Okay, so, I am working on a competitive team built around my favorite battle type, stall. This is more or less a rough draft that I'm constantly improving on and at this point I'm starting to get comfortable with it. Please let me know what you think.
Shiny Carbink
Nature: Impish
Ability: Sturdy
Item: Light Clay
IVs: Straight 6
EVs: 252 HP, 252 Def, 4 Atk
Moves:
Light Screen
Reflect
Stealth Rock
Explosion
Carbink was something I aimed to use from the second I saw him. His capabilities as a dual screener with the addition of Stealth Rock are admirable and his defense stat is beyond ridiculous. Initially I ran toxic as the fourth move but he's such a pain to kill for most aggro teams that my dual screens would often go to waste at that point so I blow him up to make the most use of them.
Shiny Cloyster
Nature: Jolly
Ability: Skill Link
Item: King's Rock
IVs: Straight 6
EVs: 252 Atk, 252 Spd, 4 HP
Moves:
Icicle Spear
Rock Blast
Ice Shard
Shell Smash
Cloyster pretty much destroys anything he outspeeds as far as I've seen. Stuff like Cresselia walls him off pretty hard but people who use legends are generally awful to begin with. Icicle Spear after a Shell Smash seems generally unfair.
Shiny Trevenant
Nature: Impish
Ability: Harvest
Item: Sitrus Berry
IVs: Straight 6
EVs: 252 HP, 252 Def, 4 Atk
Moves:
Will-O-Wisp
Substitute
Horn Leech
Leech Seed
Trevenant has likely done more work than any pokemon on the team. It's shocking how many teams just don't have an answer for him. He's a wall who gains life faster than most can take it down without ever having to use a pure recover move. What's not to love?
Shiny Gliscor
Nature: Impish
Ability: Poison Heal
Item: Toxic Orb
IVs: Straight 6
EVs: 252 HP, 92 Def, 166 Spd
Moves:
Toxic
Protect
Substitute
Earthquake
If you don't know how obnoxious this guy can be once the often token water/ice pokemon is taken down you may be newer than me. Toxic Orb prevents several status effects on a highly defensive pokemon and gains much more life than leftovers. Toss in above average speed and you have a pokemon that essentially exists to annoy.
Shiny Sableye
Nature: Careful
Ability: Prankster
Item: Leftovers
IVs: -Sp
EVs: 252 HP, 252 SpD, 4 Atk
Moves:
Confuse Ray
Knock Off
Recover
Will-O-Wisp
I see several versions of this running foul play as opposed to knock off which is a good move but isn't the name of the game. If I take out one Leftovers or Quick Claw in a match then the trade off in power is more than enough. I was honestly impressed with this pokemon. Despite great type coverage I never realized he could be this big a powerhouse.
Shiny Aegislash
Nature: Adamant
Ability: Stance Change
Item: Weakness Policy
IVs: Straight 6
EVs: 252 HP, 252 Atk, 4 SpD
Moves:
Shadow Sneak
Swords Dance
King's Shield
Sacred Sword
My other Sweeper, he generally just cleans up the stragglers at the end. It's amazing how often someone runs an earthquake into him while I'm Swords Dancing and turns him into a pokemon to be reckoned with. Definitely one of the easiest and most satisfying pokemon to play this gen.
My other choices: These are several other 5-6 IV shinies that I could place in the team should the need arise. If anyone has suggestions, let me know.
Shiny Dragonite 5 IV Adamant Multiscale
Shiny Talonflame 5 IV Adamant Gale Wings
Shiny Goodra 6 IV Modest Gooey
Shiny Umbreon 6 IV Calm Synchronize
Shiny Smeargle 5 IV Timid Technician
Shiny Froakie 5 IV Timid Protean
Shiny Klefki 6 IV Bold Prankster
Shiny Rotom 5 IV Modest Levitate
Shiny Carbink
Nature: Impish
Ability: Sturdy
Item: Light Clay
IVs: Straight 6
EVs: 252 HP, 252 Def, 4 Atk
Moves:
