemon must mourn a dead king, from Heracles' line.
The might of bulls or lions will not restrain him with opposing strength; for he has the might of Zeus.
I declare that he will not be restrained until he utterly tears apart one of these.
The prophecy told him that either he, or Sparta, must perish. When Themistocles gave the order to retreat, and pull the Persians into a trap at Athens, Leonidas came up with a better idea: He would defend the pass with a token force of Spartans. He knew he could hold out for many days, allowing Themistocles to build his ambush. This is how the battle of Thermopylae began.
The small Greek force of 7000, including 300 of Sparta’s best, held the pass for seven days against a better armed Persian force of two million, the largest army in a single battle in the history of Persia. At the end of the seventh, the Persians found a small pass, enough for only a few soldiers, and attacked the Greek’s rear guard. The Greeks would still have held out, however, as they had posted expert snipers at the pass, who could defend it against any amount of Persians long enough for a messenger to reach Thermopylae and for reinforcements to arrive. The messenger, however, was bribed by Xerxes, and betrayed the Greeks, allowing Xerxes to defeat the Greek force from the rear.

Bayleef - Wendy (F)
153.png

They say the calmest waters often hide the most turbulent undercurrents, the stillest air often the premonition to the most terrible storms. So does Wendy. She's nice and pretty, often the team's peacemaker (pacemaker too), but her spirit is indomitable. In battle, Wendy wields the very force of nature itself - the plants and the wind that blows between leaves are her primary defence. Wendy is very trusting of strangers, despite Charla's frequent rebukes, but the fact that they're inseparable makes most Daycare visitors hesitate - except for Zheng. Wendy looks upon Natsu and Gray as big brothers, and they respond in kind - protective of their siblings as if of the same lineage.

After months of travel, Zheng intends to find a suitable place to build a small monastery, where he can have a roof over his family's head while he preaches and travels on his own. Wendy is the first to express support for the idea - a plant must have roots, after all. The outside world has weathered her and given her experience, but she remains hopeful of the promise of a better present and future - especially when she founds herself having fun with the girls in the family, or going about on errands with the lads. She is determined to protect the family's roots, as she calls their indomitable spirit, and will fight if the challenges arise.

Kirlia - Lucy (F)
281.png

Born without a family in the wild, Lucy’s life has been fraught with peril of being hunted and bullied by most other wild, stronger Pokemon. One such incident left her under severe shock from poison by an unknown aggressive Poison-type. Had a human not happened by, she would’ve died or at best, crippled for life. Luckily, Zheng was the second person to found her, called by a fellow trainer who was looking for mushrooms in that region. Together they saved the Ralts, and after a brief discussion Zheng named her Lucy and brought her into his family. Gray was the first to be able to contact directly with her, but it was through efforts and enthusiasm of the whole gang that brought her out of trauma and into life again.

Despite her growing strength, Lucy still has much distaste for open, direct conflict - hence she is very much like Wendy in that regard, learning the arts of healing and support, using direct attacks as distraction rather than full-on assault. Despite that, she gets on quite well with most of the brawling boys - they respect her decision, and will not hesitate to take her side against any foes who dared to so much as insult her. In turn, Lucy is the logical voice of the whole family - her ideas always astute outside of battle, with her innate mental capabilities only enhance her charms and perception.

I will ref two battles on this arena:

25% chance of rain
13% chance of hail
12% chance of sandstorm

Rain:

I am also putting out a challenge of my own, as I really really fell behind on training and need to have my 2-3 matches up constantly.

2v2 LC Singles
B2P2
Switch = Ok

2 Day DQ
2 Recoveries/Unlimited Chills
Arena: Santax Arms Manufactory: LC edition (See Below)
Arena: Santax Arms Manufactory: LC Edition
Field Type: Steel
Complexity: Moderate

Restrictions: No natural water or plant sources

Description:

"You enter a warehouse, and find yourself in an arms dealer's source. The entire plant seems to be operated by machines, and there is a strong metallic smell in the air."

The arena is well lit by its many windows, so all moves that require a light source may function normally. Several conveyor belts carry arms and armor past the field, and a pokemon may equip one on sendout, or by using the special action [Equip (Name of item) (Pokémon Equipping it)] The items are as follows:

Ballistic Vest: (Command [Equip Vest --]) Effects of the item Assault Vest, with the exception that the boosted rank may not rise past Five (5). lasts for the next three special attacks you are hit by.

AK Assault Rifle: (Command [Equip Rifle --]) Adds Two (3) to the BAP of next Three (3) non contact special attacks used by this pokemon, but this pokemon may only use attacking moves, (as Assault Vest).

Field Type
: Neutral
Complexity: Moderate
Format: Any
Restrictions: All Pokemon have a size class of 7 and a weight class of 12, all attacks ignore weight restrictions, random pokemon gets attacked by the SDF at the end of every round

Description: The battlefield is Japan's capital in all of its entirety, from the heart of Shinjuku all the way out to the city limits. How could both trainers' pokemon possibly find each other in such a crowded metropolis?

When the pokemon are 500 feet tall, that's how.

In short, we're playing Godzilla here. All pokemon are treated as if their size class was 7 and their weight class 12. Furthermore, any weight restrictions on attacks (such as psychic) can be ignored for this battle. There's enough seawater to use water attacks, enough vegetation (natural or otherwise) to use Grass Knot, and enough buildings/tanks/laser cannons to serve for certain rock moves.

Lastly, At the end of each round, RNG one of the pokemon currently in play. The Japanese self-defense force will attack that pokemon for a fixed 10 damage.
