Silly Things You've Seen On The OU Ladder!

More random shit:
-Speed Boost Sharpedo with Aqua Jet. And Bounce.
-A team consisting solely of a Protean Kecleon with Thief (and no item), Protect, Thunder Wave, and Shadow Sneak.
-Some guy who had his Infernape use Overheat... on a Garchomp.
-Dual Screen Starmie.
-A Deoxys-D that apparently didn't realize Crawdaunt was Dark type and used Psyshock on it.
-Quick Claw Togekiss.
-Lum Berry Genesect (I guess it's okay on a Shift Gear set, but that wasn't one).
-Scald Keldeo.
-Cresselia with Psycho Shift, Charge Beam, and a Weakness Policy.
-An Explosion lead Steelix that would have OHKO'ed a Galvantula had it not been sashed.

With the new ranking system, there is a higher chance of encountering stupid shit than ever. I have seen a Metronome team and a guy who thought it was smart to switch his Mega Lucario into an Entei spamming Sacred Fire. Also, the other pokemon he had left was a 6% Thundy that he had just switched out. Did I mention that Thundy was burned and he could have had a clean with Mega Luke if he had waited to revenge?

also I saw one guy using all berries. figy, wiki, mago, aguav and iapapa. I fainted his Dragonite, then he ragequit.

Aqua Jet is useful against Pokes with priority moves, but the rest of that crap is stupid. See, I'm telling you, those Spanish players!

I'm amazed by the amount of people who will set up on Quagsire. Repeatedly. Without even wondering why a +4 Cloyster is only doing 40% to it with Icicle Spear.

Are they not setting up in anticipation of being ready to kill the rest of your team once Quagsire is out of the way? What is Quagsire doing to Cloyster whilst Cloyster is doing 40% damage to Quagsire?

Not much, but Quagsire has Recover, and since Cloyster can't 2HKO it, Quagsire wins. Also, Scald can burn.

Really, Cloyster is just an example. I've seen some set up to +6, lose their mon, send in another, and do exactly the same thing over again.

Random Shit volume 3:
-Flame Body Talonflame with Fly and Flamethrower.
-A mini sweep by Snorlax with Starf Berry, Recycle, and Last Resort.
-Offensive Whimsicott.
-Absorb Bulb Sylveon.
-Someone deliberately using Mienshao, Aerodactyl, and Heliolisk in Trick Room.
-A team consisting entirely of starters, one from each generation. Including Serperior.
-Noctowl. Need I say more? Of course, it can work with enough CMs passed to it and by spamming Echoed Voice, as this guy did.
-A Jirachi that tried to use Thunder Wave on an already poisoned... Donphan.
-More failure to understand what Magic Bounce does. In this case, Whirlwind and Taunt were bounced back.
-This battle: http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/ou-78191497

Dark pulse/Fire blast Gyarados
A Gengar with the moveset of: Hypnosis/Brick break/Body slam/Sludge bomb
Said Gengar using hypnosis on a burned tentacruel

All in the same battle

Aqua Jet on Sharpedo is useful against, let's say, Conkeldurr, as that thing has Mach Punch which will one shot you due to your abysmal defences.

Scald Keldeo isn't that bad, actually.

People need to learn that Steelix is not that good. Even the niche of "Steel suicide lead with Explosion" is done by Metagross/Forretress better. It hurts for me to say this, though, as Steelix is my 3rd favourite Pokemon. It's one Pokemon that should have gotten a Mega, but GF gave it to Blaziken instead....

For Albacore, if you really creative enough to use Special Moves on Talonflame, I think Overheat>Flamethrower as Talon doesn't really use its SpA afterwards.

Also, I Don't Believe This Thing Exists Episode 6 probably will come out today.

Agreed. I use Scald/CM bulky Kedleo and it actually quite good. Scald in general is never "silly". I can't think of a single Pokemon for which it is a stupid thing to use, especially since Surf and Hydro Pump got nerfed.

Point proven. Flamethrower is useless on Talonflame.
