[READ ME] Tips for Simple Hack Checks

I'm a little confused by the definition of hacking, but I would assume that anything modified by a gameshark way back in gen 3 (for IV modification after capture) would be considered a hack, correct?

Correct. Anything modified or created with an external device is considered a hack.

I suppose it's safe to assume then that the legendaries you see around with perfect IV's or perfect sets for a certain hidden power have been RNG'd then?

Also, thank you for the confirmation. I had a number of mons modified by gameshark from years earlier, and I wanted to make sure I shouldn't be passing them around.

Just wanted to check if these are hacked:

Shiny Venusaur
31/31/31/31/31/31
Modest
OT: I
ID no: 48484
"Seems to have travelled across both time and space to the Kalos region from the Johto region"

(Nearly 99% sure its hacked because of the ID but just wanted confirmation)

Shiny Sylveon
31/31/31/30/30/31
Bold

OT: Fanta
ID no: 29265

'Appears to have travelled across both space and time in order to reach the kalos region from the unova region'

Sylveon is hacked, can you give more information on Venusaur?

I'd like to know if this thing is legal (even if i'm pretty sure its illegal for obvious reasons, specially for that fishy SID); but i'd like that a more professional hand can confirm it (i miss Pokécheck's shoutbox for legality checking questions. :c).

Thanks. I was also going to ask about the legality of this one (forgot to put the link in my previous post), this is the one with the fishy SID; can you tell me about it?

Both are really bad hacks, the OT Kurt one is a really stupid edit of https://www.pokecheck.org/?p=detail&uid=709844, the other one is just a normal hack by someone that doesn't know what they're doing.

K, that clarifies everything, thanks Dark Ray!
Are you sure? I'm fairly certain that Emerald is what introduced the nature sync to stationary pokemon, legendaries at least.
Actually he's right, in Emerald Synchronize only works on Wild Pokémon, while stationaries aren't affected by it, unlike in later gens.

Not sure if this has been brought up but Powersave has now added pokeball modification so I guess we have to watch out for More hacked Pokeballs in 6th gen now?
