Based on Ullar's play, I assumed he was one of these things.
- A really important role like a bodygaurd/safegaurd who was intentionally acting scummy so that mafia might spare him in hopes of pushing a mislynch on him in the future. A fairly ballsy gambit, but possible.
- A person who really didn't want to play the game, probably because he got something really shitty. Subbing for more willing options probably would've been the more logical option in this case, but I did entertain the idea on the premise that his sign-in might've been on "first" impulse like Empoof's.
- Mafia, or at the very least a traitor trying to get the mafia's attention.
I've already said this in my big post, but with his claiming of pacifist, that rules out option 1 from the get-go, which to be honest, probably would've been the most favorable way to portray himself, even if no one bought it. With a claim like that and no cc's (since cc's in this game seem pretty impossible and a doctor cc wouldn't be optimal at this point) he could at least attempt to shift a few votes off for just one day, since lynching a doc seems to be one of the worst things you could do as village. :)
Two could still hold water, but either way, I'd say it's grounds for lynching. His playstyle just seems so intentionally scummy that I seriously thought he was a Fool wanting to get lynched ASAP while reading the thread objectively, until a quick read at the list proved me otherwise. And then I thought he had soft-claimed it, since aside from the fact that Fools aren't in this game, seems believable enough. Since he is not a Fool, I'm mostly comfortable with this lynch now.
And there still remains the idea that he could be mafia. I doubt it, since a Pacifist claim just seems to be way too random and scum based to be a lie.
The same could be said for my own role, heh. In the unlikely event that he does turn up as a mafioso, I'm not entirely sure if it'll bring about a lot of info scum-team wise, since we all generally hold the opinion that he's scummy as soap. Maybe someone could look into his brief reads or something, but since that's all he contributed, the info we will have is squat. Which is good for the mafia, of course. Looks like everyone wins with this lynch. :/
As for the whole Celever-LW debate, I'm a bit more comfortable with Light than before I pointed out the fact that everyone just kind of assumed he was town. I'm also relieved that somebody shares my suspicions, but I don't think they're enough to pressure him for. I can't exactly say much without repeating myself, but I will try to look into it after deadline.
I only voted starwarsfan to get answers. While I wasn't really satisfied with what I got, I got answers, so I removed my vote. (The fact that I'm not voting isn't on the count, by the way. <_<) Still not entirely sure if this is an elaborate bus, a town vs. town, or if one of them really is that blatantly scummy. Like I said before, I'm not really impressed or convinced by either of them. It does make for nice discussion to go back onto though in the event that one of them flips, so at least we've got that going on for us.
Now for some minor quips.
Assuming that this is indeed the worst case scenario of five mafia and no protective roles (which I doubt, since skarm did say that he threw out some obviously broken setups, and would be jossed if Ullar is telling the truth) I can assume that the mafia can only have one kill a night, which seems to match up what we had d1. I wouldn't rule out vigilantes holding out to avoid shooting town by accident, or even a failed maf kill on a traitor/BPV with a killer being the one who got B_T. I think I'll be calculating different possibilities during the night to see if I can come up with some favorable scenarios for some of the newer players to see.
I am currently not voting. Walrein has asked me not to hammer, so I will not vote for Ullar. Do I have to vote a placeholder, or can I abstain from voting? This is more of a host question than anything else.
Also, holy cow I did not see how many new players there really are in this game! I made that long post before some of the substitutions, and I guess I just assumed that we were minority. After seeing that list though, I can't really see "picking on newbs" as a valid point. :/
No questions outside of that one for the host. :)
