(Peer pressure even on the internet don't let it bother you) both are fine options, RNG is just more viable at this point in time. I've handbred decent to good Pokemon from Gen 3 to 5 and I've RNG'd decent to good Pokemon from Gen 3 to 5. There's plenty of other people out there who have done the same it's just very time consuming and inefficient after you learn to RNG. Despite me saying this, I still breed without RNG on Gen 3 sometimes anyway, lol.
If you want help you can PM and I'll direct you to guides that will help you get started. If you don't want to learn or do RNG that's fine too, but don't keep asking for opinions here about bad breeds unless they're above 25 IV's in the correct stats. You'll just get the same answer of, "Learn to RNG."
With that said, both methods of breeding/capturing or whatever else are rewarding and both methods are accepted here regardless of the net wide arguments. They're both rewarding and accomplishments.
