Hi, my name is sticky is fon. With the departure of aegislash the meta blew open allowing new megas to succeed in ou, for example mega medicham. This team is centered around mega medicham and its goal is to weaken everything to the point where every time megacham comes in it gets a kill. Stall is also a huge part of this meta which means every team has to have a way to break stall. Medicham is one of the best stall breakers right now in my opinion. Skarmory gets 2hkod on switch in, so does anything else that doesnt resist high jump kick. The 2 major threats to this team are greninja and slowbro but I manage to work around them. So lets begin :]
Mew @ Leftovers
Ability: Synchronize
EVs: 252 HP / 136 SpD / 120 Spe
Careful Nature
-Taunt
-Knock off
-Roost
-Will-o-Wisp
Stall breaker Mew plays a major supportive role on my team, the speed investment allows him to outspeed jolly mega tar, thus allowing him to get a willow off. Mew is also a great switch in to Latios as life or draco is only doing about 55%. This means that even when rocks are up mew can switch in on a draco and either go for roost or knock off. In combination with ferrothorn, keldeo gets somewhat effectively walled as long as you can predict right. Mew is also a great check to cm Clefable as it can taunt and proceed to wear down the clefable.
252 SpA Life Orb Latios Draco Meteor vs. 252 HP / 136+ SpD Mew: 220-259 (54.4 - 64.1%)
Ferrothorn @ Leftovers
Ability: Iron Barbs
EVs: 252 HP / 84 Def / 172 SpD
Sassy Nature
-Gyro Ball
-Leech Seed
-Spikes
-Protect
Ferrothorn is something that this team needs, without it i have nothing for mega gyarados. Mandibuzz can somewhat take hits from it, but cant really dish out much back. Ferrothorn is also a great counter to azumarill, unless they carry superpower. The reason I'm running leftovers over rocky helmet is the survivability that ferro gains with it. Leech Seed recovery combined with leftovers and protect allows you to wall tons of physical threats such as Garchomp, mega Gyarados, DD dragonite (most dont run fire punch anymore), etc. The spikes on ferrothorn are very beneficial to the team, especially since you will be forcing a ton of switches with medicham. Last the ev spread allows ferrothorn to switch in on a mega gardevoir hyper voice and then take either a hp fire or focus blast.
252 SpA Pixilate Mega Gardevoir Hyper Voice vs. 252 HP / 172+ SpD Ferrothorn: 79-93 (22.4 - 26.4%)
252 Atk Garchomp Earthquake vs. 252 HP / 252 Def Ferrothorn: 108-127 (30.6 - 36%)
252+ Atk Mold Breaker Mega Gyarados Earthquake vs. 252 HP / 252 Def Ferrothorn: 90-106 (25.5 - 30.1%)
Mandibuzz @ Leftovers
Ability: Overcoat
Evs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 Spe
-Foul Play
-Knock Off
-Roost
-Defog
This set doesnt need much explaining, the standard mandibuzz movepool, and standard physically defensive EVs. Mandibuzz's main job is to keep rocks off my side of the field, having rocks up limits my thundy's switch ins and losing thundy can often result in a lose. Besides being able to defog away hazards mandibuzz eats up physical hits like a monster. Mandibuzz is the only pokemon on my team that can take on bisharp. bisharp cant really do much to mandibuzz and in return foul play does 35%, this combined with any prior damage or life orb recoil makes it so bisharp should never come out on top. Defog on this team isnt something that you want to do, seeing as you will most likely have more hazards up then your opponent, but there isn't really any option. None of the rapid spinners have solid bulk and reliable recovery allowing them to get worn down as the game goes on.
Heatran @ Leftovers
Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 252 HP / 252 SpD / 4 Def
-Lava Plume
-Earth Power
-Stealth Rock
-Roar
Heatran in my opinion is good on almost any team, arguably the best typing in the game, and a decent movepool. Heatran is my rock setter and counter to a huge threat to my team being CM Clefable. The only move that clefable can use to hit me is moonblast which even at +6 still does pitiful damage. Heatran can be used as a great pivot switch vs thundurus as you can take a thunderbolt kind of well then proceed to switch to mew to eat up a focus
miss blast. Other then that heatran is a great special wall. Stone edge can be used as an alternative move over earth power, that way you can kill zard y, talon, and dent any of the other fliers in the ou meta.
0- Atk Heatran Stone Edge vs. 4 HP / 0 Def Mega Charizard Y: 292-344 (97.9 - 115.4%) -- 81.3% chance to OHKO
0- Atk Heatran Stone Edge vs. 4 HP / 0 Def Talonflame: 316-372 (106 - 124.8%) -- guaranteed OHKO
Thundurus @ Life Orb
Ability: Prankster
EVs: 252 Spa / 252 Spe / 4 Def
-Thunderbolt
-Thunder Wave
-Focus Blast
-Hidden Power Ice
Thundurus can speak for itself, great speed tier, great ability, and great movepool. having prankster allows thundurus to stop almost any sweep no matter how fast the opponent is (of course if they have priority they will outspeed you). Unlike other prankster users thundurus does not lack on the offensive side, with extremely limited counters thundurus can fire off any one of its three attacks and dent whatever switches in, barring venusaur, the pink blobs, and amoongus. Without thundurus on my team, I get swept by zard x and mega pinsir so he is absolutely essential.
Medicham @ Medichamite
Ability: Pure Power
EVs: 252 Spe / 252 Atk / 4 SpD
-High Jump Kick
-Zen Headbutt
-Fake out
-Ice punch
Medicham is the definition of power with a massive attack stat Second only to mega mawile. Medicham has almost no switch ins, even resisted hits will leave a dent on most pokes. High Jump Kick is used for sheer power, base 130+STAB is nothing to mess around with. Zen headbutt is used over psycho cut for its ability to 2hko clefable. Fake out is free damage which nobody will turn down, and ice punch is a great coverage move. Medichams 2 biggest counters are the bro and mew, although if mew is not physically defensive it gets 2hkod by HJK. Bird spam, a huge threat to medicham, is checked by thundurus and heatran, allowing you to soak up hits that would otherwise destroy medicham.
