Oh, I don't know if you saw my earlier post, but that Jirachi you wanted to trade me for, it's built for the Offensive/Scarf set (arguably Rachi's best set this Gen), and doesn't have Rocks. :[
10? I am having 50 waiting for ev's, 20 to level. That is gonna take a while, so dont save up a bunch before you train them is a handy advice from my side :-P

Regular Alakazam >>> Mega Alakazam. Mega Alakazam's speed is overkill, and it loses one of the best abilities in the game: Magic Guard. Plus, it can't hold a sash/LO, and is still pretty frail, so it's easily revenge killed with priority. I really love Mega Alakazam, but I can't justify his use. And Chansey, meet my friend Knock Off. Knock Off, Chansey. :]

It's generally agreed upon, yeah. I know how you feel, Mega Alakazam looks awesome in all his spoon juggling, old wiseman greatness.
Also, I believe mega Alakazam is as powerful as life orb Alakazam, and since it won't be living many hits the recoil doesn't matter.
Also: anyone else find mega Alakazam butt ugly?

I'm sorry, it's just Chansey is the bane of my existence, and Mega Alakazam can't live up to OG Alakazam's glory. I call it like I see it. :P
Yeah, with Knock Off running rampant this Gen, I find Blissey to be a tad better, but it's really a choice between a possible liability, or base 10 Defense. Hey, base 10 is still double Chansey's! :D
