XY OU Let's do this! 6th Gen RMT

Keldeo-Resolute @ Choice Specs
keldeo-resolute.gif

Ability: Justified
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Scald
- Hydro Pump
- Icy Wind
- Secret Sword
Keldeo is an absolute BEAST on the field. Secret Sword and Scald can kill almost anything and if you want to take a risk Hydro Pump is there to help you out. Icy wind can take out the likes of Garchomp and Dragonite and such and just generally wrecks anything that it can outspeed. I really like using Keldeo as he has a monstrous Special Attack.

Pinsir @ Pinsirite

pinsir-mega.gif

Ability: Mold Breaker
Happiness: 0
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Frustration
- Quick Attack
- Earthquake
- Swords Dance
General Pinsir set here, but once it gets set up it can OHKO or THKO almost anything. Frustration over return is so that any opposing Ditto with their happiness set up high can't do much, QA for priority and Earthquake can kill any pesky fire or electric types that dare cross it. SD helps Pinsir sweep easier, but in most cases usually isn't needed. I'm think about replacing EQ with Close Combat since Exca and Ttar already have it. I'm also considering switching Mold Breaker with Hyper Cutter so I don't get intimidated but TBH I don't think it matters much anyway :P

Excadrill @ Choice Band
excadrill.gif

Ability: Mold Breaker
EVs: 120 HP / 136 Atk / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Rapid Spin
- Earthquake
- Iron Head
- Rock Slide
The rapid spinner. Excadrill is set up in such away that if Rapid Spin isn't needed, it can still hit hard and fast if needed. Choice Band wasn't first option, but still does it's job anyway. Rock slide is like one of my favourite moves so that's all cool and Iron Head really does away with fairies and he's been on all of my In game teams since B/W so I'm really having a blast using him :)

Tyranitar @ Choice Scarf
tyranitar.gif

Ability: Unnerve
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Pursuit
- Crunch
- Earthquake
- Stone Edge
Pursuit trapper for psychics like Alakazam and Lati@s that would otherwise destroy this team. Crunch does excellent STAB damage and stone edge can deal a lot of damage to opponents who don't expect it. Unnerve > Sand Stream because I'm not running a sandstorm team and it would otherwise hinder me though if anyone really cares they can tell me why to run it over Unnerve.

Gengar @ Black Sludge
gengar.gif

Ability: Levitate
EVs: 28 HP / 148 SpA / 80 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Substitute
- Shadow Ball
- Will-O-Wisp
- Taunt
Support pokemon for the team. I was initially going to go with Mandibuzz but using her would mean half my team would have a weakness to fairy and electric types so yeah. I really want to get another taunter but I can't think of anything that doesn't give my team 3 weaknesses to something. Even with 252 EVs in Speed, he usually gets outsped so I a desperately looking for a replacement so if anyone wants to suggest one that would be great.

Mamoswine @ Focus Sash
mamoswine.gif

Ability: Oblivious
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Endeavor
- Ice Shard
- Earthquake
Usual lead Pokemon, set up stealth rock, then Ice Shard and Endeavor from there. EQ is just there, it doesn't usually get used much. Sometimes I use Gengar for a lead instead and taunt them (if I can predict it) but most of the time I just roll with Mamo. Ice shard works really nicely on some leads though and endeavor can completely throw them out of whack.

I'd really like to become better at this team because I haven't had that many wins so if anyone could link me to some resources about being a better battler that would help me so much ^_^

QUESTIONS THAT NEED ANSWERING (PLEASE):
  1. Are there any guides on the forums that could help me become a better battler?
  2. Mega Manectric absolutely destroys me as it outspeeds everything. How can I counter it?

As for answers to your questions:
1. Google questions, with the word smogon
2. Scarf Lando-T with earthquake. Don't switch it in, HP ice is there.

Hi there GreatTornado, this is a pretty cool team you got here :) Seeing as how common threats such as Azumarill, Greninja, Mega Manetric, Mega Gardevoir and Keldeo kinda steamroll your team, I think taking your team into a more balanced direction would be beneficial. Becuase the likes of Ferrothorn and Slowbro are drastically rising in usage, Mamoswine is not as efficient as a Stealth Rock setter, and it doesn't really provoide anything else for your team when it comes to defensive synergy. For these reasons, I suggest that you make your Tyranitar a Smooth Rock variant with Stealth Rock, change your Excadrill set to a Sand Rush set with a Life Orb, and exchange Mamoswine for a Ferrothorn of your own. These changes gives your team a lot offensive presence, as Excadrill under Sand can be a major threat to a lot of teams. It also enables Excadrill to Rapid Spin more efficiently, as it isn't going to be locked into Rapid Spin. Defensive Tyranitar is handily enough a great switch-in to Mega Manetric, which is one of the pokes you mentioned troubled your team. It is also a great check to Latios and Latias, which are very common in the current metagame. Ferrothorn is an amazing Pokemon in general, and adding it would decrease your weakness to Azumarill, Gardevoir and Greninja a lot. It's also capable of setting Spikes consistently, which is great for easening a potential sweep with Mega Pinsir and Keldeo.

On the topic of those two, I would advise running Close Combat over Earthquake on Pinsir, and Hidden Power Electric over Icy Wind on Keldeo. Close Combat is a great move for breaking the likes of Rotom-W and Skarmory once weakened a little bit, while it still hits Heatran and Tyranitar for super effective damage. Icy Wind is great on Keldeo for luring Lati@s and Dragonite, but adding Ferrothorn and making Tyranitar defensive already takes good enough care of these threats. Instead, Hidden Power Electric lets your beat Slowbro, Alomomola, Gyarados in non-mega forme, and Suicune 1v1, which is quite the feat seeing as how these are common switch-ins to Keldeo. The lst change I am going to propose, is changing Gengar's set to a Life Orb one with 3 attacks and Taunt. This set is great in the current metagame, as there are very few switch-ins to Shadow Ball / Sludge Wave / Focus Blast. This also lets you beat CM Clefable 1v1, which can be quite the threat to your team once Excadrill goes down.
