On your trainer card, there's a score that you can apparently raise by doing things in the game and digging up stuff underground. I ask, does your score have anything to do with anything?

Ok my lead is Ambipom and my opponents is Yanmega its fairly predictable that Yanmega will use either Detect or Protect to activate Speed Boost and cancel out the annoying Fake Out. So if I were to use U-turn instead would Ambipom still switch or does it fail completely?

Likewise if I used Baton Pass Ambipom would be able to switch right?

U-Turn fails to do damage AND fails to switch on Protect. You might as well just switch out if you actually intend to do that.

Baton Pass doesn't "hit" the opponent so it doesn't fail if the opponent uses Protect. But why would an Ambipom have Baton Pass anyway?

Nasty Plot baton passer. Quite suprising actually, and its the fastest one which merits it as one of the deadlies BPers in my mind. Nasty Plot BP'd to a Salamance with Choice Specs has got to me deadly even to Blissey.

Oh, then (in that scenario) you would use Nasty Plot on the turn Yanmega uses Protect... that's cool!

I better make a second Ambipom then...

Oh BTW, for whomever was interested in the stats of the Mild Poffin (from weeks ago), here's the stats:
Spicy 60
Dry Bitter Sweet Sour 30
Feel 40

how does the move Double-Edge work?
i heard that the damage it causes is proportional to the damage you give...
is there an estimation on the exact numbers on that?

Jirachi

Uhm.. I'm sure ou guys al know the jirachi set for NB,
body slam
protect
doom desire
wish

I think this could also work in DP, the only difference is that DD is special, so we need a special move that could replace body slam.

I thought of this set:
Nature: timid, modest
Ev's: ???
Moveset:
doom desire
charge beam/thunder
wish
protect

Thunder has a 60% paralysis chance, but charge beam always raises your special attack.

Since I don't want to start a thread about this, could you guys please give your thoughts about this? thx

The old set used Body Slam for paralysis, so I'm pretty sure Thunder is better. Besides, it takes a while to set up with Charge Beam when your opponent can find a counter (since your opponent will know it's a special Jirachi).

Double edge does exactly 1/3 of the damage you did to the enemy as recoil (unless your pkmn has rock head or the enemy has got a sub up)

How does Truant work with flinch? If a Slaking flinches on a turn it doesn't loaf around on, does it still loaf around the next turn or is it able to attack?

In Diamond and Pearl, is there any indicator as to when a pokemon has MAX EVs like there was in R/S/E in the marketplace where the woman gave you an effort Ribbon.
