Option #1: Sacrificing a virgin to Cthulu is still the best (and only) way to be certain of legitimacy of traded Pokemon.

Option #2: For previous gen Pokemon, having extensive knowledge of game mechanics and using KeyBV to dump .pk6 files and view all the hidden info is pretty good for checking legality, combine that with using Pokecheck to compare to a huge database of Pokemon and you can catch some legal hacks too.

Option #3: Catch/breed everything yourself and never have to worry about this again.

It's very easy to hack Kalos bred shinies (that still have memories), just because fewer Kalos bred hacks get caught doesn't mean there are fewer out there.

Giving away a few Shinys I have in my box in regular pokeballs.

I'm giving them away bc I have rebred them with better natures, egg moves, and matching pokeballs.
  • These pokemon vary in levels.
  • These pokemon are kalos bred with memories.
  • These pokemon were obtained pre bank and pre powersave.
  • One per person
  • I will make a list which I will distribute via pm.

Dumb question I've never really thought about before: how do you get 4 egg moves onto something? It seems like the default random move it learns at level 1 overrides one.

It shouldn't do that. Egg Moves are supposed to override the level 1 move. What are you trying to breed?
