Teambuilding Process:
Ultimate Hyper Offense

The Team:

Landorus (M) @ Life Orb
Ability: Sheer Force
EVs: 252 Spd / 252 SAtk / 4 HP
Timid Nature
- Earth Power
- Focus Blast
- Psychic
- Sludge Wave
One of the staples of the team. can come in and walk on many common threats in OU, such as ferrothorn, which is ohkod by focus blast. has great coverage as well. psychic can dent incoming conkeldurrs before the revenge kill you, and do a lot a damage on even AV conkeldurr:
252 SpA Life Orb Sheer Force Landorus Psychic vs. 252 HP / 4 SpD Assault Vest Conkeldurr: 289-341 (69.8 - 82.3%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
for those of you who don't know, sheer force cancels all effects of life orb and gives it just a 1.3x boost, the same as the life orb boost, without the recoil. so for this entire set every move is automatically 1.6x without any drawbacks whatsoever. my special attack, even timid, soars to 526, on each attack after boosts.
Earth power is its kill switch.

Kyurem-Black @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Teravolt
EVs: 252 Spd / 252 Atk / 4 SDef
Adamant Nature
- Outrage
- Fusion Bolt
- Zen Headbutt
- Iron Head
another pokemon that is amazing with a built in killswitch. adamant kyurem-B has a 482 sky high attack stat. I do not understand why this thing isint used more. even locked into outrage, it still destroys everything not fairy or named ferrothorn or skarmory (which takes ~75% from fusion bolt). Thanks to aevong for introducing me to this set, its extremely valuable and has great coverage (even though you really never use anything but outrage and fusion bolt).
252+ Atk Conkeldurr Mach Punch vs. 4 HP / 0 Def Kyurem-B: 152-182 (38.7 - 46.4%) -- guaranteed 3HKO
252+ Atk Teravolt Kyurem-B Outrage vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Conkeldurr: 274-324 (66.1 - 78.2%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

Latios (M) @ Life Orb
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 Spd / 252 SAtk / 4 Def
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Draco Meteor
- Psyshock
- Surf
- Defog
powerful special attacker, defogger. obvious things are obvious. 0 ivs for foul play, blah blah blah. life orb for extra damage, blah blah blah. actually, im happy about using it, ground has always seemed to be a dangerous type to my teams. its rare im happy about using a defogger, most seem like dead weight (mandibuzz is overrated on showdown imo). surf over ice beam or something for coverage and none of the rest of my team has a water move. Draco meteor is my main stab, VERY powerful, can obliterate a lot of common threats that my other dragon kyurem doesnt like to handle with outrage.

No mega pinsir sprite, deal with it
Pinsir @ Pinsirite
Ability: Moxie / Aerilate
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SDef / 252 Spd
Jolly Nature
- Quick Attack
- Return
- Swords Dance
- Close Combat
not too bulky sweeper. pinsir has a weakness to stealth rocks, requiring him to have defogging or rapid spin support. i love bringing it in on a weak poke to get a moxie boost, or as a switch forcer, allowing me to get an easy swords dance. oh yeah, here is a hint about mega pinsir. CLOSE COMBAT > EARTHQUAKE. for those of you who disagree, play with both. I don't care what you say, close combat is much better than EQ. jolly for max speed, as this thing is commonly weak to electric and fire. It suprised me how much this outspeeds. its unfortunate i HAVE to run defog on latios, but when i made this team it was for the best, the team wouldnt be what it is.

Heatran @ Air Balloon / Leftovers
Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 252 SAtk / 4 SDef / 252 Spd
Timid Nature
- Fire Blast
- Flash Cannon
- Earth Power
- Ancient Power
I needed another special attacker, and i wanted one with decent natural bulk. yet i ended up running max speed. wtf is wrong with me.....anyways standard offensive heatran. i am actually considering assault vest, i have plenty of ground resistance. i could run AV or Lefties on this dude, and im not sure what. fire blast and flash cannon stab, earth power for other heatrans, and ancient power over hp ice due to me wanting to take out fire types i come in for flash fire against. also gives talonflame and charizard-Y a reason to switch out against me.

Terrakion @ Focus Sash
Ability: Justified
EVs: 252 Spd / 252 Atk / 4 SDef
Adamant Nature
- Swords Dance
- Rock Polish
- Stone Edge
- Close Combat
SD RP set. my always lead. he plays mind games with people, they think stealth rocks, i just go for swords dance or rock polish if they will switch, or hit things that taunt with stab stone edge and close combat. and at double +2 this thing will kill at least two pokes almost everytime. This team being a non setup sweeping team for the most part, i dont view rocks as neccessary. I was thinking "who should i run as a lead", i didnt care for using rocks and wanted to have something where i click one button and then can sweep whole teams. so here comes terrorkion (i suck).
importable
Have battled up to 1650 on the ladder from a scratch account i used to test. I love this team. I do fear however that taking away one poke for anything takes a significant part away from the team, but i am VERY open to ANY suggestions, if you have some "favorite HO poke" you love and think would fit well, tell me.
Something tells me there is something that walls this whole team, but idk what.
i dont really fear BP, i can setup with my lead while they stupidly protect and then kill something when it comes in. 1 sub? no problem. once you BP whoever you bring in will be dying anyways.
Possible Threats:
Lati@s, i have no way to really switch into it, i can only RK it with outrage from KB. a super effective coverage move or something would do the trick.
more to be added................
i wanted to create a team that featured both potent setup sweepers and pokemon with the Raw brutal power to just obliterate anything in its way. i think i succeeded. btw i am damn proud of how this thread looks. :)
thoughts?
Kyurem-B + Landorus-I
Physical kyurem B. With a scarf its unstoppable. its coverage is suprisingly decent, although it doesnt do much else besides Outrage and Fusion bolt. I decided to couple it with LO sheer force Landorus-I, another powerful poke with great coverage. because of sheer force's mechanics, it takes away all the effects of life orb for another 1.3x damage, so all of its attacks (that have secondary effects) get 1.6x power by default with no recoil.
Kyurem-B + Landorus-I + Bisharp + Pinsir
I wanted a poke that could counter fairies and make my opponent pay for using defog (i planned to have a SR user), so i chose lum berry bisharp. i also chose mega pinsir, its weaknesses were countered beautifully by the rest of the team (offensively, partially defensively).
Kyurem-B + Landorus-I + Bisharp + Pinsir + Heatran
obviously, the whole team was physical, so i wanted to add offensive heatran to counter that.
Kyurem-B + Landorus-I + Heatran + Pinsir
I just didnt like bisharp anymore with the synergy of the team, and i knew i needed to get rid of one of my physical balls. so i scrapped bisharp and moved back to square one, otherwise known as support.
Kyurem-B + Landorus-I + Latios + Heatran + Pinsir
added latios for defog support and more power, as well as another special attacker. i also decided that i really didnt care too much about rocks or anything (whats the point if i just have to defog them away?)
Kyurem-B + Landorus-I + Latios + Heatran + Pinsir + Terrakion
i wanted a fast sweeper to lead, preferrably a poke that was fast and powerful, as well as be able to set up. Also a poke that could play mind games with rocks would be great. so i decided on Terrakion, and used a SD RP set.
