I got that once.i just deleted the instacheck file > restart > extract again > and it showed.I seem to have an issue, i have got everything working I think, connected to the internet using the hotspot on X/Y, then Open Instachecker. However at the dropbox on instachecker, there are no virtual networks to choose from. Can someone give me a tip, or help me out with this issue? Not sure where to start.

A wifi dongle is just a fancy name for those USB adapter you were looking at. Might work, but I think having XP is still an issue. What's a dongle ? and will it for my laptop situation?
I'm from there, I am not there currently. I'm away on business, in a blizzard, in the cold. Did you get connectify running with the standalone?
You can get 1 without adds.Connectify 1.2 with no uptime limit and no ads.I did get it running. No love for Connectify...I might be willing to pay for a program with fewer ads. Sheesh.
When I did a test wonder trade, I was only able to see the data for the pokemon that was being traded to me, not the one I offered. This is common in the stand-alone, right?
A lot of what they need to use the program is either incompatible with XP or finicky to the point it's not even worth it. I told them this already, unless whoever created and tested it is willing to focus more attention on troubleshooting/getting it to work along with XP it's unlikely.A wifi dongle is just a fancy name for those USB adapter you were looking at. "How I get my Instacheck Standalone to "work" if when I stat a scan using the hotspot created by connectify it scans the pokemon that the othe trainer has and shows them on the right side. when I scan using my shared internet (mine is my wireless card) it shows MY pokemon on the right hand side. However, I have to flip flop between scanned connections to be able to see their pokemon then my own."I did get it running. Sometimes it works, sometimes it screws you over. I just give the other viable method of checking both sides from FFZidane just in case.Hmm Both side works now...somehow...
Using - Connectify 1.2 & Standalone
There's so many things to try with DS only errors, you can try asking the IRC dedicated to Instacheck/SV etc for help.
Oops, sorry. I thought I linked it earlier. Apologies.Wheres that chat? can u say where it is? thanks :D
There is no estimation and I can assist you with TSV.hello anyone have an estimate time for the mac version to be released? thanks.
and is there someone who could help me find out my TSV?
Congratulations. I thought needing to have sharing networks was self-explanatory so that was my error, sorry.I just got the Instacheck hotspot working for me. Thank you, How-To-Geek.
Hopefully someone else will find this useful!

I was looking at the wrong sharing settings. General sharing settings, not network-specific. I found this page when looking into how to set up an access point in Windows 8 without a separate program. http://www.howtogeek.com/112050/how-to-turn-your-windows-8-laptop-into-a-wireless-access-point/Congratulations. Ah, well as long as it works for you now everything is fine. Amusingly, your TSV is 2735, the person I just assisted is 2734. Not important, not even noteworthy but it gave me a chuckle.I was looking at the wrong sharing settings. General sharing settings, not network-specific.
