Simple Questions/Requests - Mark 40 (Minor Pokemon Trades, Item Requests etc GO HERE) (NO HACKING)

anyone have a good capture pokemon? anything that can learn false swipe and gets a sleep move with >=60 accuracy, and the higher level (like at least 50, but if no one offers i'll take lower) the better. i would prefer a breloom the most, but i'll settle for venusaur, parasect, gallade, or mew (ha), or anything that can evolve into them. all i have to offer is in the thread in my sig (though i do have a shiny venipede i'd let go for this).

Get a Smeargle. False Swipe / Spore / Sweet Scent / Soak is amazing. Soak is for using False Swipe + Spore on wild Pumpkaboo and such. Screw Foresight :P

right now i'm soft-resetting for zapdos and zygarde, neither of whom will be getting my master ball (that goes to mewtwo). so i really only need false swipe + sleep, and smeargle is wayy outclassed by other pokemon on that front. it'd have to have quite a few levels on its target to be effective. i'll take one as a last resort, but i'd much prefer something else.

- Sing
- Covet
- Simple Beam
- Heal Bell / Wish

male + cute charm for finding females in the wild with low gender ratios and simple beam for checking for hidden abilities.
sing is for helping with captures. yeah it's inconsistent, but it at least hits grass types and whatever anyway; a miss 5 turns in a row is just frustrating, not the end of your capture.
covet is only there for stealing items, and heal bell or wish for party health, and they both just increase the general utility (i don't really see anything else that's much better). if only it learned false swipe ;~;
 
I heard that's its best to use a pokemon with an ability that announces itself when hunting for zygarde/zapdos. You get the pokemon's speed to be 1 less than the desired speed of z/z, so you'll know you can SR on any z/z that has their ability trigger AFTER your pokemon's does.
 
Assuming you've determined your stats in some method (at least vaugely with one of the many guides available) use breloom. Spore and false swip with an absolute butt ton of attak so it doesn't do crap all.

yeah i know, that's why breloom is my first choice. but to get it with spore without trading i'd have to raise a shroomish from level 1, and i'd rather avoid that.

but, there are guides for finding IVs of wild pokemon? :O how....
 
If I am using masuda method in N English game, will using two foreign pokemon work as long as they're from different regions?

and ghosts if sing is missing too much i suppose. not sure why i didn't think of it. probably cos i haven't had cause to catch anything with those abilities yet lol

i don't believe it even checks the language of your game, just that the languages of the two parents are different

Well assuming you're doing legends (otherwise breloom is just outright the best annoyinjg yes but also the best) they have 31 in at leasts 31 stats. You bring a pokemon who's speed is one point lower than the speed of the pokemon you want to capture ( I suppose this can be done with normal pokemon too) then if thei'r ability (pressure) goes before your ability (say mold breaker they're fast and they're worth moving onto the next step. Assuming you want 31 Iv's in HP bring a pokemon with final gambit and 1 hp less than the max hp for the pokemon you're tyring to capture and then if it faint it wasn't worht caputring. just speed up soft reseting
 
I'm planning on breeding a HP Rock Lilligant what Ability and Nature should I breed? I was thinking Timid Own Tempo, but the only real reason I would want Own Tempo is for Petal Dance, which I know isn't all that great. If her other moves play a part in her Ability/Nature they're going to be Giga Drain, Quiver Dance, HP Rock, Petal Dance/????.

A QD set wants Timid to outrun all it can, the moveset is fine and Own Tempo for Petal Dance yeah. You.. don't want to fire off Petal Dance though, what with damn near everything resisting it.
I used Chlorophyll in Gen 5 singles; Lilligant is so stupidily fast its almost broken (Modest effortlessly outruns Scarf Latios) in which case you just want Solarbeam / Sleep Powder / HP Rock / Leaf Storm.
