GTS Cloning Trick

I have a success rate of over 90% now, just need to watch the router Wireless and Internet LEDs, and make sure no other devices are utilizing the wireless or internet.

Ive cloned some things like evolutionary items and certain Pokemon, but my Rare Candies are all from PickUp.

It's terribly inefficient to clone Rare Candies anyways when you can just mass import them from Emerald (assuming you have more than one GBA cartridge, of course).
 
Well, I simply turned off my firewall, and now, all the pokémons I want to be cloned are transferred after exactly 8.1 revolutions. Does it work with somebody else here?
EDIT: Forget it, it isn't working anymore. Damnit.
 
When cloning pokemon via GTS I find its like a guessing game. counting those revolutions.....you can never really be sure whether you've been successful or not.

it also depends on my router. for some reason i have much greater success cloning during the day than at night. Go figure.
 
I couldn't count the rotations, so I just used a stopwatch. For me, it takes 15 seconds, so I turned the DS off at 13 seconds, and it worked! My file was corrupted! I'm trying to retrieve my Shinx right now.

EDIT: I still have some figuring out to do I get blue screens, but no clones.

How skanky would that be? I don't even know how to hack, nor do I wanna know, but it just takes one crooked mind for this...

I'm pretty sure Level 9 mews would be 'banned' from the GTS...right?
 
I just got an ridiculous bug...
I tried to clone.
Everything went just fine.

After turning on my DS, I looked in my Team:
Yes, my Charmander is still there. Seems I did it.
I connect to GTS... And I see! "Summary"
Seems it worked!!
I click: Summary... And now guess...
A Plusle came out... I don't even asked for a Plusle or something lol...
 
Okay, I know this has been addressed a few times in this thread, but I just want to make sure it's still relevant now so I don't get shafted trying to clone things. If I put up a Pokemon onto GTS and attempt to clone and ask for Shyamin or Arceus (or Darkrai until that event happens) I'm ensured to not lose my Pokemon in a trade/some weird glitch right? (Someone also told me I get banned from WiFi fro requesting these guys..Uhhh??)

Also asking for lower-leveled than possible legendary Pokemon like a Level 9 Uxie would allow me to have the same sort of worry-free cloning right? Are there any other ways to ensure safe cloning? Obviously I don't want to lose some of my more valuable Pokemon... Thanks.

Yeah, Arceus and Shaymin cannot be traded on the GTS. I'm unsure about Darkrai though, as LEGIT ones are out there so I'd assume the movie event has happened in Japan. It came at level 50 though, so asking for it level 9 and under should still be safe.

And yeah, under-leveled legends cannot be offered on a Pokemon, so your safe.
 
I'm seeing so many Level 9 and under Mews. Damn I wish the TRU event had given out L9 Mews (instead of L10), so I could swipe a few Palkias for myself.

That's why people ask for L9 instead of L10, because L10 is the lowest you can get one that's legit. If TRU gave out L9, people would ask for L8.

I have yet to even come close to successfully cloning with the Nintendo Wi-Fi connector. You can't watch the blinking light, as it just blinks at equal intervals at all times anyway, and even if I sit in the same spot and try over and over again the rotations needed to put the Pokemon up for trade differ radically.

Must just be the damn thing.
 
I've cloned so many times with the Wifi I've lost count. Once you do it your first time it becomes easier after that.
 
The last 2 times I cloned pokemon via GTS I received communication erros when going to retrieve the clones. Has this been happening to anyone else? I was able to get them though after logging back in.
 
Woo, I just cloned my first two pokes!

I had a hard time turning the DS off fast enough when I saw the WLAN light blink (if your save was not corrupted, you were too slow). It got easier for me when I started counting beats to the music (I'd start on the 1 of a 1-2-3-4 and get ready to turn it off around 12 or 13).
