Unless you're putting explosion on it, you don't need attackFor Forrtress; is it necessary to get good atk/spa IVs?

What about SPA?Unless you're putting explosion on it, you don't need attack
Yes, for volt switchWhat about SPA?
What moves are you running on it? It doesn't really matter to be honest, Forretress' main role is to set up hazards, not to inflict high amounts of damage. What about SPA?
That's what I was thinking. I was going to run something likeWhat moves are you running on it? It doesn't really matter to be honest, Forretress' main role is to set up hazards, not to inflict high amounts of damage.
They don't matter that much tbh, but since you're going to be trading them, then I'd get both IV's on them. That's what I was thinking. I was going to run something like
-Stealth rock
-spikes /toxic spikes
-rapid spin
-volt switch
Of course, I'd also like to be able to offer good Forretresses for trade.
Yes.Whether an egg is going to be shiny or not, as well as its IV's are determined when you get the egg from the daycare guy, right?
ly the ivs. Shiny is determined by the shiny valueWhether an egg is going to be shiny or not, as well as its IV's are determined when you get the egg from the daycare guy, right?
IV's are determined as soon as the egg is generated. Shininess meanwhile is determined by the shiny value of the trainer who hatched it, so shininess is determined on hatching.Whether an egg is going to be shiny or not, as well as its IV's are determined when you get the egg from the daycare guy, right?

Okay, thanks! So If I'm trying to hatch a shiny, I could find an egg with the desired IV spread, then keep hatching it until I get a shiny? On

No, if you already have the egg, then it'll already be determined what it's going to turn out like and will never change.Okay, thanks! So If I'm trying to hatch a shiny, I could find an egg with the desired IV spread, then keep hatching it until I get a shiny?
Ah, thanks for the reply. Too bad Instacheck isn't around--500 Gastly eggs and no shiny as of yet.No, if you already have the egg, then it'll already be determined what it's going to turn out like and will never change.
I'm having the same problem with Honedge xD I'm doing MM but nope just 6 IVs Honedges everywhere xDAh, thanks for the reply. Too bad Instacheck isn't around--500 Gastly eggs and no shiny as of yet.
It's been two days and I am dying here DxYou guys have horrible luck. I hatched both of those shinies within a day of each other, with decent IV's too :]
Horrible quality proof on my YouTube channel, haha.
This is karma for me. I was hatching some extra eggs in my PC a few weeks ago, and hatched a shiny Kangaskhan and Shiny Fletchling within seconds of each other. Unfortunately, this Fletching was part of the 20% that didn't inherith the HA. ;_;You guys have horrible luck. I hatched both of those shinies within a day of each other, with decent IV's too :]

Took me nearly a month to get my legit shiny Froakie, hang in there! Only took me about 2,887 or so eggs. It's been two days and I am dying here Dx
Technichally forretress is one of the 6IV must have, since we are playing competetivly and even rapid spin will make a few hp more damage and the same thing for volt switch... but most important is the 0Speed with negativ nature, to assure a volt switch as slow as possibleThat's what I was thinking. I was going to run something like

I'd pass on a 5 IV Gastly to you for better chances, but I no longer have them anymore. You should try your luck on the GTS, I got my Japanese one from there and it had Disable on it, too. This is karma for me. I was hatching some extra eggs in my PC a few weeks ago, and hatched a shiny Kangaskhan and Shiny Fletchling within seconds of each other.
The thing about this Gastly is, I'm afraid it won't have good IV's. I'm breeding a 4IV Japanese Gastly with a 6IV Ditto, and I'm a bit worried it'll come out with 3 IV's or something.
Oh dear god no...Took me nearly a month to get my legit shiny Froakie, hang in there! Only took me about 2,887 or so eggs.
i stopped masudaing for a timburr after 3480 eggsOh dear god no...
In that case I think I'll scrap the idea of using it to trade and just get a good 4IV one that I'll be happy with.Technichally forretress is one of the 6IV must have, since we are playing competetivly and even rapid spin will make a few hp more damage and the same thing for volt switch... but most important is the 0Speed with negativ nature, to assure a volt switch as slow as possible
