XOXO (Metagross) @ Occa Berry
Ability: Clear Body
EVs: 96 Atk / 252 HP / 160 SDef
Adamant Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Meteor Mash
- Bullet Punch
- Earthquake

-------------------------------------
Role: Lead/Starter Pokemon/Lead Killer
It has a simple role.. just to set up Stealth Rock.. while maybe potentially knocking the enemy pokemon out..
The Occa Berry is there to reduce the dmg of Fire Pokemon Attacks.. I was debating if I should use a Focus Sash or Leftovers instead.. but so far this one is working pretty well..
Meteor Punch is one of my choices since it potentially increases the attack of this Beast.. Bullet Punch as Priority move.. and Earthquake for Fire Pokemons

Pyro (Heatran) (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Flash Fire
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 248 HP / 8 Def / 252 SDef
Calm Nature
- Lava Plume
- Protect
- Toxic
- Roar

-------------------------------------
Role: Status Inducer/Fire Pokemon Check
I was debating with myself if I should have used Empoleon instead of Heatran since it's Water Type would damage them more.. and since my Heatran has nearly no offensive attacks vs Fire Pokemons since it's only Attack is Lava Plume I can only use it to get a Free Flash Fire.. or to take on some Fire Attacks.. while poisoning my enemy's pokemon.. and then either Protect myself and wearing it down.. or Roaring it away.. to poison as many Pokemons as possible..

Styx (Skarmory) (F) @ Leftovers
Ability: Sturdy
EVs: 224 HP / 252 Def / 32 SDef
Impish Nature
- Spikes
- Roost
- Whirlwind
- Brave Bird

-------------------------------------
Role: Wall/Hazard Layer/ Fighting Pokemon Check
With it's nice Ability Sturdy and Bulk it can take at least take 1 hit from the enemy.. assuming no hazards are on my side..
Roost is there so that it can stay longer on the field.. while Brave Bird is for the Fighting Pokemons my team also has a weakness against.. Since it is a Flying + Steel Pokemon it should be able to take some hits.. Whirlwind is for Pokemon who try to set up against it.. or just damage Pokemon with the Hazards.. frequently

Steel Ball (Forretress) (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Sturdy
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SDef / 252 Def
Relaxed Nature
IVs: 0 Spd
- Rapid Spin
- Stealth Rock
- Volt Switch
- Gyro Ball

-------------------------------------
Role: Rapid Spinner/Tank/Substitute Stealth Rock
For the case Metagross can't fulfill its role for any reason.. like it get paralyzed in the beginning and then knocked out etc.. and for the case my enemy wipes the stealth rocks with Rapid Spin away.. I have this as Back Up
0 IVs at Speed since it's already slow as fuck.. and to ensure Gyroball hits even harder

Medi (Jirachi) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Serene Grace
EVs: 252 Spd / 252 Atk / 4 SDef
Jolly Nature
- Iron Head
- Ice Punch
- Fire Punch
- U-turn

-------------------------------------
Role: Sweeper/Revenge Killer
With its pretty nice ability Serene Grace.. combined with Iron Head it nearly renders the Enemy's Pokemon useless.. some of my enemies also quit or surrendered simply because they were annoyed by the amount of flinches this little devil causes..
Ice Punch also works well for Dragontype Pokemons.. since most of them are Flying + Dragon.. they have a 4x weakness to it.. and since Jirachi hits first it's also a nice Check against Dragontype and even Ground Pokemon
Equipped with Choice Scarf it's also pretty fast.. outspeeding most Pokemons.. and unless you use a Priority Move against it.. Jirachi will always hit first..

