I just found out that swagger is banned from OU. Is this true? Why is it banned? I wish I knew this sooner because I've gotten plenty of battles via smogon where people used swagger.
I haven't heard that yet about that myself.Hmmm. Maye because of the fact of Prankster on Klefiki, Liepard and Thundurus.

It was banned quite recently, and only under Smogon's rules, not nintendo's

would i be missing anything important in battling if my skarmorys iv spread was 31/31/31/31/31/xx vs 31/31/31/xx/31/31 . Just wondering out of laziness. Id like to just build and test my team out instead of breed more.

Not sure why you're going for 31 SpA instead of 31/31/31/x/31/31.

I'm currently raising up a Manectric (with the intention of using Mega form, obviously). I'm still debating over some aspects of it, though.

Nature: Should I go Modest or Timid? It kinda plays into the moveset a little bit...but I'm not sure which serves Manectric better; greater speed or greater power.

Moves:
-Volt Switch
-Electro Ball/Discharge/Thunderbolt (I kinda want to do Electro Ball, just because I know for a fact it'll be effective on Manectric...that high Sp. Attack and Speed. Yet part of me wonders if Discharge or Thunderbolt would be better choices. Leaning towards Electro Ball, but I'm checking others' opinions.)
-Flamethrower/Overheat (I debate this because I'm not certain if I'd be keeping Manectric out for extended periods of time. His ability is Intimidate in Mega form, and I'd want to try and exploit that as often and best as possible. Hence Volt Switch. If Manectric is gonna switch out anyways, Overheat is a nicer option...but on the chance that he stays in, Flamethrower would be the better choice to use alongside his main Electric attack. Not sure what to do here.)
-??? (Probably gonna be Hidden Power. Manectric's movepool is pretty barren. If I do use Hidden Power, then it'd almost definitely be Ice-type, but if there are better options out there for moves, please let me know.)

Hey anyone interested in doing some clonng? I have a Timid Shiny 5iv Charizard with Dragonpulse. If you're interested just let me know/ pm me. Thanks in advance.

I believe mega menetric has base speed of 135 really fast so I would go with modest considering its blazing fast and it can hit hard and volt switch as well also overheat over flamethrower manectric has volt switch its gonna be switching so hit as hard as you can and switch out of there

Maybe Timid Nature with the Electro Ball for speed, Discharge for Multi battles(or for more of the chance to get the paralyze),thunderbolt for more damage.
Flamethrower with less firepower or, Overheat for more power but have the -2Spatk each time used.
Hidden power(Ice) would be a good factor to catch your opponent off guard for when they switch in a Gliscor on you.

Definetly Timid

So according to the wifi announcement here: http://www.smogon.com/forums/thread...for-both-nds-and-wii-to-end-may-20th.3500994/ when it says "The local connectivity functions of these games will still work" that means that I will still be able to trade between my own games after May 20th, right? cos I have a 3ds original and a ds lite that I usually use to trade with myself. I won't need to buy anything else will I?

I would assume so, internet connectivity has never been required to trade between 2 game systems via infrared. Of course it wouldn't matter much anyways, since Poke Transfer exists.

Cool, that's what I was hoping. Thanks for clearing that up.

I still need to catch all the pokes from Pearl and trade them over to HG, since I already have gens 1-3 on that game. The problem is that I can't really be bothered to do that right now lol.

LF: Manaphy

Don't want to keep it just register it for the pokedex. It's the last event exclusive i haven't registered yet.

I'm offering a reward for helping me, I have lots of 5IV 0 spe Quiet Honedge or a Lucky egg. Also have random 5 IV cottonee in nest ball +4 eggmoves and dreamball feebas +4 egg moves.

PD: sorry varj I arrived late, we can still trade if you want.

Mega Manetric has an amazing speed tier which it should take advantage of
Also agree with timid. Need to make sure you are fast since you are frail. And overheat is good if you are OK with switching out immediately. He can't do anything after the drop. But the power is needed Imo, just to get any ko's you may otherwise miss. Don't know about your electric slot though.

So I should take his already blistering speed and add to it further, to ensure that Manectric almost never gets outsped? I admit, it does sound appealing...the few Pokemon that are faster than Mega-Manectric (that are non-Uber) probably wouldn't be using Speed-boosting natures of their own, and the're all pretty frail regardless.

I'm about to breed a 6IV Bagon but I want to know if rash is an useful nature or should I just stick with naïve?
