Alright, ive downloaded WinPCap, deleted intsacheck and re-downloaded it. Its trying to extract it using this programme, which im pretty sure was what my pc used to extract instacheck the last time:

That's 7zip, not WinPCap. :P Did you run the WinPCap installer you downloaded?

So I'm struggling pretty badly with this program because I cannot seem to run it period. I'm on a VISTA Pc and When I click the program it says:

VirtualRouterPlus has stopped working
And when I tried to do step #3 my Command Prompt said:

The following command was not found: netsh wlan set hostednetwork mode=allow.

I went to step 1A and it mentioned my NIC and I did this and I updated all the drivers. It says I have a NIC called Microsoft Tun Miniport Adapter #2 and it says it isn't working properly but when I update it says it is up to date and when I check for solutions it starts to check them the window disappears and nothing happens. If I could get help from anyone that understands what I need to do I'd appreciate the help fully because I want to try to help provide shinies to people. Thank you all so very much!

Sincerely,
~Zidane
Ok, I'm working on the problem with virtual router right now, that is causing the problem that the program won't run.
The second one, on Win Vista/7 it seems it must be mode=allowed , on Win 8(.1) it's just mode=allow

^_^;

I think he's over-complicated it, or mixed it up with the Instacheck. And Instacheck doesn't really need deleted in the first place, since it doesn't install to the computer.

Anyway, thanks all! I'll watch for a release with the Hotspot fully removed, but otherwise, I think I'm good.

So, if you get the Error with something like (file not found) in it, that's the Hotspot, so just use a generic type of HotSpot (I could post my guide for setting up a HomePass for 3DS StreetPass, which this will work perfectly with. Actually, I will. See attached.
It's really just the first part, with numbered instructions. I've left the rest from a past version at the lower part, for my remembering of certain things.

Anyway, if you can get that to work, Instacheck itself will work. Just don't forget WinPCap.

Okay so I am up to the point of where I can start the hotspot on Pokecheck, but when my 3DS tries to test the connection, it says it gets no internet access. My main wifi is enabled to "share" the network for the other connection, but what am I doing wrong?

So I decided to try this on my laptop because I figured it would be easier than on my PC. I seem to have gotten farther and better this way then on my PC. I installed WinPCap and it installed correctly with 0 errors. I went to my command prompt and typed netsh wlan set hostednetwork mode=allow and it worked properly. I started up Instacheck and it booted up properly. I clicked "Start Hotspot" and this is what it said:

The method or operation is not implemented

I clicked Close (the only option available) and another window appeared saying:

Virtual Router Plus could not be started

I followed the instructions and even checked my networks to be sure they were working and they seem to be, so what am I missing?

Does this image imply that both my Usual internet (Wireless Network Connection) and my new Instacheck Miniport (Wireless Network Connection 2) are working? =/

Windows doesn't start an DHCP server on the new connection, so you have to set the IP Address manually, it's also possible if Windows won't let you share the connection, that you have to set the IP Address of the connection manually (IP Address has to be the same as Gateway)
I'll make some pics later, and put them into the help :)

I really need help! I have followed all the steps, downloaded WinPCap and have a wireless card in my Laptop, but why does it keep saying
The group or resource is not in the correct state to perform the requested operation?

Do you have an ethernet/local area connection? It should be your local area connection getting shared, not your wireless one, as just the wireless one doesn't always work for everyone. It should end up looking something like this after you press start hotspot. delete2.png

Is your wireless card enabled? If it isn't, enable it! :P
If it is, go to cmd (run it as administrator), type, netsh wlan set hostednetwork mode=allow

A new version without the virtual router thing should be finished soon, I'm just testing the connections, to be sure that I havn't broken something :)
After that I will upload it, so the Vista users can test it
And are you sure that Win Vista supports the mode=allow ?
Because the command not found thing would be strange then.

I'm positive it does. I think in her case it's related to her not being able to see the "Hosted network suported:" line when she shows drivers.

I'm not sure that it would fix it, but you could update your drivers and (if you like using the my wifi manger) intel my wifi utility (I'm pretty sure it's now intel my wifi dashboard)
Or you could uninstall intel's tool and install just the drivers.

I even tried allowed and it didn't work. :(

I've already updated them several times and it's now up to date :C
Does this do anything? :S These are for your intel thingy
  1. Click Options > Preferences > Hotspot.
  2. Under Internet connection sharing, select check box Automatically share my Internet connection (whenever my device becomes a hotspot) to enable this feature.
  3. Click Save.
