ORAS General Discussion - Mark 2 - Spoilers Inside

So now we know everything about the new megas, etc. in ORAS. This reveals a very sad truth: Unless there are megas in the full games that are not in the demo (which seems unlikely; why would GF add data for Megas other than Steelix, Glalie, Sceptile, Swampert, and Blaziken?), we will not be seeing Mega Flygon or Milotic.

At least, not in OR/AS anyway.

Also, I find it oddly amusing that only Primal Groudon and Kyogre really gain brand new shiny colors (Glalie and Audino barely change at all...) and they simply adopt Rayquaza's shiny colors. I suppose a lot of people are now going to be RNG'ing them in Luxury Balls from previous games to be shiny to match this.

Mega Flygon will either be Bug/Dragon, or/and it will finally learn Quiver Dance,
as it learns Bug Buzz and Boomburst in ORAS, eventhough it's special attack is mediocre, at best.

So seeing as it is likely that "Mega" Hoopa is not a Mega at all, I think we should propose names to call it until we can get an official announcement or more data. I put forth "Newpa" as a possible candidate. Or "Shoopa" as it reminds me of the Hindu god Shiva.

It is unknown what the psychic/dark hoopa is. It might be a mega, it might be an alternate form. There wasn't enough data for them to tell.

They did the same thing to Sceptile, Blaziken and Swampert with theirs in Gen 4.

It appears that the Kalos starter sig. moves were passed onto Cacturne, Mismagius and Accelgor.

It is unknown what the psychic/dark hoopa is. It might be a mega, it might be an alternate form. There wasn't enough data for them to tell.

Judging by the fact that it has an ability that requires the user to not hold an item, only gets an 80 base stat increase as opposed to 100, and has a unique level up movepool from regular Hoopa, I find it likely that it is indeed not a Mega.

...Wait, this better not mean we're getting a Spiky Shield Ferrothorn.
