Welcome to the CAP Metagame's Community Team Building Project! In this project, we will be starting from the vast empty canvas Pokémon Showdown!'s Teambuilder and creating something beautiful (hopefully). This will attempt to mirror the CAP Project in it's step-by-step process of conceptualizing then realizing the idea for a Pokémon, but in our case, we swap the CAPmon with a CAP team. We'll start by submitting ideas for what we want the team to do. From there, we vote on which idea seems the best, and act towards making that team. After the focus of the team is decided, we decide on how it needs to be built (i.e. Core 1 / Core 2). In the next step, we submit, vote on, and add Pokémon to fulfill to roles for each core, sweeper, or wall. Once the team has been made, we test it out, and fix what needs to be fixed, continuing to abide by the voting process. The fixing will only happen once, as to keep the project from being never-ending.

All Pokémon submissions should be made in the following format.

[Image] *optional*

Name @ Item
Ability: [ability]
EVs: Amount / Amount / Amount
[nature] Nature
IVs: Amount *optional*
- Move1
- Move2
- Move3
- Move4

Role:
Special Wall, Rapid Spinner, Physical Wall, Wallbreaker, Physical Sweeper, Special Sweeper, Late-game Cleaner, Hazard User, Revenge Killer, Bulky Attacker, Tank, Lure, Mixed Attacker, Support (weather support...) etc.

What It Does: Talk about how it does its role, essentially. Talk about the moves, item, and EV spread, and talk about how it fares against common Pokemon.

Good Teammates: Obviously, Pokemon it works well with, and why.

What Counters It: Again, obvious, talk about the Pokemon that trouble it, hinder it, or otherwise limit it as it tries to carry out the duties of its role.

Any Additional Info: Alternate EV spread, items, and ideas, as well as other miscellaneous information

Now comes the concept submission part. What needs to happen here is very basic, but can be completely messed up if the following rules are ignored.
  • Each individual may post only one concept, however submissions should not resemble that of another's.
  • Posts shouldn't specify more than one Pokémon used for the concept of the team.
  • Do not bash other players' submissions.
  • Teams should be made specifically for the CAP Metagame; any submission made for other tiers (UU, Ubers, Hackmons) will be ignored.
  • All Pokémon Showdown! and Smogon rules apply.
All Concept Submissions should be made in the following format:
  • Name - Don't get too clever with the name. If the essence of the concept is not intuitively obvious in the name, then you are hurting your chances of people understanding it.
  • Description - This is the official description of the concept, and must follow ALL the content rules listed above. Do not make this a long description. Long descriptions are invariably too specific or too convoluted. Keep it short. Any more than a sentence or two is TOO MUCH. Do NOT include your Explanation of the concept in the Description. See "Explanation" below.
  • Justification - In this part, you answer why this concept would fit well into the metagame and perform splendidly. Don't just say that the certain playstyle or team is broken.
  • Explanation - This can contain just about anything. This is where you can explain your concept without restraint.
Let the submissions begin, and I'll see you all in the outlining process.

Name - Azumarill Beatdown
Description - A Hyper Offense team based around Azumarill capable of specifically taking down the top threats in CAP.
Justification - Fairies has been a powerful force in the CAP Metagame since their introduction in X and Y. Both Physical and Special threats have arisen (Mawile, Sylveon, Gardevoir, Clefable), but some uncharted territory is still left to fully explore. Azumarill has been heavily ignored due to being checked and walled by two of the most used Pokémon in the tier, being Tomohawk and Mollux. This team will allow us to use Azumarill to its full potential, and specifically eliminate threats to Azu. Offensive power will be key in making and using this team since Stall and Bulky Balance are very common in the tier. The team needs to be able to size up the opponent's team, and send it to a watery grave.
Explanation - I miss seeing that good ol' 100% being displayed when an OHKO is made. Stall and overly bulky teams have taken that away. It's time to reclaim what's ours.

I would like to know if I am able to directly respond to teams to address questions that I feel are already answered in cap, or any other appropriate thing that should be said. Also, what is appropriate in the response section?

You are allowed to directly respond to other users posts. Everything is appropriate so long as it stays on topic and follows the rules.

Tomohawk is not the king of stall. If you really want some out to tomohawk, then just use gothitelle. The only way they can save tomohawk is with a shed shell or by running baton pass. If they chose the latter if anything, then their set is crippled and you can more easily deal with it any time in the game. Stall is not the problem in this meta. Any good player can beat stall. Obviously this is just an opinion, and I'll post a concept for this team later this week after I think.
