My Newest UU Team

Same as the last team I posted, this team is pretty consistent as far as winning battles is concerned.
Although it isn't the best team I've made, it's still a fairly good one.

Aggron @ Aggronite
Ability: Sturdy
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 Spd
Impish Nature
- Heavy Slam
- Stealth Rock
- Earthquake
- Thunder Wave

I only ever lead with Aggron if my opponent doesn't have any pokemon that could potentially set-up on me and sweep my team or Baton Pass into something that could (Looking at you Ninjask). I don't like to reveal that Aggron is my mega straight away, as I am able to play around anything my opponent might want to do as counters to potential Mega Pokémon, either way this is just a standard Mega Aggron set, so nothing special.

Rotom-Heat @ Choice Specs
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 SAtk / 252 HP / 4 SDef
Modest Nature
- Volt Switch
- Hidden Power [Grass]
- Overheat
- Trick

My optional lead, Rotom-Heat. Again, a standard set. If my opponent has something that set's up, I like to start off with this, I can go for a Specs Volt Switch, do some good damage and get out of there to go into something to finish the job if it hasn't already been finished. Alternatively, I bring this in on a physical attacker and Trick my Specs onto them as they would gain no advantage from them, if anything they would be at a disadvantage if, for example, they were an Expert Belt Arcanine.

Florges (F) @ Leftovers
Ability: Flower Veil
EVs: 252 SDef / 252 HP / 4 SAtk
Calm Nature
- Aromatherapy
- Moonblast
- Toxic
- Wish

My Special wall, Florges. I have considered running Protect over Toxic, but by using toxic on a crucial Pokémon on their team, they then have to Heal Bell/Aromatherapy to get rid of it, effectively using up a turn which gives me more momentum in the battle. This is a bit of a recurring theme with this team, but again it's a standard set, also the Dragon/Dark/Fighting coverage is great considering I have no other covers for those types.

Chesnaught @ Leftovers
Ability: Bulletproof
EVs: 252 Def / 252 HP / 4 Atk
Impish Nature
- Leech Seed
- Spikes
- Spiky Shield
- Hammer Arm

Chesnaught is kind of "just there" to fill up my core. Physically defensive set. I run Bulletproof instead of Overgrow as I have no Grass type moves to take advantage of it (plus I like the Sludge Bomb immunity). If anyone has a better Pokémon or set for this thing then I would be more than happy to change it.

Absol @ Scope Lens
Ability: Super Luck
EVs: 252 Spd / 252 Atk / 4 SDef
Adamant Nature
- Night Slash
- Psycho Cut
- Superpower
- Sucker Punch

Before I say anything, all credit goes to Blame Truth for this set. The combination of Super Luck, Scope Lens and the high Crit Hit ratio of both Night Slash and Psycho Cut, you are Guaranteed to get a crit with them, the others just have a high chance. This is the perfect set against Pokémon that like to set-up their defense. This became apparent to me after I ran into a Snorlax spamming Curse, and because Crit Hits ignore stat changes, Snorlax went down as if it never even had Curse.

Seaking @ Life Orb
Ability: Lightningrod
EVs: 252 SAtk / 252 HP / 4 SDef
Modest Nature
- Surf
- Blizzard
- Hidden Power [Electric]
- Signal Beam

My "sweeper". With this i am able to bait the T-bolt or Volt Switch from a Jolteon or Rotom and get +1 on my Special Attack. I am fully aware of Seaking's Sub-par Special Attack stat, but I wanted to use a set that took full advantage of Lightningrod. So this is what I came up with, because it's defenses aren't that good either, I run Surf over Hydro Pump because Hydro Pump seems to miss a lot, making it unreliable against strong opponents. The rest of the moves are just for coverage.

That's the team, if you could give me any replacements for Chesnaught then I would be grateful. Other than that, let me know what you think of the team and if there are any improvements that can be made.
Keep in mind that I built this team around Lightningrod Seaking, so I might not be so willing to change that.

Hey there, I got your request!

