Followed the games on BBC Sport, can't wait for Motd especially the Everton game. Also from the sounds of it Arsenal didn't play that well, and we haven't for a few games now, but the defence has been something else, I can't complain about 1 goal conceded against Liverpool, Utd, Dortmund and Southampton so well done team!

dortmund munich game was much closer than the 3-0 scoreline woudl indicate... to be honest dortmund probably shoudl have won the game, lewandowski got clean volleys from within 10 yards both at 0-0 and 0-1 and missed the frame on both... one because he just overhit it over the net, the other was at least a difficult shot as he needed to get it to the side to beat neuer, but he should have scored the first, and had a good chance to score the second, and its a completely different game if he nets those. very interesting tactical game, with imo the best two tactical coaches in the world at this point doing some odd things against each other, probably most notably playing javi martinez at cam and kroos at cdm in the first half of the game for munich, and then later switching to much more the formation guardiola used at barcelona, with götze playing in a false 9.

LOL at nos whining about suarez being hit

maybe if suarez wasnt the dirtiest fucking player in the world, anyone would take pity on him but alas

also werent you the one who always celebrates suarez's antisportsman antics? you should celebrate this one too!

Good performance, especially by Oscar and Lampard. I was really pleased to see Ramires being deployed on the right flank where he can terrorise defenders with his stamina and pace. Hoping for a draw at the Etihad tomorrow (and a scoring one, to nail me some fantasy points).

If on the tiny chance Varane somehow comes then that is the sad end for Vermaelen :( but I hope Wenger gets a striker.

Also my fantasy team has slowly gone to shit, at least I got Suarez in!

u are incrediby delusional if u believe varane has even the slightest chance of joining arsenal, especially in january. real have literally no reason to sell. benzema is a retarded move as well. you don't want giroud and benzema competing for a spot for both club and country. they will begin to loathe each other and it will not drive them to perform better. take this from a newcastle supporter who witnessed cisse and ba play, basically against each other, for a year

speaking of newcastle, we should have killed the game by 60 mins with a third goal. disappointing how pardew never learns

edit: yea soz maybe a tad aggressive, just see a lot of this from arsenal fans

No I didn't think Varane would move and I don't think getting Benzema would be a good idea either, I don't think I've ever mentioned wanting it or supporting it for exactly the reasons you mentioned.

Why would you want to get anyone in January other than a backup striker for Giroud?
I find it funny that Wenger said that Wilshere best position is a deep-lying midfielder, yet he still plays him in that #10 role and pushes Ozil out wide with little to no freedom.

On Chelsea, Mikel is proving me wrong. He is very solid at what he can do and provides much needed cover that our defense didn't have when lampard tried to play that role. That being said Mourinho's love affair for Lampard needs to stop. The guy is 35 and Chelsea needs to move on. I would love it if we played with Hazard, Oscar and Schurrle behind Eto/torres. It was also nice to see us press the opposing team. Now lets do this against a decent team like Basel and move from there.

Mikel is fine at putting the 'defensive' in 'defensive midfielder' but what troubles me is that he's no Toure; He cannot run at the opposition and create chances or score goals. He fails to provide any kind of attacking threat that Chelsea require when they are struggling to break the opposition down (against Newcastle, for example). Fortunately for us, West Ham struggled to create any chances due to their own striker crisis and didn't defend very well either. That is why I prefer Essien.

I'm so glad we have Giroud, I just love his confidence and composure.

We are truly lucky to have him.

And this guy...

That god damn face.

At least Aguero got a goal and an assist :P Come on Tottenham, fight back for a draw!

spurs cbs just cant deal with aguero and negredo 1v1, and city can force those matchups at will right now, would have liked to see a 3-5-2 a la liverpool this year, which gives the extra cb and might have given us a chance

Lol Tottenham, oh god... There goes the best defence in the league. And Adebayor was obviously an inside agent, Man City paying him to play shit! :D

edit: Also RVP injured but Kagawa still doesn't start! Wow Moyes lol!

Ronney should've been sent off and got a deflection to take the ball over the diving keeper.

Pretty even game atm.

Edit: 1-1 now lol deserved imo.

ALSO how does Cleverley start much less get in the squad for a team like Manu.