Batcario (Lucario) (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Justified
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SDef / 252 Spd
Jolly Nature
- Swords Dance
- Bullet Punch
- Close Combat
- Extreme Speed

-------------------------------------
Role: Sweeper
My Main Offensive.. equipped with two Priority Moves I can also use it as Substitute Revenge Killer.. Swords Dance as set up also ensures that it hits harder.. while Leftovers regenerates it steadily
Only weakness is that it's so fragile and often goes down by 1 or 2 hits.. so I chose Close Combat.. since it doesn't matter anyway when it gets more fragile.. and Hi Jump Kick is too risky.. like if it misses or my enemy uses Protect Lucario is pretty done for

As you can see all of my Steel Pokemon are from Gen II - V.. none from VI.. the reasons are simple I didn't play with Aeglislash etc enough yet to say if I should add it or any other Gen VI Steel Pokemon to my team.. nor do I know that much about Mega Evolutions yet.. and Mega Lucario is blocked from OU anyway
And I'm open to any suggestions.. you can replace any Pokemon you want if you can justify it with proper argumentations.. Thanks alot

Definitely use Life Orb over Leftovers on Lucario.. I don't even understand why you would use that. And go Adamant over Jolly. Whats faster is hit better by ES, what's slower is nuked by CC.

Hi, first time rater long time OU player :) I'll just make a little comment on each of you pokes and highlight a few changes that you'll need to address.

XOXO (Metagross) @ Occa Berry
Ability: Clear Body
EVs: 96 Atk / 252 HP / 160 SDef
Adamant Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Meteor Mash
- Bullet Punch
- Earthquake

My instant first impression of this set is that its in the wrong role, Metagross would be better suited for a bulky attacking role with this set:

metagross.gif

Metagross @ Assault Vest
Ability: Clear Body
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 HP / 4 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Meteor Mash
- Pursuit
- Earthquake
- Bullet Punch

This Metagross takes advantage of the assault vests boosted SDef also Metagross has no real way to boost its attack so it welcomes Meteor Mash with open arms. Meteor Mash also basically OHKO's most common fairies and Metagross comes in safely on any fairy type. Pursuit is there to deal with Latias and Latios which while not being common threats, its good to have them covered. Earthquake is here to deal with Nidoking and Nidoqueen also to take out other steel types. Bullet punch is here because priority, that is it. NOTE: Pursuit and Earthquake can be switched out for Zen Headbutt if you so wish for stab against fighting types!

Pyro (Heatran) (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Flash Fire
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 248 HP / 8 Def / 252 SDef
Calm Nature
- Lava Plume
- Protect
- Toxic
- Roar

Pyro (Heatran) (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Flash Fire
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 248 HP / 8 Def / 252 SDef
Calm Nature
- Lava Plume
- Protect
- Stealth Rock
- Roar

This set is a good choice and I cant see anything wrong with this except that because Metagross has become a bulky physical attacker you'll need another way to set up hazards so it all depends on your preference and what you feel is more important, you can switch out Toxic for Stealth Rock and keep Roar/Protecting to shuffle your opponents pokemon and get stealth rock damage stacking up.

Styx (Skarmory) (F) @ Leftovers
Ability: Sturdy
EVs: 224 HP / 252 Def / 32 SDef
Impish Nature
- Spikes
- Roost
- Whirlwind
- Brave Bird

Again your set is a good choice since its the standard smogon set, a tip i would give to potentially disable hazard setters and setting up would be to replace Brave Bird with Taunt, it would leave your Skarmory with 0 offensive potential but it neutralises some hazard setters and stops pokemon from setting up. You can also get some hazards set up with spikes and have some hazards shuffling shenanigans with Heatran's Roar and Skarmory's Whirlwind.

skarmory.gif

Styx (Skarmory) (F) @ Leftovers
Ability: Sturdy
EVs: 224 HP / 252 Def / 32 SDef
Impish Nature
- Spikes
- Roost
- Whirlwind
- Taunt

Steel Ball (Forretress) (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Sturdy
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SDef / 252 Def
Relaxed Nature
IVs: 0 Spd
- Rapid Spin
- Stealth Rock
- Volt Switch
- Gyro Ball

Again Goddamnit! Your set is the standard smogon set which is great and is already analysed on smogon.com so I wont go into detail but here is an alternative that can easily set up Stealth Rock and if your lucky when Quick claw activates you can get a second hazard up or spin some away but remember to swap Quick Claw out for Custap Berry when/if it is released.

