So, as no-one looked at my RMT topic, I figured out I can put things here, since people read this topic a lot more. I'm in a huge doubt. I have a tourney in two days, and started well my practice, but recently I'm having problems against Meowstick + Mega Kanga (I play VGC) or any other setup (like Bul Up + Psych Up Mega Mawile).

My team nowadays is Amoonguss, Mawile (Mega), Garchomp, Talonflame, Conkeldurr and Rotom-W.

As I'm having some problems with Rotom-W, I'm thinking about putting Ferrothorn in Talonflame's place, but I'm leaning against, as Amoonguss can take care of it after everything that threatens it is gone.

But as I said, my main problem is with those setups, and my first idea was to use Sableye. Prankster Taunt is quite nice, and it's performing well in Showdown. But I'm not sure. Some people told me it would be good to use a double dragon set, double intimidate, putting Salamence for Intimidating with Mega Mawile and then pairing it up with Garchomp for sheer power. But I'm not sure of it. Another alternative would be to use Liepard, but it's not a prankster. I really think a taunter can solve my problems.

What should I do?
(Just so you know, I know Absol-utely nothing about VGC, I just didn't see anyone replying to you so I wanted to help even if just a little)
Well Sableye with Priority Taunt and Will-O-Wisp deals with pretty much any set-up sweeper once and ruins physical attackers so that sounds good to me.

That's what I thought. And Sableye's also immune to all of Mega Kanga's attacks, but Sucker Punch, and it'll only hit when I try to attack (what I wouldn't try).

My set would be WoW/Foul Play/Recover/Taunt, with a Sitrus Berry to makes it stays on the field a while longer.
Thanks for the answer.

Liepard actually can have Prankster, if I recall correctly.
I really would recommend it, because I'm pretty sure it has the fastest Taunt available in VGC 2014, and that would help you deal with a number of threats other than setup sweepers, such as any Trick Room setter not named Aromatisse.
Don't pair up Mawile and Garchomp, as that would make one of Garchomp's most useful attacks, Earthquake, nearly worthless, as using it would deal heavy damage to its partner. I think Rotom-W would be a good partner for Mawile, as it covers two of its gaping weaknesses (Fire and Ground). Gyarados also could work there, and it has the bonus of being very powerful and packing Intimidate. If you add Gyarados, I'd recommend replacing either Conkeldurr or Garchomp, more likely Conkeldurr as Garchomp could switch in for Gyarados to take Electric-type attacks aimed at it.

So, in summary...
Add a Prankster Liepard with Taunt to take on opponents who use status moves, probably replacing Garchomp, Talonflame, or Conkeldurr.
Add something like Gyarados as a sweeping partner for Mawile, most likely replacing Conkeldurr.

Be cautious of Scrappy Fake Out.

Ok, thanks a lot.

So, next step. Does anyone have a good IVs/competitive nature Purrloin and Magikarp to give? If the Magikarp had Dragon Dance, would be nice, but not obligatory, since I have some Pokémon that can breed it into this nice thing.

You're awesome, smogoners!

I've just noticed I made a mistake. My mega is not mawile, it's manectric.

I have a Safari with Gyarados if you have no access to one yourself. If you had an Adamant/Jolly (whichever you wanted) synchronizer that would help as well but if not it may just take a bit.

I feel like that could still work with Gyarados for double intimidate but I dunno :/

Thanks, I've just discovered I have a Safari with Gyarados. I just need the Prankster Purrloin/Liepard. You're awesome, though.

When your breeding how do you make the pokemon like each other. Ive been breeding for the last 2 days and not one set has liked each other. Currently im running marill and azumarill and they still dont like each other

Looking for a Magikarp with a 31/31/31/x/31/31 IV distribution that is from a region that is not the US. Can be male or female. I'm going to use it to breed a shiny Magikarp.

If they don't like each other, that's ok. The thing's when they prefer to play with other Pokémon. If they're the same species and OT, or diferent species and diffetent OT, they'll like each other. If they're the same species and different OT, they'll love each other.

If that's the case do you have an few extra dittos with IV's I'll trade you mine that way we both win

I could give you a 4 iv timid prankster purrloin to help out. Not particularly looking for anything in return, but an item like pp up would be nice

Either way, Gyarados would still be a pretty good partner for it, as it's immune to its only weakness and can fight many of the things that threaten it. However, if you want to run Discharge, you could pair it up with a Ground-type or something like Jolteon that benefits from getting hit by an Electric attack.

Don't run Discharge. Volt Switch/Overheat/Protect/HP Ice
