Just because it made it through Pokébank does not mean it's legit, I'm afraid. That hack checker is basic at best.

I definitely didn't have to go and test this out myself... But you're right, Shedinja uses up 1 Pokéball from the bag, and is forced inside one upon hatching arrival creation. In which case, best ball for Shedinja is Pokéball \o/.

I think you're right, Serebii is a bit vague on this, but it looks like from Gen IV onwards Shedinja can only be in Pokéball. In Gen III, it would come in the same ball that Nincada was caught in.

4th-6th gen, standard pokeball.
3rd gen it uses the ball the Nincada was caught in.
