Balanced Aggression

The Team:
greninja.gif

Role: Special Sweeper/Revenge Killer
Greninja @ Expert Belt
Ability: Protean
EVs: 252 Spd / 252 SAtk / 4 HP
Timid Nature
- Surf
- Ice Beam
- Hidden Power [Fire]
- Extrasensory

Greninja acts as my main special attacker, however with his speed I often use it as a revenge killer as well. The moves I have chosen are pretty important to its success. Surf is perfect for heatran and normally my go-to move when I am in a tight spot. Ice beam offers great coverage and is perfect for dealing with The annoying gliscor,Dragons and it even 2hko's mandibuzz which is another bonus. HP Fire is a backup fire move to deal with ferrothorn and Scizor mainly in the event of charizard being dead. Extrasensory is on the set because I have issues dealing with conkeldurr.

excadrill.gif

Role: Spinner/Utility
Excadrill @ Air Balloon
Ability: Mold Breaker
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 Spd / 4 Def
Adamant Nature
- Rapid Spin
- Earthquake
- Iron Head
- Stealth Rock

Pretty standard Excadrill set. I needed a spinner and also a stealth rocks user and it was the first that came to mind. Have been considering replacing it because it does not seem particularly useful on my team except for dealing with fairies if it is still alive. Rapid spin is here so that don't have to remove my own rocks. Speed investment to use rapid spin successfully more often.

breloom.gif

Role: Revenge Killer
Breloom @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Technician
EVs: 252 Spd / 252 Atk / 4 HP
Jolly Nature
- Power-Up Punch
- Bullet Seed
- Rock Tomb
- Mach Punch

Probably the least useful pokemon on my team. A dedicated revenge killer however speed is still a bit of an issue. Bullet seed is very handy for dealing with rotom-wash's which seem to be in almost every team these days. Rock tomb provides a speed drop for enemies who are possibly faster than my team. Power up Punch for Technician boost and mach punch for priority.

sylveon.gif

Role: Cleric/Wall
Sylveon @ Leftovers
Ability: Pixilate
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SAtk / 252 Def
Bold Nature
- Heal Bell
- Wish
- Hyper Voice
- Protect

Sylveon is my mixed wall and cleric. Very standard set but it does it's job extremely well. Heal bell for status removals, burns in particular. Wish for either passing on health or keeping it and protect goes hand in hand with wish to guarantee the health boost if i'm using it for sylveon. Hyper voice Is a great stab move and also prevent it from becoming useless through taunt.

mandibuzz.gif

Role: Wall/Utility
Mandibuzz @ Leftovers
Ability: Overcoat
EVs: 252 Def / 252 HP / 4 Atk
Impish Nature
- Roost
- Foul Play
- Taunt
- Defog

Mandibuzz is my second mixed wall essentially. Roost for Regen, Foul play is effective against most physical sweepers. Taunt stops most set up pokemon effectively due to mandibuzz's somewhat decent speed. Defog is for hazard removal which is essential with charizard on the team. Generally hard to choose the best four moves to use with this pokemon as there are too many useful moves available for Mandibuzz. These are the moves I use at the minute but there were alternative moves I find useful that are unfortunately not on the set due to only having four slots.

charizard-megax.gif

Role: Physical Sweeper
Charizard @ Charizardite X
Ability: Blaze
EVs: 252 Spd / 252 Atk / 4 Def
Adamant Nature
- Dragon Dance
- Dragon Claw
- Flare Blitz
- Earthquake

My main sweeper,Standard DDance set not really much else to say. Two stabbed moves, went with dragon claw so I had a stab option that doesn't give recoil. Earthquake deals with Heatran and a few other pokemon if I don't have the health for flare blitz. 4 Def EV's so that stealth rocks does 49% damage instead of 50.

Trouble Pokemon:
Mega-Heracross
Talonflame
Conkeldurr
Bulky stall teams.

Thank You for taking a look at my team and any Suggestions would be very much welcome :)

I have to say nicely balanced team, title does not lie.

1st off: You didn't mention your "starting pokemon" im only guessing it would be one of your walls or utilities.
2nd: I personally dont see the need for two walls, Mandibuzz doesn't seem needed when you have a spinner like Excadrill. Maybe change it for another special sweeper or possibly a prankster?
3rd: I always add this to people using ZardX, but maybe look into using roost over EQ or thunderpunch, which can be very useful in your case because i don't see too much you could do if there was a mono water or Mega-Gyarados, because lets face it gyarado will probably survive that bullet seed and or outspeed.

Other than that i see this team kicking some butt in OU (:

Thanks for your feedback, In terms of starter pokemon I tend to use Excadrill unless I see a certain pokemon which is normally a lead such as Rotom-wash and Smeargles. The only reason I use two walls is because generally Excadrill/Greninja and Breloom are rather frail. So I use mandibuzz to sponge some damage earlier on and weaken opponents I can't one hit kill. And roost has always been a tough choice for me as It is very useful but I find it very hard to predict when to use it. I may give it another go though so thank-you for your feedback :D
