My B055 team.

Hey all,

Here's my current OU team, it works very well and I'm really enjoying it, but as I get to higher ranks on Showdown, it gets tougher to pull out a win (...that was pretty obvious). Wondering if any of you have any advice for me, thanks!

Espeon @ Light Clay
Ability: Magic Bounce
EVs: 252 Spd / 4 HP / 252 SAtk
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Reflect
- Light Screen
- Dazzling Gleam
- Psychic
Usually my lead. I like to setup dual screens and switch out, usually to my Mega Gardevoir so it can wreak havoc safely. But that's just the beginning. Yeah, there are pokemon that can setup dual screens much better, like Klefki because of Prankster. But something Klefki doesn't have? Magic Bounce. This ability is just... amazing. Most of the time people don't even know about it and go ahead and try and spore my espeon to sleep, and of course it doesn't work. But not only does it not work, it gets bounced back at them! So that Focus Sash Smeargle you thought was so amazing is now a pile of sleeping crap waiting to be killed. I also like to save my Espeon for later, switching it in then out when I predict a Status move like Thunder Wave or Spore. And with an insanely high 130 Base Sp.Atk and 110 Base Speed, this beast can get it's screens up before the opponent can attack AND dish out some mean damage too.

Gardevoir-Mega (F) @ Gardevoirite
Ability: Pixilate
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Focus Blast
- Shadow Ball
- Hyper Voice
- Psyshock
The star of the team. Not much to say here, get's switched into often after dual screens and wreaks havoc. It's got great type coverage and because of Pixilate Hyper Voice is your main attack. Pixilate turns normal moves into Fairy moves, giving it the STAB bonus, AND the attack does 1.3x damage. Awesome right? Not only that, but sound based moves like Hyper Voice go straight through Subs. Psyshock is used for those incredibly bulky Sp.Def tanks (T-Tar, Goodra, Florges, Assault Vest users) and is very unexpected. It's 100 Base speed let's it outspeed many popular choices in the OU tier, and it OHKO's or THKO's most that don't resist it with it's 165 Base Sp.Atk.
Dragonite (M) @ Weakness Policy
Ability: Multiscale
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 Spd / 4 HP
Adamant Nature
- Ice Punch
- Earthquake
- ExtremeSpeed
- Dragon Claw
Another straightforward pokemon. Switched in, takes a hit with Multiscale (even Ice hits), weakness policy activates, sweep everything. Great type coverage, Ice Punch for those annoying ground types like Gliscor, and Extremespeed takes many by surprise, and with it's +2 priority, it'll go before moves like Bullet Punch and Shadow Sneak.

Talonflame (F) @ Leftovers
Ability: Gale Wings
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 Spd / 4 HP
Adamant Nature
- Brave Bird
- Flare Blitz
- Swords Dance
- Roost
We all know why. Talonflame is just simply broken. A +2 Priority Brave Bird just destroys pretty much anything that doesn't resist it. Priority Roost is pretty mean too.

Ferrothorn (M) @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Iron Barbs
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Def / 252 SDef
Relaxed Nature
IVs: 0 Spd
- Stealth Rock
- Gyro Ball
- Leech Seed
- Protect
Often times I lead with him, getting Rocks up and getting out ASAP. He's killed by those Special Fire attackers, but I love switching him into a Physical attacker, watch the tiny dent in his HP bar, then see the insane damage Rocky Helmet and Iron Barbs to to the opponent. It's defenses, 131 Def and 116 Sp.Def are far from low too. It get's really funny when I see a physical attacker with Stealth Rocks. I love switching into my Espeon when they use rocks (for Magic Bounce to activate and bounce the rocks back), then switching into my Ferrothorn to take the physical hit, then switching back into espeon after they think it's safe to use rocks. Aha, people just RQ after that.

