I have some 4-5 IV super-sized eggs if you need any.
I'm curious as to why people want certain pokeballs, and ask which pokeball to use with which pokemon. Does it serve any purpose other than aesthetics?
It's merely cosmetic, but to most people it makes them more valuable (especially if they are in dream or apicorn balls).
I don't care myself (half of my +80 Gen 6 competitive pokes are in pokeballs) but since it sometimes makes or breaks a deal even I started obsessing over what balls I breed.
Also it makes giveaways annoying, if you offer amazing pokes in just pokeballs you rarely get bites. And I'd rather give away good spitbacks then delete them.

Minor purposes from Heal Ball (heals your Poké), Friend Ball (higher starting base happiness) and Luxury Ball (happiness raises faster—I think).
But no, as far as I know people only care for aesthetics. Much like why people covet shininess.
Speaking of different Pokeballs, I am looking for some advice. I am going to go back to Colosseum and catch all Johto starters in all the non-standard balls that I don't already have. Here are the ones I'm missing:
-Great
-Ultra
-Net
-Nest
-Repeat
-Timer*
*= Timer will likely be last regardless of suggestions due to personal prejudice.
I am wondering which order to get them. As for Luxury, Premier, and Dive balls; I already have them.

Go Nest Ball -> Net -> Repeat ->Great -> Ultra

If it's in a Nest Ball, it has to be Kalos bred, doesn't it?
No just needs to be a bulbasaur with hp fire(and giga drain egg move, but i think most bred bulbasaurs have giga drain as an egg move) in a nest ball
You can try modest or I've never seen this but maybe you can go with a bold bulky one make sure it also has heat wave...also if you go with a timid or modest which I recommend you should consider scarfing it or using specs
I think that defensive sets are the best because offensive sets are generally outclassed by both Thundurus forms.
Heatwave is a BW2 tutor move
Mine has heat wave but yeah your right it's a tutor move but the you can transfer zapdos from older games and teach it heat wave
Best ball for Ampharos and Clawitzer? :)
Even with Heat Wave Thundurus still has better coverage, stats, ability and has access to Nasty Plot.
Zapdos literally only gets Thunder(bolt), heat wave, hidden power, ancient power and Extrasensory as special moves.
