Simple Questions/Requests - Mark 40 (Minor Pokemon Trades, Item Requests etc GO HERE) (NO HACKING)

I need help with formatting.

1. On my thread, I use a lot of hide commands but whenever I edit something inside the hide and press save changes, unwanted copies of my hide shows up. Is there any way to stop that?
2. Also, sometimes the spacing in between my multiple hides may be different, is there a way to prevent that from happening?
3. To avoid all the frustration, and the ugly orange bars on my thread, I want to replace some hides with previews or whatever there called (Ex. New arrivals on .com 's thread), anyone know what the command is for that?

1. Use the Spanner tool (far right on the toolbar) to switch to plain text, and remove any additional [HIDE]'s, etc. that get added. BB Code's fun like that sometimes.
2. I've not encountered that or seen it happen so no idea.
3. I use [CENTER][QUOTE]...Images...[/QUOTE][/CENTER] for the Recently added part of my thread (with each image wrapped in [URL=...]Image[/URL] tags linking to the relevant post). I also use [COLOR=#FCFCFF]in normal post[/COLOR] and [COLOR=#FFF4E5]in quotes[/COLOR] to do hidden text for searching and spacing.
Secret number 4. If you ever want to know how someone has achieved a certain effect in a post, hit the reply button followed by the aforementioned spanner tool. It'll show you the BB Code used.

TL;DR the whole thread. Posting just wondering if anyone ITT is doing TSV checking. I'd be willing to hatch an egg whose ESV matches mine in exchange for my TSV.

I'm asking because the KeySAV program runs on Wine (the Mac program that runs. Exe) but Instacheck isn't compatible with Wine. Please Help!!

No matter what, you can't control what stat the RNG will pick to come up random. If the random stat is NOT in the desired place (the x in your desired 5IV spread, like 31/x/31/31/31/31 or 31/31/31/x/31/31), then it's highly unlikely that egg will hatch into the 5IV that you want (as you'd be dependent on the RNG randomly giving you 31 for that stat).

If you breed with a 5IV and a 6IV pokemon, the absolute worst pokemon you can get is a 4IV pokemon, as the RNG can pick the random stat to be in something that both parents have 31 in, and can pick the 5IV parent to pass down its imperfect x stat.

If you breed 2 5IV pokemon with x in different stats, then it is possible to get 3IV eggs: the random stat in something both parents have perfect in, father's x stat, and the mother's x stat. This is sub-optimal over the 5IVx6IV breed, which guarantees 4IVs or better.

Now, let's say you're breeding with 2 5IV pokemon with x in the same stat. Just like the 5IVx6IV breed, the absolute worst you can expect is 4IVs: the RNG can pick the random stat in something perfect, plus the RNG can pick the x stat for either the mother or the father. The problem with this is that you're more likely to get 4IV pokemon, as the RNG can pick the mother to pass the x stat, and it can pick the father to pass the x stat (where with a 5IVx6IV, it can only pick the x stat from the 5IV), thus breeding between 2 5IV pokemon with x in the same stat is STILL sub-optimal.

Thus, in general, it is always superior to breed with a 5IV and a 6IV pokemon over 2 5IV pokemon.

If you dump a hatched (or caught) Pokémon with KeySAV it will display the TSV of the Original Trainer [number in regular brackets at the end of the line].
Since the 1.2 update (to X and Y) Instacheck doesn't do it's thing anymore.

haha you're welcome. Yeah, once you're in the house I don't think there's any way to change it before you leave.
 
Would like a Manectric, preferably Lightiningrod with HP Ice or Grass, though any Electrike will do if no one has that for trade

1. Can this Pichu be Soft-Reset for perfect IVs?
2. If not, would a 26 / 12 / 8 / 8 / 26 / 22 one be of any value?

I don't if it can be SRed, but maybe so someone should check this. This Pichu can't be used competitively, it misses a lot in the offensive stats (76 EVs and 92 EVs respectively.).

I wouldn't think it would be used competitively, I was just wondering if it's valued because of rarity.

I know the Spikey Eared stays in gen 4, but I have one in X and Y that matches the OT, ID, Ball, ect. of the Wi-Fi event that someone traded me while helping me with my dex
