ORAS General Discussion - Mark 2 - Spoilers Inside

Well, however you want to word it as long as long as the implication that it can't primal devolve isn't hidden in the words. Like you could say "they explained why this form is a mega and not a primal" :p

is it just me or is your main goal on this forum to just try and shoot down every suggestion people make? I'm not meaning to get too confrontational here, I just realized suddenly that almost every conversation I see you having is about how someone's suggestion obviously won't be included in the game.
Sorry, I shouldn't bring my opinion that's different from your own and create discussion or debate. I'll remember that in future.

EDIT: Nah, but what I meant was just that I feel like you have a really big bias towards chiming in on a discussion about what won't be happening rather than what exciting new things could be. But I might be being too direct so my bad.

Anyway I didn't mean to give them impression I wasn't happy with Mega Rayquaza cause that thing is sick. Just seems easy to expect we'll get a second form too.

The design isn't quite as good as regular Quaza, but is fine.
Part of me hopes that Shiny Mega Rayquaza is red just so I can make a Yu-Gi-Oh reference in naming it Slifer. A guy can dream, can't he?

Red shiny Rayquaza would look amazing @_@ But I don't think they're changing that. Black shiny Rayquaza was even featured in Conquest, so that seems to be pretty consolidated. And a shiny pokémon changing colors when it mega evolves is actually the exception and not the rule, which makes a non-black Rayquaza even less likely :/

(Now I'm in love with the red Rayquaza in my mind. GF never gets it right when it comes to shiny pokémon...)

Y-yes dear, I won't hurt you ever again
On a related note, do you guys think this is maybe possibly it for ORAS pre-release information? I mean... ruling out the possibility of a last-minute other mega ray, I'm honestly not entirely sure how they could top this and catch peoples' attention. Is a month or two before release usually when the news stops coming?

And that's going to be scary. But still revenge killed by any Choice Scarfed Mence/Chomp/Latias. On the other hand, unless said Scarfers are at full health, I don't know if they could stand a +1 Extremespeed.

ES complements M-Quaza so well that even after a couple of defense drops you can't just send out any priority user to revenge kill it. So here's my new motto: never switch out when you're facing Mega Rayquaza. You're better off losing whatever's on the field than letting this beast get a DD.

It gets Swords Dance too. I hope it gets a nice 130 speed base stat to outspeed Arceus and the like.

I'm reading that Strong Winds is an upgraded Air Lock, so ALL weather abilities are over-ridden while in use. Including Desolate Land and Primordial Sea, preventing re-activation if they switch in.

Of course, I'm getting this info off of Serebii so can anyone back me on this?

Still got two months of coro coro though don't we?

you guys are the new OTP replacing myself and Narutendo.

On the topic of having a Primal Rayquaza, I think that the story will explain something along the lines of "Rayquaza was already content with himself, and didn't feel the need to bank on primal energy to increase the density of the atmosphere" or something. If he DID have a Primal form, he may have just evolved out of it as time went by. As was stated by stage7_4 Rayquaza mega evolved to be the voice of the people, so his MEvo would be his go-to super mode because he's more in-tune with keeping the peace instead of following a personal desire...or something

No way. We're getting the demo which is supposed to feature a never-before-seen mega pokémon and two Coro Coros before release. And the mega evolution Act II premier which was told to explain Rayquaza's link to mega evolution. They're not dropping the subject just now.

Oh yeah, forgot about the demo... come to think of it, do you think that might be Latis considering the Mega Evolution Act II shows the Latis' silhoettes?

Delta Stream will override Primordial Sea / Desolate Land, but it will not prevent their activation. If Primal Groudon switches into Mega Rayquaza, Desolate Land will override Delta Stream instead.

The official site does not list Air Lock as an ability that will fail to influence the Primal Weathers. It can be assumed that Air Lock (and Cloud 9) will negate Primordial Sea, Desolate Land, and Delta Stream while active.

We can consider 'Weather-changing priority' now, as if a lower priority weather changer (All that existed before ORAS) cannot override a higher priority one (Mega/Primal Weather trio's abilities) :P

Do you mean this image? Because I took a second look and I couldn't find the silhouette you mentioned. Or do you mean the shiny thing that is red on top, green in the middle and dark purple further down? If so, that's just the mega evolution symbol, the same you find inside the energy ball on top of the word "evolution".

They probably just wanted to draw the line in the sand that primal devolution is a bad thing m'kay? Despite whatever game bonuses, it seems that the story might be treating it like shadow pokemon, power at the cost of madness. Mega-evolution is power of friendship, so the hero Rayquaza mega-evolves based on positive feelings while the other two go through devolution due to negative ones.

This isn't new, since the very first primal (Primal Dialga) was depicted as a very very bad thing too.

While there isn't any information explicitly ruling out Primal Rayquaza, there also isn't any to support it either. Please stop bringing it up. We got a mega, be happy.

Dark dialga is a localization error, not the first primal. Its dark dialga wich under pain lost control of its ability.

People always bring this mistake like if it was something big. It isnt, just a legendary in pain suffering from cronical power incontinence.

It has nothing to do with emotions The lore stablishes that both primals fought each other to capitalize on that power and then yoloquaza scolded them hard.

I'm talking about this image; a screenshot of the intro to Mega Evolution Act II which I think was shown on Get TV. It shows the base form of every Pokémon capable of Primal and Mega Evolution known to us currently... as well as Latias.

Oh no, so mega Lati@s IS a thing after all... But please GF don't forget to give us Soul Dew.

Pretty much my response. Oh well, my arguments against it's existence were probably too hopeful anyway.
Regardless, when's the special supposed to air? Because either this would be a little sneak peek or they'd have to reveal Mega Latis in some way very soon before the special airs.

According to Serebii, it's going to air November 6th. So I think I know what this month's Coro Coro is going to show us (on the other hand, they don't have to show us mega Lati@s in the first episode, so maybe they could wait until after the first episode has aired and just reveal them in November's Coro Coro).

If it's airing then, then I've almost no doubt Mega Latis will be demo. But we'll see... we'll see.
