History

It's a chimney that hasn't really changed at all except for Volt Switch. Nice Mustache. Kinda looks like it levitates but it doesn't. Massive fail. Always been up against the same threats like Steelix and Primeape and always been NU.

Qualities

Volt Switch, Magnet Pull, decent typing, Thunder Wave, Stealth Rock, Taunt, defenses. Kills annoying things like Ferroseed.

Playing with it

Basically use Volt Switch a lot and set up rocks. Let the opponents die with entry damage. Hit stuff with Thunder Wave and Toxic when it isn't running away, unleash Hidden Power Fire on Ferroseed, maybe use an Air Balloon for the fun of it even though rocks make it kinda dumb. I suppose it can switch into the odd Outrage Dragon and does a very good job at tackling special attackers without things like Focus Blast and Earth Power.

Probopass @ Leftovers
Modest Nature
EVs: 172 HP / 252 SpA / 84 Spe
Move1: Volt Switch
move2: Thunder Wave
move3: Flash Cannon
move4: Earth Power

Outspeeds things like Hariyama and hits with STAB Flash Cannon or Earth Power for the Steel-types in the tier. Modest and 252 SpA gives power and rest in HP. You can do more defensive sets with Stealth Rock over Earth Power and Calm nature.

It has a bunch of silly moves like Magic Coat and Gravity. Pain Split is kinda situational but works. Torment and Protect could be funny but is mehh. Laughable.

Playing against it

Ground types generally screw with Volt Switch, things like Lanturn with Volt Absorb as well. Use a Fighting type like Sawk or Primeape maybe. Taunt can stop it setting up rocks but doesn't do much else. It's kinda very slow and doesn't have any good way to recover itself. Knock Off its item, it can't cope without Leftovers or a Balloon. Most sets are similar so you can't really say much more. Just wear it down and cripple it.

Build a team with it

Well something that can set up Spikes or Toxic Spikes would be a good start, Crustle and Accelgor work well. Some other stuff like Qwilfish and Ferroseed can work. Maybe a Ghost or Psychic type like Uxie or Mismagius can deal with its nasty weaknesses. Wish or Leech Seed support would be helpful, things like Xatu and Vileplume are good. Xatu is very good. You can use Musharna for the fun of it. Chimney and mutant pink blob. Things like Zangoose can come in from a slow Volt Switch and have a free poisoning for offensive fun. Probopass is a Steel killer so anything that needs Steel-types gone are a must. Swellow and friends like Steelix and Ferroseed gone. Poison-types can have more fun too. Oh and Fairies, they can kill stuff. Mainly Surpluff and Granbull but Mr.Mime is there too I guess.

Hi Komodo. idk how spotlights work, and i dont think NU has had one so far in XY. But Probopass seems kind of weird as a spotlight Pokemon. It is only B-rank in the viability rankings, which I think is generous for it. And there are just so many Pokemon that are both more common and better than Probopass. I think the content tht you have here is solid (tho Probopass needs HP Fire if it wants to trap steels). Maybe if i could get some NU people to actually write things :((

Outspeeds things like Hariyama
Not really sure how that's relevant, but okay.

Siding with Raseri, Probo is not a key threat to any teambuilder, and would be more suitable to be featured in a NU Steel/Rock special.
