Just saying, the main purpose behind random battles is to test the adaptability of a player to a situation, and surmount seemingly impossible odds. Least that is what it meant last time I check some thing or another.

Why replace it with a tier that very few people play and most small rooms will be unable to find a player for? Replace it with LC/Doubles if anything.

Dpp was just something i mentioned because its something everyone loves. Im perfectly fine with Lc/dubs.

XY LC looks waaay better than random, and I'm pretty sure most rooms have at least one competent player in that tier.

Instead of doubles, I would enjoy balanced hackmons (even though it's probably not happening), and maybe replace one of the ou's with dubs. OU is popular, but I feel like having 2 makes other tiers underrepresented

No, because the majority of other rooms wouldn't be able to find a player that had any experience at all. It's tough to have a good, varied set of tiers that every room can field a team for while also keeping the tour at a low (odd) number - Doubles and LC are ahead in the pecking order anyway, sorry.
