Shiny Charm and Masuda Method

I am not really a part of this, but I have a few questions and I'm hoping someone can help. I have been trying to mm a shiny plusle. I have a jap ditto, and English plusle, and have hatched over 2000 eggs (I lost count at around 1600 but I've filled plenty of boxes since)

Is there any suggestions to what I am doing wrong, or do I just have really bad luck? I do have the shiny charm as well

Here is a reference to a previous post of mine.

"The thing is, what people don't get is, this is Probability. Every single egg people hatch has 1/4 of a percent chance of being shiny. That's .25 %. People see the 1/456 and think that means that 1 of 456 eggs will be shiny. This is wrong. What it actually means is, for every chance there is for your egg to be shiny there are 455 chances that it will not be. You can have great luck and hatch 3 shinys in a row or you can have a streak of bad luck and get 2000 eggs with no shiny. As long as you keep trying, you will EVENTUALLY get a shiny."

Streaks of bad luck is all I seem to get :p even with the shiny charm I have trouble getting shinies from 100+ fishing chains haha. It's getting tiring hatching all these eggs with no results. I'm probably going to have to take a break from hatching, or at least try hatching something else for a while

Ok I looked at the old document and got your last total from there and added the 48 eggs and 1 shiny. If that's alright. I didn't copy everyone's names down from the last spreadsheet because I wasn't sure of who was still hatching or which were trolls so I add as I'm alerted to updates. i made an account real quick to contribute. ive got 270 eggs with no shinies yet! (jap. noivern and eng. ditto). This is my first time trying this so im planning to continue and will post final results here :)

Updated :/ major shiny drought. What are you trying to breed?
 
Quick update! Hatched my 4th shiny on my 1319th egg out of 1320 so far (pledged 2000).

So far these have been the results of breeding an ITA Male Meditite with an ENG Female Meditite.

Shiny #1: 500/1320
Shiny #2: 538/1320
Shiny #3: 587/1320
Shiny #4: 1319/1320

Still no 5 perfect IV's on any of them. Really hope I hatch the right one before my 2000th egg so I can move on to hatching other shinies.
 
I have a question for you guys. Do you breed 100 eggs then hatch them and if there's no shiny do you just turn off the game and re hatch them? Or do you release them then breed another 100 and repeat the process?

I have been breeding hatching then rebreeding them.

I am currently on batch 5. I hatched 1 shiny at egg #119. I'm willing to hatch 1000

I believe the contents of your egg are permanent once you receive it from the Day Care Man. So turning off the game and rehatching will give you the same results.

They are permanent. If you want to soft reset then you have to save before you get the 1st egg. Collect all the eggs then hatch then and if none are shiny, soft reset but you'd need to collect all the eggs again

Just updated, had class all day today. 100 eggs left, but I might continue after I'm done. Spring break!

I did eventually. I figured I spent all that time trying for one and not getting it, that pokechecking one for myself that I wasn't going to trade was justified. If I hadn't already did the work though I would not have pokechecked.

Batch 2: 1 Shiny #119 (switched to scatterbug at 130)
Batch 3: 0 shinies
Batch 4: 0 shinies
Batch 5: 0 shinies
Batch 6: 0 shinies
Batch 7: 0 shinies
Batch 8: 0 shinies
Batch 9: 0 shinies
Batch 10: 1 shiny #925 (fletchling w/gale wings)
Batch 11: 0 shinies
Batch 12: 0 Shinies
Batch 13: 2 Shinies #1287 and #1294

Is an exact pledge necessary? I just got the shiny charm so I'm in the mood to try for some more MMing (I have only successfully gotten one shiny--Honedge--this way, before I got the charm, tried for some others but no luck). The reason I ask is I have a LOT of potential shinies that I want to MM, so I'll probably keep going indefinitely, switching species whenever I land a shiny. I guess I can promise at least 1000.

Hatched 60 Eevee eggs today, 0 shinies so far. (one english parent, one Japanese)

(Also, I'd like to add that I bred 11 boxes of Eevees with no luck before I got the charm, if anyone is interested in my suffering ;_; so technically I started this on my 12th box, but obviously that doesn't help the shiny charm+MMing research)

My results were on the original spreadsheet, not sure if they've made it to the new one.
I've hatched 1380 eggs so far with 1 shiny,a Sigalyph with the hidden ability. Currently trying for another with magic guard.
