Hello this is my first RMT and I'd like to start off by saying that this is merely a team that i pretty much scrambled around when looking for a balanced-type team that checks most of the common OU threats, however it has gotten me WL ratio of 3:1 and almost a 1400 Elo for just a few days of tweaking it around so I believe it's my best as far as OU teams go.

chandelure.gif

Chandelure @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Infiltrator
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Energy Ball
- Shadow Ball
- Fire Blast
- Hidden Power [Ice]

Basically, depending on what I think my opponent's lead will be, this will always be my first and foremost lead. With Chandelure's diverse movepool and amazing special attack, it's capable of taking out many common leads such as Ferrothorn, Choice Scarfed Lando-T and even Rotom-W with Energy ball. This also makes for a great pokemon to switch into pesky fighting/normal types with fake-out (IE: Mega medicham)

garchomp-3.gif

Garchomp @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Rough Skin
EVs: 204 HP / 20 Atk / 252 Def / 32 Spe
Impish Nature
- Dragon Claw
- Earthquake
- Stealth Rock
- Roar

My second go-to lead depending on whether Chandelure is viable enough or if they choose to lead off with a physical Pokemon such as Talonflame or Excadrill. Speaking of Talonflame, this is actually what I specifically built this defensive Garchomp around. With rocks damage followed by Flare blitz/Brave bird recoil + Rocky helmet + Rough skin, garchomp immediatly takes out Talonflame with still more than half HP to spare for other physical sweeper like Mega scizor, Garchomp, and Bisharp.

tentacruel.gif

Tentacruel @ Black Sludge
Ability: Rain Dish
EVs: 252 HP / 240 Def / 16 Spe
Bold Nature
- Rapid Spin
- Toxic Spikes
- Ice Beam
- Scald

More of a mixed defensive set, this Tentacruel set is almost ideal for infamous set-up sweepers like Dragonite, Mega Gyarados and Azumarill. With Access to scald to burn the victims and Ice beam to take out other threats like the Genies and common dragon types. And lastly but not least, rapid spin to get rid of this pesky entry hazards that would normally deal tons to my other pokemon. My only gripe with this is that Tentacruel is so prone to EQ (Which it seems like everything carries nowadays) and barely takes them.

medicham-mega.gif

Medicham @ Medichamite
Ability: Pure Power
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Lax Nature
- Drain Punch
- Bullet Punch
- Fake Out
- Zen Headbutt

My main physical sweeper, Mega medicham is totally capable of taking out big stall threats/walls like chansey and heatran. And with access to bullet punch and fakeout, it can even take out clefable in some instances. While Psycho Cut and High jump kick seem more ideal for mega-cham, Drain punch manages to heal Medicham rather than hurt it (If HJK misses). And plus, Zen headbutt gets that flinch chance, who doesn't love that?

sylveon.gif

Sylveon @ Leftovers
Ability: Pixilate
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SpA / 252 SpD
Calm Nature
- Hyper Voice
- Protect
- Wish
- Heal Bell

My main Special wall and Utility, Sylveon is almost perfect for hard-hitting Special sweepers like Latios, Greninja, Zapdos and Thunderus-T. With wish to heal itself or it's team and heal bell to heal common status problems like toxic and burn. And lastly, Hyper voice works amazingly on pokemon like Sableye, basically any dragon types and even annoying stalls like Clefable and Zapdos.

thundurus-therian.gif

Thundurus-Therian (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Volt Absorb
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
- Thunderbolt
- Hidden Power [Flying]
- Sludge Wave
- Focus Blast

Lastly, we have my main Special attacker Thunderus-T. With a whoppinh 426 Special Attack, Thun-T is easily able to wipe out Magnezone, Heatran, Diggersby and even bulky pokemon like chansey with Focus Blast. Access with Sludge bomb gives it an upper hand against annoying fairy stallers like Sylveon and Clefable. HP Flying (Highly underrated) is a nice STAB move that easily removes of those like Breloom and Mega heracross.

Nice team Faxxifer.

Here are my suggestions:

1. Tentacruel: Ice Beam is suboptimal here as you have Scald already for Ground Types and even though you're concerned with the Genies... an opponent will be switching into Ferrothorn, Mega Scizor, Clefable or BellyJet Azumarill and either set up SR or prepare for their sweep. To at least moderately curb this, run Knock Off > Ice Beam instead. Though, to be perfectly honest, I would remove him altogether and put in Assault Vest Mold Breaker Excadrill with Rapid Spin / EQ / Iron Head / Rock Slide.

Though this might seem counter intuitive; but Excadrill and Garchomp's Steel and Dragon typings assist in luring certain mons in to allow for appropriate switches. (Ex. Fighting types like Heracross and Medicham trying to hit Exca only to receive massive recoil damage from Rocky Helmet Rough Skin Garchomp)

Excadrill @ Assault Vest
EV 120 HP / 136 Atk / 252 SpD
Ability: Mold Breaker
Adamant Nature
- Rapid Spin
- Earthquake
- Rock Slide
- Iron head

2. Medicham: Speaking of Medicham; please update the nature from Lax < Jolly (guessing this was a copy paste error) and change Bullet Punch < Substitute and Fake Out < High Jump Kick. Sub helps avoid status while a Medicham set with HJK is like trying to fight with one hand tied behind you back. Yes there is a chance you might crash and burn but any move + ability that effectively turns a Base 130 Attack to 195 Attack after STAB coming from a base 480 Attack is going to have so much Wallbreaking power that to NOT have some sort of drawback would be foolhardy.

These are my suggestions. Let me know what you think.

Hey an update on this, turns out this team is great and Excadrill is a perfect addition to the team and able to take out most fairy threats like Mega-Garde and FlinchHax Togekiss! Thanks alot!
