I'm sorry, I'm not sure if this was already talked about.. but I'm getting this error message right when I try to create a hotspot saying
"The group or resource is not in the correct state to perform the requested operation"
Does anyone know how to fix this?

There are many instructions on pages 1-7 on this exact problem, and most people fixed it from trying various things. Personally, I had to go into my device manager and enable my remote network, which wasn't explained on any of those pages, but that could help, too.

I've tried nearly everything, and that was not something that was brought up.

Though I suppose that's not my solution either, unless I'm in the wrong area. Oh well, back to the drawing board.

What system are you running? I am on Windows 8, and from here I just went into control panel > hardware and sounds > and there's a link there that says "Device Manager" > clicking on that will bring you to a list, from there I found Network Adapters, and I right-clicked to make sure everything was enabled. The remote server one wasn't, and I don't know exactly what it's called because it disappeared from my list as soon as I enabled it. That fixed it, though, if that helps anyone else I'll be happy.

Aww. It's such a bummer that we still can't get it working for you. :(
If you go device manager, select the view tab, and show hidden devices, does your miniport adapter still not show up?

I can't get this work so if someone don't mind to check my sv number i will let him check his eggs. I appreciate the help... please!

That solves that mystery at least. Though there are a lot more than there were on my husband's computer.

Time to go poke around and see if anything is disabled.

Phooey. Your Microsoft virtual wifi miniport adapter still doesn't show though. That's the one we need :(
Hrm...

Well, for the point of Science, I decided to try to update those drivers that were hidden before:
1) No updates
2) No updates
3) No updates
4) IKEv2 - "Oh hai we don't recognize this company even though this is something by Windows. Want to do it anyway?" (Yes)
5) IP - See picture
6) IPv6 - See picture
7) L2TP - See picture
8) Network monitor - See picture
9) PPOE - See picture
10) PPTP - See picture
11) SSTP - "Oh hai we don't recognize this company even though this is something by Windows. Want to do it anyway?" (Yes)

Guess I'll go harass google and see if there's anything else to get the Microsoft Virtual wifi miniport adapter to appear.

edit: I see you added more to your post. Going to go try those now.

Ahh, I've tried the first solution already. Though, I suppose it is worth noting I cannot tick "allow this device to wake up the computer" on the wireless card, but not my Ethernet connection.

Second solution seems to be a no go, but I'll try to reboot as I know that just re-installed the drivers.
