Anyone using CB Aerilate Dragonite with...Double-Edge? This thing is one hell of a wallbreaker.

252+ Atk Choice Band Aerilate Dragonite Double-Edge vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Ferrothorn: 255-301 (72.4 - 85.5%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
252+ Atk Choice Band Aerilate Dragonite Double-Edge vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Cresselia: 271-321 (61 - 72.2%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery
252+ Atk Choice Band Aerilate Dragonite Double-Edge vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Heatran: 204-240 (52.8 - 62.1%) -- 99.6% chance to 2HKO after Leftovers recovery
252+ Atk Choice Band Aerilate Dragonite Double-Edge vs. 248 HP / 252+ Def Zapdos: 171-202 (44.6 - 52.7%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Stealth Rock and Leftovers recovery
252+ Atk Choice Band Aerilate Dragonite Double-Edge vs. 252 HP / 4 Def Skarmory: 159-188 (47.6 - 56.2%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Stealth Rock and Leftovers recovery

Basically if you are not a very bulky resist that invests heavily on physical bulk, you are getting 2HKOed. There really isn't anything besides physically defensive Skarmory that can stand up to the insane power of CB Double-Edge. By the way, Extremespeed should be run on the same set though to shit on offense.

From my experience dragonite and bisharp rule this metagame. There has been discussion regarding adaptability bisharp, and it is destructive.

But from own personal experience swift swim or sand rush bisharp absolutely tears apart teams who lack fighting priority.

With speed investment at base 70 speed (Doubled) you outspeed practically everything that isn't scarfed or deoxys-speed.

The beautiful aspect of it is...no one expects swift swim or sand rush...you can switch it on something that outspeeds naturally. It could even have priority but choose not to go for it because it thinks it will go first or it can take a sucker punch anyways. And either ko or hope for the flinch with iron head then ko. Almost every time you get at least one free kill because they don't expect bisharp to be that ridiculously fast.

Also something that I think has gone neglected is while Imposter is banned in this meta (And rightfully so), Illusion is fair game. Meaning it is completely legal to have a full party team of illusion pokemon.

CB Edge is meh since Salamence is literally a better version if your not always spamming Espeed, with the popularity of MIGHTY JAPANESE THUNDURUS: BOROTUROUSU (idk if I spelled correctly) and speed dos, which is why I've been swapping out DD Nite for DD Mence on some of my teams:
SalamenceScratchSprite28.png

Salamence @ Yache Berry
Ability: Aerilate
252 Atk / 252 Spe / 4 HP
Jolly / Adamant Nature
- Outrage / Dragon Claw
- Return / Double Edge
- Dragon Dance
- Earthquake / Fire Blast

Adamant allows it to outpower and outspeed adamant dragonite while still speed tying modest max speed zapdos. Jolly lets it outpower jolly dnite by 1 base atk and still outspeed timid/jolly base 100s. Fire Blast lets it 2hko skarmory while EQ is standard physical coverage. Return is more reliable while Double Edge hits way harder. The main draw is it's greater speed tier while it's greater attack stat still stands. Without Espeed though, it might need a boost or more to beat standard offense. Mence can run enough speed for base 80s or 90s on a bulky ddance set as an advantage over bulky ddnite, it can also run a scarf set better due to speed reasons. Band is p much a dnite thing though

I made a really gimmicky ninja team. Not sure how this is going to work lol. Hopefully Bisharp, Lucario and my Sashmons can save me from Flying spam.

I think since Flame Orb isn't *consumed* or lost, Acrobatics won't double in base power. (Unless you're relying on it to get Knocked Off at some point...)

I am not a fan of Aerilate D-Nite, so I use this little sucker:

Lucario @ Life Orb
Ability: Refridgerate
4 Atk / 252 SpAtk / 252 Spd
Undecided Nature
- ExtremeSpeed
- Nasty Plot
- Vacuum Wave
- Flash Cannon

I can see multiple adaptations of this that I could use: SD & 3 priorities, Focus Sash (guaranteed NP or Dragonite kill), more attack EV's, etc. Essentially, you can sac something or come in on a predicted DD and usually kill with E-Speed. If not, you should have enough priority to kill it from the remaining HP. You coukd also try setting up a NP after a burn, and proceed to destroy all life.

252 HP / 252+ Def Suicune with Hydration
Rain Dance
Scald/Surf
Rest
Calm Mind

Insane bulk and Hydration Rest makes this thing a major threat. Doesn't like the opponents Dragonite still alive but this thing wrecks havoc. Big game winner for me. I often bring it in a Drizzle Rotom's Volt Switch.

Changed my Guts Sceptile to Protean Sceptile and had a blast with my band of ninjas. :)
Sceptile @ Life Orb
Ability: Protean
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 Spd / 4 HP
Jolly Nature
- Rock Slide
- Leaf Blade
- Earthquake
- Drain Punch
Protean Rock Slide helps it deal with Fly spam and actually be usable. Earthquake is quite strong even with only 85 base attack and Drain Punch is useful for healing and Bisharp. I'm actually considering getting rid of Leaf Blade for Crunch, Synthesis or Swords Dance, as in a Sap Sipper Swampert meta, Grass isn't very useful at all.

Have you considered swapping your Sceptile for Virizion? In exchange for a little less Speed you get a higher attack, better bulk, and access to a stronger Fighting move (Close Combat or even Sacred Sword) and a stronger Rock move (Stone Edge.) You lose Earthquake, but Rock/Fighting is pretty good already.

He made sure that it was a ninja team. Last time i checked, Virizion's design wasn't based off a ninja.

All of my other teams are for effectiveness. Just trying to have a little fun with a gimmick team for once while still doing okay. Anything wrong with that?
Nothing wrong with you having a little fun, the only thing wrong is thisisafake name's and your attitude. Yeah we get it's a joke team. Maybe you can politely remind him instead of acting like a jerk. He's just giving you constructive feedback.

Yeah it's fine. My gripe was just the design wins over utility thing. I didn't want to sound like a jerk, I was just taking a defensive stance that I apparently didn't have to take.
To keep on topic, Levitate Magnezone seems like it would be really anti-meta, only fearing Dragonite with Fire Punch or Fire Blast. Has anyone used it yet?

Nah, I've done no guard scarfed Zap Cannon though
