It seems to me that a lot of these new propositions have 2 main flaws- they are annoyingly complicated ways to ban whatever is bothering people, and they're based on TCG rules. So I present a tier reshuffle that passes both qualifications:
Merge BL into OU.
That's it. BL is just OU pokes who are currently unpopular, right? Bringing them to OU proper would boost their usage somewhat, expand the metagame, and eliminate the silly faux BL tier. I'm not trying to address the problem of ubering here, this is just a simplification fix. IMO all we need are fewer, larger tiers, and they will balance themselves more easily because of more available counters.
Eh? Wonderful? Junk? I think we do need a reorganized tier set for D/P, so we need to have as many suggestions as possible to find a good one.
 
BL is just a faux tier of pokemon too powerful for UU, and thus moving them 'up' to OU will do nothing helpful for their usage unless someone comes up with a revolutionary strategy. I thought that was agreed upon and understood ages ago...
 
We should have, fan made tiers.

For about a week, we put on every Thing worth useing on a list, and Each person add on to the list. They we see what's wrong with it, and fine tune it thru discussion. It should work for a while, and since it was Fan made, people cannot Whin about it being wrong, or where somthing should be. And also since it's Fan made, Mods don't have to work on it too much, because I propose we can change it at any time we want.


But the main rule is :BACK UP WANT YOU SAY
 
BL should have its own tier, not a faux tier. BL-Only is actually pretty fun. Less aggressive as UU where its hit-till-yer-die, more aggressive as OU where its lets-all-use-blissey.
 
God. Ubers, OU, BL, UU, NU. 5 tiers. That isn't too many for a game with 493 (271 fully evolved) Pokemon.

the problem is that there can't be a perfectly balanced pokemon generation where there are five tiers with none of them being faux tiers. That's exactly what BL is and what I think it should stay as. I think UU and OU should be the only 2 metagames at first, and then when we have a list of what's NU and BL (probably not for a year or so), we can start having battles within that tier.
I believe that there should be 5 tiers just to differentiate Metagross from something like Entei (or any other BL). There really is no reason to combine BL and OU. They already are combined in a way, but split up to make everything look neater and to show the OUs that do need to be countered, instead of something like Entei, which can be beat by almost any OU team.
