"The method or operation is not implemented."
I have allowed the hosted network and checked to see if my laptop is compatible.
I have the latest drivers for all of my netowork doo-dads.
With my PC I get the "The group or resource is not in the correct state to perform the requested operation." error (Again, with everything checked.)

Question on the use of this tool though: If we do hatch eggs and give them back, what's in it for the hatcher? I guess nothing, but I'ma gonna try and reward my hatchers (When I get it working) even if its just a super potion, its something.

Also: I suggest a new post or sticky or whatever dertailing all the solutions, I doubt anyone wants to search through 80+ pages. I gave up on page 13.

Alright, so you right click the instacheck icon that says "application"
Then you click "Run"; a window shoud pop up -make a random network name and put something simple as the password, like "12345678", then "start hotspot"

THEN go to your 3ds and delete all internet connections!! Or at least leave the first spot empty haha ~
then click "search for access point" -find the network that you just named and type the password in !

Then go go into your game (pokemon), click "start instacheck" on your computer, and turn on the wifi on your 3ds ~
after the internet connects (may take a few moments), click "start scanning",
Then you can make a tradr with random people -everytime you show them an egg, its gender, stats, nature, and everything will show on the left hand side of your instacheck window!

As a precaution, before you connect run instacheck, you should type in "cmd" into the search bar of your computer, right click "run as administrator", then type:

netsh wlan set hostednetwork mode=allow

Then everything should be fine !

I am also running with a laptop(no ethernet, just wireless) and I got instacheck to run but my 3DS cant find it. I've done the "netsh wlan set hostednetwork mode =allow. I'm running on Windows 8. Any ideas to what is the problem?

Hmm, I'm getting ready to leave for school, and I don't have a windows 8 laptop in front of my (the ones I use are all windows 7, because 8 confuses me), but I'll do my best !

So, go to where networks is and double click that to expand (I think it should be in the toolbar on the bottom right of your desktop, but you can probably just do a quick search) -if you've set up your hotspot correctly, there should be two networks shown;

The one with the wifi said something like "Wireless Connection 2"

If it's there, and you've done the cmd netsh wlan etc, then I would just suggest you restart your computer and set up hotspot again -if it's not there or comes up as something weird, you should recheck the dropbox on your instacheck, the part above the "start instacheck" button; you could be using the wrong wireless commection, ehich is why your 3ds won't detect it !

Sorry if I'm hazy on some areas, I just woke up and I'm trying to recall my own process without using any guides or whatnot xD
If none of this works, I'll check back when I get home from school ! (that's in like 5 hours though ; A ; and I have early release, too )

Im having the same damn problem. Yesterday my 3DS found the instacheck connection easily, but today no matter how much i try, my 3DS wont show the instacheck connection.

I really want to do this, but there is a problem when trying to connect to the Internet within the game from my 3DS! Well, all the steps I have done well, indeed, my 3DS is connected, but when I open the game and I connect to the Internet, the error appears to me that is why I cannot... Anyone know why that is... And also I want to say that I do it from my laptop, and has a program called: Intel Wi Fi Connection, and when I open the game and I connect to the internet.. hdjksa!! It appears that saying is disabled! Someone help me please!! Thanks in advance!! :)
 
I have thrown together a cross platform program that seems to run fine on Mac/Linux (probably Windows as well), which just runs from the command line and dumps trade information to the console (Just EVs, IVs, and Pokemon Name for now). I haven't yet found how Instacheck is calculating the "Shiny Value" for Trainer/Pokemon, but if anyone has that info I can add it in and release the source code for people on Mac/Linux to compile/run it themselves. It's pretty straightforward.
 
I've put in a request to be added to the google spreadsheet but my info hasn't shown up yet.

My Shiny ID is 1238 and my FC is 0232-8909-1018. I'll gladly help people hatch their eggs and promptly return them.

I also have about 20 Eevee eggs that need hatched. Some are good, some are blegh, but I'd like to hatch them all shiny if possible, and I'll send off some of the so-so Eevee's stat wise in Wonder Trade and make someone's day with it.
