XY LC Analysis Reservation Index

Just out of curiosity, what's the deal with the QC checks? It has been almost two months since my Frillish article got its first check.

you can always contact qc members, theyre not going to always get to every analysis. you can find them on irc, showdown, etc. They do occasional runthroughs for checks, but they cant get to everyone unless you ask sometimes.

Requesting permission to take over Pumpkaboo-Super. Professor Birch's thread has been inactive for quite awhile, and, personally, I think the EVs within it could be improved.

This is very important. The Little Cup C&C forum has been sort of dead lately and, as such, a few issues and misconceptions have arisen that I feel need to be addressed. I've already spoken with macle about this.

  • Just because your reservation request has been sitting in this thread for 72 hours, that does not mean it's okay for you to go ahead and post. Wait for a moderator's approval in this thread. Please do not post threads without a LC C&C moderator's permission, even if the previous writer said it's fine for you take their project over. We need to approve it so that we can update things accordingly and keep track of who's doing what.
  • A lot of people seem confused about when and when not to transfer QC status to a new analysis thread when the project is assigned to a different writer. This is up to discretion of moderators, but USUALLY, a QC status can be transferred over if there haven't been any bans or other metagame shifts that affect how that particular Pokemon operates. If an analysis was written before a ban or metagame shift that affects it or one of its important partners, checks, or counters, it will need a brand new set of QC checks.
  • Please make a post after each QC check or GP check is implemented, indicating that you have done so. Not only does it let us know you've put in the changes, but it also bumps the thread and generally helps the process go much faster for the writer, the QC team, and moderators alike.
  • There seems to be some confusion about moderators not being able to have a say in QC or in the writeup itself after an analysis goes into the GP phase; let me make it clear that this idea is completely wrong. If we need to make a necessary change so that incorrect information does not go onsite after upload, it does not matter which phase the analysis is in. Our analyses need to be fully correct and updated to suit the current metagame.
  • For LC Quality Control team: You guys do a great job. However, I've been noticing that a lot of checks are just a simple "2/3" while errors remain and important things are left out; please try to be thorough. If you don't have the time to do a thorough check right then, it's better to not post than to move the analysis along while leaving errors in it. For whoever does the FINAL QC CHECK, it is especially important to comb through the writeup and make sure there are no errors, even small ones, because it's not GP's job to catch metagame-related errors, and a lot of them don't know the meta well enough to fix that stuff even if they wanted to.


If you have any questions, you may contact me on here, on Showdown, or on IRC. The C&C mods for Little Cup are myself, Rowan, macle, and blarajan. The latter two are Little Cup's co-leaders and Rowan is inactive at this time, so I'm probably the easiest person to reach for C&C things right now. I'm also a member of the GP team if you need a GP check. Don't be afraid to ask!

I'll do a cleanup of this thread soon, as well as a restructure of the index so that each Pokemon has a link to its current analysis as well as its writer.
 
idk if this is the right place to post this but the fact that protect is slashed on one of fletch's sets really bothers me, especially because since slashes are listed in alphabetical order it appears to be the first slash over uturn. this might lead people to think protect is good on fletch when in reality its never worth giving up the utility of uturn for doing better against like, aipom. so that should probably be removed.

Slash order has been fixed in the onsite analyses; the only thing that's alphabetical now to my knowledge is the set order. How did this even make it to upload? I'm not pointing fingers at anyone in particular here, but this is precisely why we need for QC to be extra observant. But yea, I'll get it removed as soon as possible.

Remember that we'll likely be revamping pretty much everything when ORAS comes out too.

Some of my older analyses have mentions of Misdreavus in them, I'm pretty sure. Is there a way to remove them?

disclaimer: very few that are marked on that list as 'available' are already reserved. I believe the remainder of the Pokemon allowed are things like Rufflet, Squirtle, Pidgey, etc. You'll know if you look throughout the forum of which are in progress

Exactly what i needed! I'll try running some of these pokes that aren't reserved and try coming up with sets, then hopefully a full analysis for them. Thanks!

Yeah, I saw. Which is why I asked for permission.

Anyways, if I need to add a convincing argument (because no analysis for snorunt is stupid tbh):
  • Most Pokemon that can't have an analysis are genuinely bad, and unusable (see: sentret)
  • Snorunt finds a niche as a user of both Disable AND Spikes, meaning it can force switches and set spikes up on the switch
  • Access to priority in Ice Shard means it beats most users of Sturdy / Focus Sash
  • Beats many opposing leads (OHKOs archen with ice beams while it sets up rocks, Hippopotas, SR Diglett)
Anyways I'll write more later (if needed), but I think this is enough to consider for an analysis. Either way, LC is one of my main tiers and I've already completed 4 analyses for it, so if I were to write an analysis for it I wouldn't do a bad job or anything.

no, basically, when I got on Smogon i see you posted last in the XY LC Reservation Index, and I always look at new posts in any reservation index, even if I don't write for LC (though i tried too) so dont be afraid lol