Mega Aggron should never go fully physically defensive, because even if it invests in its special bulk or attack, it will still have the Defense to take on everything it would take on being fully physically defensive. And since you're aiming for a more defensive set, I would recommend a spread of 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 SpD, as with this, Mega Aggron can wall a huge amount of the special metagame as well.

Now because Rotom-H is more of an offensive Pokemon, I would recommend it has the simple EV spread of 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe with a Modest nature to outspeed a ton of stuff it couldn't before and blast them before they even touch you. For example, you can now outspeed Crawdaunt and OHKO it with Volt Switch before it can OHKO you with Crabhammer (Aqua Jet doesn't OHKO from a LO variant too!).

Much like Mega Aggron should invest in special bulk, Florges should invest in physical bulk. This is because its excellent Fairy typing lets it take on vast majority of the physical metagame. Furthermore, many Pokemon that Florges would otherwise wall are carrying Psyshock, like Latias. This is why I would recommend investing at least 80 Def EVs. This lets you avoid the 2HKO from 252 Latias's Psyshock after Stealth Rock, letting you effectively 2HKO it with Moonblast.

Honestly, Chesnaught is a really weird Pokemon on your team right now. Mostly everything that it does it covered by another Pokemon on your team. However, since you still would want Spikes, I recommend an offensive variant of Roserade. Here is the set:

roserade.gif

Roserade @ Life Orb | Technician
4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe | Timid
Spikes | Leaf Storm / Giga Drain | Sludge Bomb | Hidden Power Fire

The choice of STAB is your personal preference of a nuke and then switch out, or hit moderately hard while staying consistent and recovering HP. Roserade has the strongest Hidden Power in the tier thanks to Technician, and it makes great use of it by plowing past Pokemon that would otherwise be hard checks, like Escavalier and Metagross.

Lastly, Seaking is a horrible Pokemon in this metagame (and pretty much every metagame :(), and while Lightningrod is nice, it hits pathetically without a boost (and sometimes even with a boost) thanks to its abysmal base 65 Special Attack. This is why I would highly recommend using literally any other good sweeper you want. Since you're kinda going for a FWG core, I would recommend SubCM Keldeo, since it also checks Crawdaunt, who is otherwise a huge threat to your team atm. Here is the set:

keldeo-resolute.gif

Keldeo @ Leftovers / Salac Berry | Justified
144 HP / 172 SpA / 192 Spe | Timid
Substitute | Calm Mind | Scald | Secret Sword

The HP EVs are enough to avoid the 2HKO from 252 LO Crawdaunt while the Speed + Timid nature lets you outpace positive-natured base 100s. The rest is thrown into Special Attack for higher damage output. These aren't the best EVs, so feel free to use whatever you come up with too, since I'm not that great with EV spreads :P

Anyway, that's all for now! I hope I helped and good luck with your team ProjectShadow ^.^

As I said in the team, Chesnaught was just there, so thanks for the Roserade set. And I'm a bit reluctant to change Seaking as I wanted to build a team with Seaking as the main sweeper, but after I had a few more battles with this team trying to utilize Seaking as much as possible, I found that it didn't do too well as no one really used electric types very often, so Keldeo will replace Seaking. Also thanks for the recommendations with EV spreads.

Unfortunately Keldeo is now an OU tier Pokémon, are there any other recommendations for a water type?

Hi there. Since you are looking for a water type, I would use a physical water sweeper, as your team is fairly special-based. You have a choice of Azumarill, Feraligatr, and Cloyster, but I would recommend Feraligatr if you want to set up D-dances, Azumarill if you want to go fully offensive, and Cloyster if you're feeling ballsy. In general, I like Feraligatr better. Try this set:

Feraligatr @ Life Orb l Torrent
252 Atk / 252 Speed / 4 HP l Jolly/Adamant
Dragon Dance l Aqua Jet l Earthquake l Ice Punch

Attack and Speed for maximum effect of D-Dance, and to outspeed even the fastest Pokemon Aqua Jet for priority (Good against Scarfers and other boosted Pokemon) Earthquake for Electric types, and Ice Punch for Grass types, as well as those ever-pesky Dragon types.