Goodra (M) @ Assault Vest
Ability: Gooey
EVs: 252 SDef / 252 SAtk / 4 HP
Calm Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Dragon Pulse
- Thunderbolt
- Sludge Bomb
- Fire Blast
The Sp.Def tank of the team. From what I've seen, this thing can NOT be killed from ANY special attack, if at full health and opponent is unboosted. Dragon Pulse is a powerful STAB, Thunderbolt and Fire Blast are good coverage, and Sludge Bomb for all the Fairies who think they can kill this beast. With 150 Base Sp.Def and an Assault Vest, this slug Dragon demands attention.

So there you have it, my current OU team. Any advice? Thanks!

Thought I'd add this calc of just how bulky this Goodra is. Mega Mewtwo Y has the highest Sp.Atk stat in the game, a Sp.Atk boosting nature, and is using a supereffective move, which will take 4 hits to KO my goodra. Crazy.
252+ SpA Mega Mewtwo Y Ice Beam vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Assault Vest Goodra: 106-126 (27.6 - 32.8%) -- guaranteed 4HKO

just a note, that isnt your Goodra set, since that calc uses 252 HP EVs. The calc would be
252+ SpA Mega Mewtwo Y Ice Beam vs. 4 HP / 252+ SpD Assault Vest Goodra: 106-126 (32.9 - 39.1%) -- 99.8% chance to 3HKO
Which would also be a silly move to make, since Goodra's physical defense isn't the best, and psystrike and psyshock dont use special defense in the calc.
252+ SpA Mega Mewtwo Y Psystrike vs. 4 HP / 0 Def Goodra: 327-385 (101.5 - 119.5%) -- guaranteed OHKO
252+ SpA Mega Mewtwo Y Psyshock vs. 4 HP / 0 Def Goodra: 262-309 (81.3 - 95.9%) -- guaranteed 2HKO (give it SR and like 7% damage and its OHKO too)
Only running 4 EVs in Health makes it much more succeptible to Keldeo's Secret Sword, or just physical attacks on the predicted switch. Also since most priority moves are physical, pokemon like CB scizor will be taking a decent chunk out of Goodra, and lacking recovery means its going to get worn down quickly. So maybe run some of those EVs in HP because Goodra won't always be taking a special hit, especially if they predict the switch for a mixed sweeper, and it also helps him take hits in general better.
252+ Atk Choice Band Technician Scizor Bullet Punch vs. 4 HP / 0 Def Goodra: 217-256 (67.3 - 79.5%) -- guaranteed 2HKO (if they aren't running CB its probably mega, which 93.8% chance to OHKO with one SD)
252 SpA Goodra Fire Blast vs. 252 HP / 4 SpD Scizor: 512-604 (148.8 - 175.5%) -- guaranteed OHKO
Whereas switching sp attack and hp EVs,
252+ Atk Choice Band Technician Scizor Bullet Punch vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Goodra: 217-256 (56.5 - 66.6%) -- guaranteed 2HKO (~10% less damage)
4 SpA Goodra Fire Blast vs. 252 HP / 4 SpD Mega Scizor: 344-408 (100 - 118.6%) -- guaranteed OHKO
So I guess keep that in mind.

Also, you run Talonflame AND multiscale Dragonite without a defogger/spinner, so if you still want a specially defensive wall, you could use Latias over Goodra for Defog/Recovery support and to keep the dragon-typing. Granted that would mean a 3rd psychic type, and I dunno if that would help.

I would suggest using latias over goodra because it will provide defog that is crucial to your team because of talonflame and dragonite

Latias@life orb
Timid
252 SPE/252 SATK/4 SDEF
-defog
-roost
-draco meteor
-psyshock

This latias is a pretty standard defoger but it is good at what it does.

Regarding your dragonite i would switch ice punch>dragon dance
This allows you to boost your spped and get past faster threats that extemespeed cannot kill like garchomp.

Have fun making this team :)

Will consider Latias instead of Goodra. I'm not too sure about removing Ice Punch for Dragon Dance, as I know DD would really help Dragonite, but Ice Punch destroys those annoying ground/flying types like Gliscor and Landorus that really hurt my team. If I did switch it, I'd have to throw Blizzard on Goodra, meaning possibly removing Sludge Bomb, my weapon against Fairies.
