XY OU A rain dance XY RMT. My first team in XY, and this is Wi-Fi only.

Please note that this team will be used in Wi-Fi battles only. Meaning, that any suggestions made regarding pokemon or movesets made must be possible in X and Y, no pokemon or movesets only obtainable in previous versions.

Please note that this is my first team in Pokemon X and Y, and my first ever rain dance team. If I mess this up, keep in mind that I am new to the XY metagame.

Without any further delay, here is my team.

Klefki @ Damp Rock
Ability: Prankster
Bold Nature
252 HP/ 252 Def/ 4SpD

-Rain Dance
-Toxic
-Spikes
-Foul Play

Rain Dance lead and Spiker. Klefki with the tools it possesses and the ability Prankster, screams support, and maybe a lead. Why did I choose Klefki as a lead? Because not only can I set up Rain Dance, right away, but also entry hazards down. For a team like this, Spikes is absolutely necessary for threats I'm trying to prepare for.

Dragonite @ Life Orb
Ability: Multiscale
EVs: 76 Atk / 252 SpA / 180 Spe
Mild Nature
- Hurricane
- Aqua Tail
- Thunder
- Roost

What attracted me to this Dragonite is how well it can abuse the rain, and it's a Mix Sweeper as well, which is what I'd really like. Why I chose Dragonite was to deal with Mega Heracross. While Dragonite can still take a lot of damage from Rock Blast, it can hang on long enough to unleash a Hurricane to OHKO it. In terms of base speed, Mega Heracross and Dragonite aren't exactly far apart. Aqua Tail and Thunder are both used to be greatly benefited from the rain. While I'm still at this point deciding whether I should bring Stone Edge with me to deal with Charizard Y.

Ferrothorn @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Iron Barbs
EVs: 252 HP / 88 Def / 168 SpD
Impish Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Leech Seed
- Power Whip
- Gyro Ball

Switch in to Water Types, and Grass Types and set up Stealth Rock, and leech seed. Can also deal with Azumarill. I'm mostly prepared for Vest Azumarill anyway. Power Whip OHKOs Azumarill with Spikes/Stealth rock and Rocky Helmet. Ferrothorn's high defense should be enough to hang on to a Superpower, so it can unleash a Power Whip to OHKO Azumarill after a Rocky Helmet/Iron Barbs damage and with Spikes set down. Ferrothorn can do very well in the rain because it's 4x weakness is halved in the rain.

Kingdra @ Life Orb
EVs: 64 Atk / 252 SpA / 192 Spe
Rash Nature
- Surf
- Draco Meteor
- Rain Dance
- Waterfall

All out mixed rain dance sweeper and benefits from the rain. With a mixed sweeper such as Kingdra, I don't need to worry too much about being walled. Why I chose this moveset for Kingdra is because again, I'm a big fan of mixed sweepers, and I am always prepared. And by being prepared, I gave Kingdra its own Rain Dance. I always do prefer it if my rain dance sweepers brought their own rain dance.

Lucario @ Life Orb
Ability: Justified
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Swords Dance
- Close Combat
- Earthquake
- Extreme Speed
[Ferrothorn Wall]

Counters Ferrothorn, and OHKO's with Close Combat. Also has earthquake as a check for Electric Types. Close Combat also deals with VestTar who will wall the majority of this team. The plan is to switch into pokemon that Lucario will wall easily, mostly grass types, and set up Swords Dance. The reason I chose Lucario is because it walls nearly all of Ferrothorn's common movesets. Ferrothorn is one of the biggest threats to Rain Dance teams and Lucario was the best pokemon for the job.

Roserade @ Life Orb
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 4HP/252 SpA/252 Spe
Timid Nature
-Leaf Storm
-Sludge Bomb
-Weather Ball
-Rest
[Grass type switch in. Azumarill Counter]

Roserade is one of my favorite pokemon, and I was never with out it since 4th gen. What I love about Roserade is its wide movepool, unique typing, and great versatility. In this case, I'm using Roserade as a full special sweeper, and it does very well with sweeping due to its high special attack, and base 90 speed. It has an added bonus of having access to Weather Ball and being able to demolish teams with super effective damage. One of my favorite combinations with Roserade is the Rest + Natural Cure Combo. Being able to heal up health and status and immediately switching out, thus given a chance to shine a second time.

Why did I choose Roserade for this team? Because Roserade's Leaf Storm will OHKO Vest Azumarill with Spikes and Stealth Rock support. The SpA penalty from Leaf Storm, along with Roserade's abysmal defense, a rest switch shouldn't be a problem.

Though I've considered, and felt Venusaur would be a better choice. I chose Roserade over Venusaur because Venusaur, while tanky in it's Mega Evolution, has no reliable source of recovery in the rain, unless dealing with Mega Charizard Y, which in this case would destroy Mega Venusaur anyway.

Here is the team I spent weeks making. I tried preparing for every threat I come across, and tried to make the best rain dance team I could. All team raters, please do your best on this, and don't hold back.

Just remember that all suggestions must be possible via Pokemon XY ONLY. This is a wifi team, and the game will not allow me to use pokemon native to previous versions.

I'll make just one suggestion to your team, mainly because I don't have the experience to say to for sure change anything:
Most Rain-Teams have a pokemon that can bring in rain based on their ability, such as Politoed or Kyogre.
However (Just remember that all suggestions must be possible via Pokemon XY ONLY) Kyogre is not availible in X/Y (but will be via trade with OMAS).
According to Bulbapedia, you can find Politoeds in the wild by fishing w/super rod @ route 19. It is a 5% chance and will be at level 50.
If you can get one, I would suggest adding Moonblast over Rain-Dance on Klefki.
If it helped, it helped, if not, there'll be someone better than me out there.

That Politoed has Water Absorb, you need Poltioed's hidden ability Drizzle.
