Does anyone have the SV of 3696? I need an egg hatched, please help me out.

Also, my SV is 2000. Wondering if the is a list of SV of members on this site. If so, gimme a link. If not, anyone interested in starting one?
I don't know about Smogon, but I know there's a Facebook group called Pokemon X/Y Instacheck Shiny Value that has a list of people with their SVs.

I have a question! How do you update your contact info on the google doc?
I accidentally mixed up the usernames I had for Smogon and Reddit. [ reddit: xxAqua | smogon: xAqua ]
Wanted to fix it so as to avoid future contact issues.

I had this same issue, deleting all the other network connections and going to instacheck and clicking "start scanning" worked for me. Also, I've heard of selecting "Microsoft - Wireless Network Connection" in the drop down above "start scanning" being helpful for some people. I hope this helps.

Also, does anyone have the SVs of 1610, 2835, or 3245? If so then if you could send me a message that would be great.

Don't really understand what you said. But here's what I got from what you said.

Open Instacheck>Start Hotspot>Start Instacheck>Test Connection in 3DS

or

Open Instacheck>Start Hotspot>Start Instacheck>Start Scanning (Select Microsoft-Wireless Network Connection 1/2)>Test Connection.

I tried both and it still didn't work. The only network connections I have is my LAN,Wireless Connection 1, and Wireless Connection 2 which is the hot spot.

Am I doing it right?

When it's blank like that, Winpcap didn't install correctly. Did you have any errors while installing? If you had any errors about packet.dll or wpcap.dll try this, and then reinstall.
Go to C/D/Whichever drive you use->Windows-> SysWOW64(System32 you're using the 32bit version of windows)-> Find and delete/rename "wpcap.dll" and "packet.dll"
Reinstall WinPCap
Didn't even install it my bad missed that part

When I am using instacheck, I am getting this error:

"Offset and length were out of bounds for the array or count is greater than the number of elements from the index to the end of the source collection"

Instacheck still works, although I don't think it picks up any data while the error box is shown.

I can do the hotspot... i pass the test connection, i can even connect to the internet ingame but when i try to use wonder trading to see if is all working i get an error when searching for someone to trade... anyone know why?

I even got invites for battling and accept it but when it starts communicating I get the same error.

This is very frustrating. I have tried everything I've seen suggested in this thread. I am able to create the hotspot in Instacheck. The 3DS even sees it when looking for a connection. But every time, either in test or from in-game, it cannot connect to the hotspot. I've tried manual and automatic setup of the connection in 3DS settings, restarting the computer, setting up the hotspot manually in a command prompt, and nothing works. Please help if you can. This is what my connections look like: http://imgur.com/MjpEz99

Do you have an ethernet cable that you can use instead of wireless? If so, use that instead of the wireless connection.

No, I am using a laptop that isn't directly connected to the router. Husband's computer (XP) is hooked up to that. Laptop is running 7 and creates hotspot but doesn't let 3DS connect to it. Tried on my own desktop (running 8) and the 3DS connects to it, but not to the Internet from there. I'm starting to think the palette swaps aren't worth the headache, which I am actually getting from all the failed attempts. Really just wanted a faster method of mass IV checking eggs and avoiding trade scammers.

Your laptop's wireless card is likely unable to share your internet while receiving it at the same time. See if you can get it to work when you're directly connected to the router and not using your wireless connection.
On your Windows 8 PC, try disabling the firewall; some people have gotten it to work like that.

I misspoke. W8 PC is in fact connected through LAN, and setting up the connection there worked, or at least passed a connection test. Not optimal as I have to be at PC to use it, but 100% better than not working at all. Thanks for the suggestion!

I was able to connect from the 3DS menu with this hotspot as the only available connection, and it worked there because I was able to add someone and then see that he added me as well, but now the game itself doesn't work with the connection. The Internet icon is glowing, so it knows there's one available. This can NOT be this difficult. Ready to introduce 3DS to wall or hammer.

Anyone up for checking some eggs for me? Unfortunately I can't run instacheck and have around 40 eggs to check thanks in advance

Try restarting the hotspot. For some reason, disconnecting from the hotspot, even momentarily, requires a reset of the hotspot.