forretress.gif

Steel Ball (Forretress) (M) @ Quick Claw
Ability: Sturdy
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SDef / 252 Def
Relaxed Nature
IVs: 18 SpD / 30 Spe
- Rapid Spin
- Stealth Rock
- Explosion
- Toxic Spikes

Medi (Jirachi) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Serene Grace
EVs: 252 Spd / 252 Atk / 4 SDef
Jolly Nature
- Iron Head
- Ice Punch
- Fire Punch
- U-turn

Now we're getting to the good stuff, Jirachi has always been an amazing steel type that always performs, your set provides great coverage that will basically wreck anything it touches. Another set you can use is the paraflincing set, yes your a dick but it gets the job done and there are very limited choices to counter it. NOTE: Ice Punch can be switched out for any move you want but an elemental punch is recommended!

jirachi.gif

Medi (Jirachi) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Serene Grace
EVs: 252 Spd / 252 Atk / 4 SDef
Jolly Nature
- Iron Head
- Thunder Wave
- Wish
- Ice Punch

Batcario (Lucario) (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Justified
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SDef / 252 Spd
Jolly Nature
- Swords Dance
- Bullet Punch
- Close Combat
- Extreme Speed

Since you have Jirachi and Metagross on the physical spectrum I wouldn't recommend having a third physical attacker, it will leave you extremely week on the special side of the spectrum. So I recommend using a special attacking Lucario instead. NOTE: Lucario has a wide movepool including HP's as well so feel free to edit the set to counter anything you find to be a common threat!

lucario.gif

Lucario @ Life Orb
Ability: Steadfast
EVs: 252 Spd / 252 SAtk / 4 SDef
Timid Nature
- Aura Sphere
- Dark Pulse
- Vacuum Wave
- Shadow Ball

GOOD TEAM MEMBERS TO CONSIDER:

klefki.gif

Klefki @ Leftovers
Ability: Prankster
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SDef
Impish Nature
- Thunder Wave
- Swagger
- Substitute
- Foul Play

Klefki @ Leftovers
Ability: Prankster
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SDef
Impish Nature
- Spikes
- Reflect
- Light Screen
- Thunder Wave

Ah Klefki, the bane of many an OU player. This set does what it says on the box, is parafuses and abuses prankster to its full potential. If you don't feel like being the dickiest of dicks you can run the dual screening variant and support your team fer dayz.

aegislash.gif
aegislash-blade.gif

Aegislash @ Leftovers
Ability: Stance Change
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 HP / 4 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Swords Dance
- King's shield
- Iron Head
- Shadow Sneak

Aegislash @ Leftovers
Ability: Stance Change
EVs: 128 Atk / 252 HP / 128 SpA
Adamant Nature
- Shadow ball
- King's shield
- Iron Head
- Shadow Sneak

Aegislash is probably the scariest pokemon in steel mono, it is granted a protect and increased defences through king's shield and priority STAB with Shadow Sneak, although you must judge your attacks well because if an opponent survives your first attack your sword form can barely take a hit at all. Aegislash provides a new dynamic for pokemon battles and the mind games are unreal.

Well I hope I helped somewhat and good luck in your monotype endeavours :)

If you intend on setting up Stealth Rock and multiple layers of Spikes, you need something that can punish the usage of Defog. Bisharp is a very obvious and good choice for your team.
You also don't want people using Rapid Spin, so I'd also recommend Aegislash.

Thanks alot for this long review of my team.. and I basically agree with nearly everything you said..
Oh well I think I will add Aegislash and Klefki into my team.. but I can't figure out yet which of my current Steel Pokemon I should kick out..
Candidates are Forretress and Skarmony..
Since Metagross Lucario and Jirachi are my necessary sweepers.. while I could do without a rapid spinner since the type steel is resistant to it anyway I think.. Toxic spikes are basically useless against my team.. while setting up spikes etc will take some time for my enemy.. and rarely happens
While Aegislash can take any fighting hits too.. since it's a ghost pokemon..
And Klefki's prankster ability might be a nice set up too

No probs :) I think your spot on with that, skarmory could be easily replaced by klefki as it can become a physical wall just like skarm and prankster is invaluable.
