I'm new to competitive battling, but I came up with this OU Offensive team.
Smeargle (Lionardo) @ Focus sash
Ability: Own Tempo
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Spikes
- Spore
- Stealth Rock
- Memento
My lead. Focus Sash allows it to at least put on Stealth Rock. Spore for putting opponent to sleep, and then putting Spikes tp ground. Memento for countering Sweepers.
Medicham (Amazon) @ Medichamite
Ability: Pure Power
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Nature: Jolly
- High Jump Kick
- Substitute
- Psycho Cut
- Ice Punch
With a obscene attacking stat after Pure Power, passable bulk, a fantastic STAB move, and good speed MegaMedicham is no joke. With fantastic attack and STAB in Hi Jump Kick along with 100 base speed, there will be switch-outs, and this is when the substitute comes in. Instead of Hi Jump Kick outright and risking hitting something that I don’t want to hit, such as a ghost type, a sub allows you to ease prediction and force the opponent to take my very best attack while breaking the sub, or switch to something else while I retain my substitute advantage.
Then my two sweepers:
Volcarona (GiantBug) @ Life Orb
Ability: Flame Body
Evs: 4 Def / 252 Sp. Atk / 252 Spe
Nature: Modest
- Quiver Dance
- Bug Buzz
- Fiery Dance
- Roost
My Special Sweeper. 85 base HP is remarkably good, and with heavy defensive investment and Roost, Volcarona can buy itself plenty of time to boost up and blaze through the opposing team. While Volcarona is still susceptible to burst damage from offensive teams, defensive investment and Roost allows it to outlast a number of more defensive checks, and with enough Quiver Dances, Volcarona has the power to blow through pretty much everything.
Salamence (TheMonster) @ Choise Scarf
Ability: Moxie
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Spe. Atk / 252 Spe
Nature: Naive (Naive dragon, hehe)
- Stone Edge
- Outrage
- Earthquake
- Hydro Pump
My Physical Sweeper. By utilizing Choice Scarf in tandem with Moxie, Salamence becomes both a great revenge killer and a deadly sweeper. Outrage already hits hard, but add some Moxie boosts and you've got a real some real power. Earthquake provides Salamence with coverage against Heatran and Jirachi; additionally, Earthquake hits Tyranitar hard without resorting to Outrage. In the last slot, Fire Blast is used to prevent Skarmory, Forretress, and Ferrothorn from doing anything.
And the last two:
Excadrill (Digg) @ Leftovers
Ability: Sand Force
Evs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Nature: Jolly
- Rapid Spinner
- Earthquake
- Swords Dance
- Rock Slide
Fast Excadrill is pretty good Rapid Spinner, with almost quarantee hit. And with Rock Slide, he is also counter for Talonflame.
Azumarill (Jane) @ Choise Band
Ability: Huge Power
Evs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 Spe
Nature: Adamant
- Waterfall
- Aqua Jet
- Superpower
- Double-Edge
My counter for Fire types. With a Choice Band equipped and its Huge Power ability, Azumarill boasts 654 Attack stat, which allows it to effectively break through many UU walls. Waterfall is Azumarill's most powerful STAB move, and Pokemon who do not resist it are either OHKOed or heavily damaged. Aqua Jet enables it to act as a revenge killer as well. Also counter for Talonflame.
So thanks for coming trough it, I really appreciate that. If you have any improvements for my team, please tell them :)
