XY OU That one team without Excadrill

garchomp.gif

Garchomp @ Lum Berry
Ability: Rough Skin
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Swords Dance
- Earthquake
- Outrage
- Fire Fang
I wanted to use SD Garchomp because it can OHKO a lot of shit with +2 Outrage after the team has been weakened and faster threats are eliminated. Particularly good against stall (after it's weakned of course) as it can set up on things that would usually wall other sets such as Chansey, Ferrothorn and Mega venusaur. It can also set up on other things such as Rotom-W/H and Heatran easily with it's typing and Lum Berry. Earthquake is the main STAB to hit stuff hard and check Heatran. Outrage is good to use at the end of the game or when I need to hit walls a bit harder. Fire Fang is here to kill Mega Scizor and Ferrothorn at +2 which I don't like :[ also can get Skarmory if it's weakened a lot.
manectric.gif

Manectric @ Manectite
Ability: Lightningrod
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Thunderbolt
- Volt Switch
- Hidden Power [Ice]
- Flamethrower
Great pokemon in general. Weakens teams and gets free switches with Volt Switch. Most importantly checks/counters threats to offense such as Skarmory, Scizor, Azumarill, Greninja (after mega evo) and can gain momentum from them. Fast HP ice is also useful to hit stuff without locking myself into something with one of my scarfers. Thunderbolt is here for when I need a stronger STAB to OHKO stuff that Volt Switch can't or when I want to attack without switching out. Volt Switch is the main move and gains momentum against a lot of things including the stuff mentioned before. Flamethrower hits Ferrothorn, Scizor and can hit Excadrill on the switch.
azumarill.gif

Azumarill @ Choice Band
Ability: Huge Power
EVs: 240 HP / 252 Atk / 16 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Play Rough
- Waterfall
- Aqua Jet
- Facade
Good switch in to Keldeo/Greninja and does well against stall. I'm considering Assault Vest but it's usually used against physical attackers such as Dragonite, Kabutops, Charizard X so I think the power is more useful. Very useful against sand offense checking Excadrill in sand. Play Rough because fairy is a nice typing and hits things super effectively. Waterfall is also very spammable and it's nice to have a 100% accurate move. Aqua Jet to pick off weakened pokemon and check Excadrill. Facade to hit Rotom-W hard when burned and also does a lot to Venusaur switching in if statused 252+ Atk Choice Band Huge Power Azumarill Facade (140 BP) vs. 252 HP / 240+ Def Venusaur: 228-269 (62.6 - 73.9%)
252+ Atk Choice Band Huge Power Azumarill Facade (140 BP) vs. 252 HP / 240+ Def Mega Venusaur: 175-206 (48 - 56.5%). 16 speed EVs because fuck Azumarill speedties.
kyurem-black.gif

Kyurem-Black @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Teravolt
EVs: 252 Atk / 152 SpA / 104 Spe
Naughty Nature
- Ice Beam
- Outrage
- Fusion Bolt
- Earth Power
This guy can outspeed and OHKO most pokemon on offensive teams with Outrage and is usually my win condition vs them. It's Ice Beam isn't that powerful but it still OHKOs Landorus-T, Garchomp and Gliscor which are annoying. Fusion Bolt is mainly here for Azumarill but it can also be useful against Keldeo, Charizard Y and stuff without locking myself into Outrage. I wasn't sure what to put in the 4th slot so I put Earth Power for Heatran. Max attack EVs for max damage with Outrage, 104 speed EVs to outspeed Greninja and the rest of the EVs are in special attack.
latias.gif

Latias (F) @ Life Orb
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Defog
- Healing Wish
- Psyshock
- Draco Meteor
Nice bulky defogger. I might replace it as it gives things such as Skarmory, Tyranitar and Ferrothorn free switches which are annoying to my team. I usually use Latios but I'm using Latias this time because Healing Wish is useful for pokemon like Azumarill and Black Kyurem which I usually need to win the game. Also Garchomp can't really abuse the drops from Memento to set up. Defog is here to remove hazards which hurt all of my pokemon a lot. Psyshock is to help me check Charizard Y and Keldeo better and Draco Meteor is to spam and hurt stuff.
heatran.gif

Heatran @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 8 Atk / 252 SpA / 248 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Stone Edge
- Fire Blast
- Flash Cannon
- Earth Power
Scarf Heatran can check a lot of threats with it's good typing, speed and special attack. It's another check to Charizard X, Talonflame, Mega Pinsir, Mega Manectric, Mamoswine, Mega Gardevoir and others. Stone Edge is here for Talonflame so I don't have to take 2 Brave Birds/lose to an SD Roost variant. Fire Blast and Flash Cannon are for strong STABs and to hit some of the aforementioned pokemon. Earth Power is for other Heatran and Charizard X.

Hey, nice team! Here are my suggestions:

Dragon Claw over Outrage on both Garchomp and Kyurem-B ensure Fairies can't switch in and set-up (lookin' at you CM Clefable and BD Azumarill). Just food for thought.

Overheat over Flamethrower on M-Manectric allow you to get more OHKOs on mons like Excadrill, so that EQ won't knock you out.

Knock Off or Superpower on Azu over Facade. Facade gives you no coverage and how often is Azu going to get status'd anyways? Knock Off to handle ghost and get rid of items and Superpower for steel types like Ferro.

Hope it helps!

Ok thanks. Changed with Superpower on Azumarill. I'll probably put both Outrage and Dragon Claw on Kyurem (replacing Earth Power) just because Outrage is a lot more powerful for sweeping/cleaning offense.

Hey I'm here to suggest a few changes that should help. The first would be to use Stealth Rock instead of Fire Fang on Garchomp. Your team desperately needs entry hazard support because of its offensive nature and with Stealth Rock support it'll be easier for the team to secure KOs. Also at +2 Garchomp 2HKOs Scizor and Ferrothorn with Earthquake so there's little reason to use Fire Fang. I also suggest using a physically based Kyurem-B moveset. It has a monstrous base 170 Attack and can use it to break down a bunch of defensive threats. 224 Spe evs are to outpace Scarfed Adamant Landorus-T. You could also use Naive nature to outspeed +1 Adamant Mega Charizard X. Azumarill needs speed to be able to beat Clefable, which is a huge threat to your team. 100 Spe EVs are all Azumarill needs to outspeed CM Clefable and 2HKO it with Waterfall or Play Rough. You can dump the rest into HP for some extra bulk. Everything else looks fine, good luck and I hope I helped.
Kyurem-Black @ Choice Scarf
EVs: 252 Atk / 32 SpA / 224 Spe
Naive Nature
- Outrage
- Dragon Claw
- Fusion Bolt
- Ice Beam

Edit: Substitute + 3 Attacks Kyurem-B is also really good, Substitute allows Kyurem-B to net 2 or more KOs while avoiding status moves and would prevent Kyurem-B from being easily revenge KOed, if played correctly.

I would run life orb on kyurem, kyurem-B is an amazing wall breaker, and the life orb nabs some kills that it can't with a choice scarf, like OHKOing Azumarill after rocks with no investment, plus you have Heatran for a scarfed so it seems a bit redundent. I personnaly like to run overheat on Manetric because it does have the nasty SpA drop, but Manetric usually is a pivot so it doesn't have to worry about the drop too much, plus the power is a huge boom over flamethrower.
