That is the command that I meant, sorry for the confusion.

Crap, I just realised something, don't keep your egg in your party, it hatches :(

If you go to Services (run from start/search menu), do your settings match these? "Remote Procedure Call - should be enabled, Automatic
COM+ Event System" (EventSystem) - should be enabled, Manual
System Event Notification Service - should be enabled, Automatic
Volume Shadow Copy - should be enabled, Manual
Microsoft Software Shadow Copy Provider - should be enabled, manual "

edit: are you also having firewall problems? o_O Google makes it sound like you may have a virus or malware.

Your TRAINER shiny value can only be seen if you put up a pokemon that's yours. So yes, just show him something that you've caught.
Each EGG has its own shiny value that you need to give to someone else who matches it to cause it to hatch shiny.

I found those fixes probably where you found them, they didn't work. I'm running that program that Adriadnne linked to, thanks for the help guys.
 
For those with problems in Win 8 I have currently working Instacheck on it, I installed Wincap and I run Instacheck. In Shared Connection I have selected Ethernet and then before I start checking I select my ethernet wifi card that is name something like Atheros Ethernet Controller.

When I run InstaCheckHotspot.exe I get the error message "VirtualRouterPlus has stopped working." WinPCap is downloaded. I read through the entire board and couldn't find a solution that works. I'm using Windows Vista and it seems that everyone else who has claimed to have this problem and couldn't fix it is using Vista as well. Has anyone using Vista been able to get this to work?

Try this:
  • Go to Start, Search, and type in services.msc
  • Go down to WLAN Auto Config, double click it to open
  • Under Startup Type, select Automatic
  • Under Service Status, Click the Start button
 
anyone mind checking mine for me? I can allow use of my eevee friend safari to anyone who does, as well as hatch any eggs they have if we have a matching value.
