Hey all I was reading up on IV's and such so I can understand what people want for trades and such and I seriously do not get it. Can someone lay it down slowly for me?

Pokemon have different IVs for each stat, ranging from 0-31. If the IV for a particular stat is 31, then it will have the max stat achievable for that stat before EVs. For each point lesser than 31, the max stat achievable will drop by 1 (iirc) respectively. For example a pokemon with IV 0 in speed will have 31 less speed than another pokemon of the same species with IV 31 in speed

So if a level 100 pokemon with 31 IVs in speed had a stat of 200, then the same pkmn with 30 IVs would have a stat of 199? I didn't know the IVs made such little difference!
 
Oh, okay. So if I want a good pokemon on my team I should look for IV's in the stat's I'm going to train it in? And that is what people mean when they want good IV's? Thanks alot you've helped out alot.

Lol, that's what happens when I'm still on at 3 A.M. I guess that's what the ?????? was in there for.

And yes, when people say they want good IV's, they mean in mainly the most important stats (speed is the most important FYI)

Sure, that may not seem like much, but 1 speed point more is all you need to go first.

That and many things can fall out of 1HKO/2HKO with, say, only a 15 IV in attack.
 
When breeding Pokemon with many level 1 moves, what moves will it get? For example, Aerodactyl has seven moves it learns at level 1, so when it hatches, which would it know? Would I have to use Heart Scales to learn elemental fangs?
 
If I fully EV train my pokemon and get the movesets that I want, if I were to play Wi-Fi level 100 even though my pokes aren't actually level 100, will their stats be the same as if I actually got them to that level?

Can None-Genderless pass on moves when breeding with DItto?

Tutor moves can't be passed on to offspring. Only egg moves and tm's (there are exceptions though, like Beldum learns nothing except Take Down).

I search a lot and I found a guide from a guy called Gold Ursaring and he says that this NYPC poke was distributed only to Fire Red or Leaf Green (because it was Wireless) but as far as i know you can transfer eggs from Fire Red or Leaf Green to emerald/ruby/saphire, so is legal or not?, what do you think?, because if its legal i can clone it before I pal park it

They make a huge difference with Speed. Speed, unlike ATK def etc is set in stone. IE a Max Speed Heracross VS Max Speed Heracross is up to luck, but if your heracross has a 30 and they have 31, your dead.

They're given out as eggs, as far as we know their IVs are random, and the OT/ID/SecretID are that of the person who hatched it.

From page 71. Did anybody here ACTUALLY get an NYPC Pokemon (not traded for), and can they give a 100% correct answer to this? I'm starting to get a little curious.

Finally...someone actually answerd my question, yay but now that I seen this bit of info I have another question, how does one know if someone just hacked the moves onto said "NYPC given" pokemon and send it to the GTS for auction?
